Chapter 552: Chapter 237: Teacher’s Teacher_3

Wayne and Veronica sat together in the back seat of a car, looking at the black and red flags hanging all over the streets, their emotions incredibly complicated.

Being there in person, witnessing the rumble of tank wheels moving forward, the world they thought they knew suddenly felt alien to them.

Wayne was curious, the God-chosen Continent wasn’t Europe, a steel flood wasn’t absolute, could Prussia still flaunt invincible military prowess?

If so, was The Church involved behind the scenes?

Who were Prussia’s backers, Dark Church or Death, or perhaps the Devil from Hell?

Furthermore, when that someone raised their hands high and the God-chosen Continent nearly fell, what did Windsor rely on to launch a counterattack? After all, this world didn’t have the filial eagles selling oil at a discount.

Thinking it over, Frank wasn’t worth a sneer. Windsor indulged in stirring trouble; when it came down to it, one still had to rely on whoever dug potatoes.

Oh, on the God-chosen Continent, that someone was known as the Ross Federation, situated in the northeast, so poor it was pitiful.

The Ross Federation was one of the seven divisions of the Naturalism Church; due to the fall of the Romanov family, the current ruler was indifferent towards The Church, leading to a rapid decline of the Naturalism Church’s influence in the Ross Federation—it was uncertain how much influence the two candidates had left.

Besides the Ross Federation, the other six divisions of the Naturalism Church were, in order, Iberia, Windsor, Frank, Prussia, Greece, and Sverlie.

Dividing the God-chosen Continent into five parts: east, south, west, north, and center; the Ross Federation was located in the east, Iberia and Greece in the south, Windsor and Frank in the west, Sverlie in the north, Prussia and the headquarters’ Austria in the center.

Wayne, holding a map of the God-chosen Continent, pondered that the Icebound Continent’s South Pole should have a major division; such a large area must have a say.

Then, he thought that perhaps that place was the lair of the Dark Church, for the Icebound Continent was known not only as the God-Forsaken Continent but also as the Dark Continent.

"What are you mumbling about over there, pass me the map and let me have a look?" Veronica leaned in, curious about what Wayne was studying.

It was Veronica’s first time traveling so far from home, without the familiar Wili, nor her mother and the big trash can, but she didn’t miss home at all.

The little trash can was in front of her eyes, and she felt oddly expectant.

In four months, perhaps something might happen.

The two leaned together looking at the map, their posture overly intimate, but Wayne wasn’t flustered at all; it was written in the documents that he and Veronica shared a surname, a brother-sister relationship.

It was reasonable for siblings to be close. The upper-class folks would think there was something wrong with the siblings and eagerly report it to the local orthopedic hospital.

"Just this map, you’ve been looking at it for so long?" Veronica couldn’t make anything out.

"Yeah, when looking at the map, I remembered Kris, she was really gentle that night."

Wayne glanced at Veronica, "That night Sister Kris confessed her feelings to me, and I couldn’t resist, I agreed to be her boyfriend if I lost the election."

He didn’t want to deceive Kris, and by the same reasoning, he didn’t want to deceive Veronica either; he opened up saying he wanted them both, a scoundrel in the most straightforward manner, an honest scoundrel.

Rounding up, an honest person.

Veronica snorted at him and flashed her fist, warning Wayne not to tarnish the reputation of her first love.

Rather than saying Sister Kris confessed, it was more believable that Wili did through the Owl, she believed.

Wayne curled his lip, thinking that with Veronica and Kris like this, they deserved to be tricked by him three times in one night.

And then deceive him six times in return.

The two bickered in the car, much like a pair of tsundere siblings, the brother only knew how to bully his sister, and when the sister couldn’t win with words, she would resort to hitting.

As the convoy left the city area and passed through a particular spatial node, an endless darkness descended upon them.

The driver gradually stopped the sedan, as if it were only natural, as if it was meant to be.

"We’re under attack!"

Veronica narrowed her eyes and glanced at the driver, lost in thought, and let the external brain make a quick decision.

"It’s not an attack, this is the handiwork of a Legendary Mage, it must be one of our own."

Wayne looked out the window calmly, having experienced a similar situation once before, in Lundan, where Plank had secretly ambushed him, using the same method to steal the ancient silver coin from his hand.

I’d bet twenty Xianling that it’s Plank’s ’old friend.’

Whoever it was, judging by Plank’s smug demeanor, seemed to be a high-ranking official from the headquarters.

Click!

The car door beside Veronica opened, and a person draped in a black robe gestured for the siblings to scoot over, wanting to add a seat.

Wayne scooped Veronica into his arms and shielded her behind him, sitting down himself in the center of the back seat.

The mysterious person took their seat with ease, and the motorcade slowly moved through the darkness.

Wayne shrugged his nose, smelling a faint fragrance, and glanced at the mysterious person’s figure out of the corner of his eye. When seated, the voluminous black robe revealed a shapely figure, naturally fitted with airbags for safety.

Legendary Mage...

Plank’s mistress?

Wayne thought to himself and saw the mysterious person raise their hands and slowly lift the hood that obscured their face.

Very beautiful hands they were, the back smooth and fair, seemingly covered with a thin layer of luster, with slender and elegant fingers, neatly trimmed nails, every detail as if meticulously crafted, gentle and demure yet elegant and noble.

Confirmed, it’s an older lady, a young girl’s hands don’t have this charm.

With the hood down, the woman’s face came into view, skin fair and beautiful with exquisite facial features, light gold wavy hair, and calm, pool-like eyes that gave Wayne and Veronica a faint smile.

Like the warm sun of spring, the darkness was suddenly pierced, and Wayne’s heart, in spite of himself, picked up its pace; he had to admit she was as beautiful as Philomena.

I can, sister!

"Gulp!"

Oh no, this is embarrassing...

Wait, I didn’t swallow any saliva, did I?

Wayne let out a light "Huh" and turned to see Veronica’s infatuated look.

You little minx, when will you ever stop!

Under Brother Wayne’s righteous glare full of criticism, Sister Veronica shamefully lowered her head. It’s not that she wanted to, it was just that the woman was so beautiful she accidentally lost face for the Randao Family without realizing it.

Besides, she’s going to turn into such a big sister in a few years.

Gentle laughter reached their ears, and the siblings’ hearts raced uncontrollably.

"Veronica, Wayne, no need to be strangers, we’re all family here."

The woman spoke slowly: "Saina Kaslana, I’m Hefei’s teacher, you can just call me Saina."

The teacher’s teacher...

Ah, so you’re not Plank’s mistress?
