Chapter 700: Chapter 283, Didn’t Expect This, Did You?_2
How can I help, with my fists?
Austin instinctively wanted to refuse, but noticing his family in the distance out of the corner of his eye, he silently nodded, "It’s doable, as long as it enables me to master my powers quickly and safely overcome the crises of the Icebound Continent, I can endure any pain and torment."
"Rest assured, there will be no pain and torment. You are a knight to be admired, they will definitely like you," Mula declared with a pat on his chest, ensuring it was only training, and not a one-sided beating.
All those ten years of bitter waiting, settling personal scores, seeking revenge, and personal vendettas, none exist.
Austin curled his lip indifferently. Compared to the true pain he feared, these matters were insignificant.
Austin’s calm acceptance impressed Mula, who said, "You are an outstanding knight. The Dark Goddess did not choose wrong. Right now, you might not compare to us, but in the future, you will surely surpass us."
Mula was the kind of person that easily disarmed others, not through acting, but through his chivalrous spirit and straightforward character, which made Austin feel inadequate.
By comparison, he even felt a sense of shame; he had lowered the moral standards of a God-chosen Knight...
Oh, when it comes to being rotten, there’s someone even worse, dominating the bottom slot like no other; compared to that, I’m doing quite well, okay!
Mula was a man of action. Without further ado, he invited Austin to the forbidden zone. After a moment’s thought, he called for Wayne as well.
"Let me introduce you. This is Wayne, Wayne Lando, the heir to the Naturalist Knights. He will be the next Naturalist Knight."
Mula clapped Wayne on the back proudly, "He’s exceptionally talented. You’re in the same era as a Dark Knight; you need to be careful not to be surpassed by him in the future."
That might be difficult. I’m just a Dark Knight, whereas he’s a quadruple-threat: Naturalist/Sun/Death/Dark Knight!
Austin extended his hand, "Wayne Lando, it’s a pleasure to meet you."
Looking at the offered gauntleted hand, Wayne blinked and shook his fingertips, "And you, Dark Knight, what is your name?"
"I have my reasons for not disclosing that, inconvenient as it may be. Even if I told you now, it’d be a made-up name. Saying it or not, it’s all the same."
Austin easily defused the challenge, "In front of two Naturalist Knights, I do not wish to lie; that would only tarnish the noble friendship between knights."
Such nice words, but to the unknowing, one might think you’re a protagonist!
Wayne felt contempt in his heart, unable to corner Austin and miffed that the latter had managed to elevate his moral stature in the process, directly said, "Mr. Mula, revealing my identity in front of the Dark Knight, isn’t that somewhat improper? After all, he and I live in the same place, Lundan. What if I should encounter him on some night... right?"
"No worries, I trust the Dark Knight."
Mula was unconcerned and, moreover, after this, Wayne would be a true Naturalist Knight.
If the Dark Knight had any schemes, Wayne could fully employ his own strength to confront him. The two of them enhancing each other could be a good thing.
That said, Wayne had no other options. He waved to Hefei and Veronica and, along with Saina, headed towards the Sealed Forbidden Zone.
Watching Saina sway gracefully behind Wayne, Veronica’s heart ached fiercely. If her Dragon Blood could break through its bindings, Wayne would not need Saina today; he would only become her exclusive Dragon Knight.
Hefei too felt downhearted as she watched the retreating backs of Austin and Megan, her heart chilling.
Suddenly, Hefei thought of the Diviner’s prediction for the future. Veronica dead—killed by the Death Knight. What would become of the Randao Family in the future if there were only Megan and Austin left?
It must not happen, absolutely not!x2
Two blonde heads close together, staring at each other, so strikingly similar.
"Mother, help me with my training. The Four Elements here are remarkably stable; I might be able to make further progress here," Veronica, feeling a strong sense of crisis and provoked by Saina, felt a relentless surge in her sense of competition.
Hefei shared the sentiment, struggling with whether to break free from the shackles of being a Legendary Mage. She was not incapable; rather, it was the fear of the Dragon Blood Curse that had delayed her actions.
At that moment, a curvaceous Dark Elf arrived at the cabin, her black hair flowing and her smile gracious.
At Mula’s behest, she had come to arrange accommodations for Wayne’s family.
Seeing a Dark Elf annoyed Hefei, their shapely figures with large busts, long legs, and slender waists—even though they paled in comparison to her, annoyance had no need for reasons.
Hefei’s demeanor was cold, but the Elf was unbothered. All newcomers to this place reacted this way; they would soften up given time.
Under the Elf’s guidance, the two came to their temporary residence, a two-story wooden cabin, crafted by Little Fairies with magic, complete with furniture, life essentials, and even a Little Fairy Gardener dedicated to them.
How adorable!
Swallowing her saliva, Veronica couldn’t wait to take one home to raise.
Thwack!
Hefei delivered a chop to Veronica’s head, "Stop looking. It’s precisely your lack of focus and ease of distraction by external influences that has prevented you from fully realizing your potential."
"Aren’t you the same, Mother?"
"Heh, come with me to the woods!"

In the Sealed Land, the light was soft, magical auroras draped like curtains, the greenery endless, and occasionally, one would see Little Fairies poking out of the bushes.
Wayne wondered, "Mr. Mula, where do these fairies come from? Did you raise them?"
"No, to be more precise, they are actually the dependents of an Ancient God."
Mula shook his head. The Little Fairies came from a world beyond the Seal, the domain of the relatives of the Ancient God, and strictly speaking, were part of the opposing camp.
