Chapter 543: 234
Juliet’s enchanting appearance materialized, her inherent charm causing Carol’s breathing to become rapid, as Edward swallowed hard.
"Legendary Mage, your scent is quite nice..."
With a coquettish laugh, Juliet’s slender tongue extended, circling around her voluptuous chest, and then she turned to look at Edward, "Scion of Divine Blood, you’re not bad either."
Upon hearing this, Edward’s breathing quickened, his thoughts turning to nights of relentless intimacy, as he bowed slightly in respect.
Celeste, however, had a ghastly pale face, his demeanor showing that during his time alone with the Spider Demoness, he had unfortunately lost something.
With a boom, darkness descended.
The Elemental Devil leapt down from the high ramparts of the castle, standing behind the Spider Demoness as if a summoned spectral guardian.
In the skies, the Inverted Pentagram formation came to a halt, casting the shadow of an enormous, bloated spider abdomen, from which white strands spewed forth, weaving a web that transformed the castle into a nest.
From Juliet’s spider abdomen, countless tiny black spiders seeped out, the size of fists, which upon touching the ground, grew rapidly, climbing the spider silk with remarkable speed.
A horde, hundreds and thousands of them.
"My dear gentlemen, these are the children born of your bloodline. As their mother, I do hope you will take a liking to your own offspring." Juliet’s loud laughter, coupled with her shocking declaration, made both Celeste and Edward shudder in unison.
Unlike Celeste, who lost only blood, Edward’s loss was astronomical, the item lost far more precious.
Knowing it was not the right time, Carol still couldn’t restrain the burning anger.
"Oh my, who would have thought that even our Prince has children now."
At the top, Juno stood beside Mona, covering her mouth and speaking in an eerily mocking tone, "How nice. Taking these little spiders to the Magic Department, the Minister would be delighted."
Mona: "..."
With so many eyes upon her, you, as a Knight of the Princess, shouldn’t mock so freely, even if the Prince is a political adversary.
Although it’s really quite amusing!
Mona curiously looked at Juno, whose usual knightly demeanor was replaced by unusual chattiness.
And she appeared fearless and composed, as though she had a trump card up her sleeve, confidently assured against the Devil.
Facing Mona’s puzzled gaze, Juno smiled slightly, "My trump card is your boss; he’s in the castle, right?"
My trump card is you!
"Ah, this..."
Mona’s eyelid twitched as she said in a conflicted tone, "If that’s your trump card, I must say you’re thinking too much. My boss didn’t come; he doesn’t want to get involved in the Royal Family’s internal strife."
"Ah?!"
Juno was momentarily taken aback, her eyes flickering, perhaps a bit panicked.
In the castle plaza, Carol glared fiercely at Edward and said bitterly, "There really are plenty of surprises tonight. Whatever plans you have, spill them out quick."
"And there’s Elizabeth; she surely won’t miss the chance to take advantage of my embarrassment," said Edward dryly.
The first ace up my sleeve is Mother; the second is Sister.
Just then, the Skeleton heads behind them sprang up from the ground, the sinister aura startling both men into leaping away in unison.
Where did this skeleton come from, and why are there Undead here?
"Hehehehe————"
Wayne stroked his bald head, his jaws parting, "This play is quite interesting, the Royal Family certainly hasn’t let me down, tell the Queen she needs to raise the price tonight."
Celeste looked at Wayne in surprise, not understanding where this skeletal frame got such audacity.
Moreover, according to the Princess’s speculation, the heir to the Lando Family was supposed to have a role, so why hadn’t he appeared yet?
"You are..."
Juliet looked uncertain, she felt a chilling Death Essence from the skeleton, but if it were a Death Knight, the presence was lacking by far.
Wayne cackled strangely, waving his hand to pull the Shadowmare from the void, a gray vortex forming Armor and a cape, an even denser miasma of death enveloped his body.
"As you see, Death Knight!"
Juliet’s eyes narrowed, her pale arm lifting, the Elemental Devil behind her mimicking the motion, dark energy surging forth.
Wayne, holding a Knight’s Sword, its silvery edge cleaving through the dark tides, instantly arrived in front of Juliet, deathly tendrils writhing chaotically, turning the surrounding spider threads and spiders into sludge.
Wherever Death passed, the spark of life was utterly extinguished, leaving only eternal silence behind.
Celeste, shocked and discolored, once again opened the Life Force Field, shifting the battlefield into her own world.
Listened to the Death Knight’s words, it seemed a cooperative relationship had been formed with the Queen, yet the Queen had never mentioned this to anyone.
"The Death Knight and the Queen..."
Juno stood there blankly, speechless, not knowing what to think.
Mona looked up at the spider’s underbelly as her master took action.
Her eyes turned to gold, white wings spread from her back, her hands wielding the Holy Light turned to Holy Flame, incinerating the spider’s den.
The power of the Angel’s Golden Rule!
Juno witnessed this scene, and although she didn’t see the boss, the secretary’s abilities were proof enough that the information was true.
At least a portion of it was.
Without Wayne’s permission, Mona couldn’t use the Heaven Holy Spear, the efficiency of the Holy Flame greatly reduced, but luckily the Holy Flame continuously surged with new strengths, ensuring a constant standard of lethality.
The guests had been through too much, first the Spider Demoness, followed by white-robed Mage, then the Undead Knight and Angels made their appearance one after another, their worldviews numbed from reshaping.
They could be numb, but Edward couldn’t, urging his fiancée to quickly destroy the evidence and salvage the precarious image.
"I’ll deal with you when we get back, brace yourself for a whipping!"
Carol, infuriated, pulled out a flute and gently played it to her lips, the mind-disturbing melody spreading, weaving ordinary memories for the guests.
The guests forgot the mysterious events, only remembering enjoying a grand play tonight, where the Prince’s fiancée beat up a mistress, and the party ended before it had even begun.
Edward looked enviously at Mona; he knew it was his sister’s power, but envy was useless. Their paths were different, and this power was never meant to be his.
"If only I had chosen the path of Holy Light back then..."
Edward thought back to that fateful night, when he was still a child, faced with the choice between the Life Alliance’s tricolor blocks and the Holy Light belief’s white block, snatching the three blocks before his sister could.
What bad intentions could a child harbor, thinking only that the more toys, the better.
