Chapter 469: Chapter 210: The Highest Command

Villa.

A team of maids, carrying tools and trash bags, chatted and laughed as they left through the front door.

Wayne peered out; the tools were ladders, scissors, and unused decorative items, while the trash bags were clean, free of blood-stained work clothes, gloves, and certainly no decapitated heads with eyes wide open.

"Good, I hope it stays that way later."

Wayne shook his head. The maids of the Randao Family were, to put it mildly, aesthetically challenging, perhaps because Old Login was aware of his poor reputation and extremely picky about the appearance of his maids.

Of course, it was more likely that the maids were personally selected by the mistress, Hefei.

Old Login’s dominance in the family was evident from his balcony.

Wayne meandered toward the villa’s entrance, taking five minutes to cover a few dozen meters, occasionally stopping to check the growth of the lawn.

Simulate, analyze, practice ad infinitum.

He had developed emergency plans for various contingencies, expanding from PlanA to Planψ3.1.0 and patching up along the way.

After all that, he felt there wasn’t much left to fear.

"Damn bastard, I’ll get you sooner or later!" Wayne grew angrier as he thought more, cursing as he pushed open the door, suggesting this matter was far from concluded.

Everyone had seen it; it was Austin who started it.

In the first-floor living room, the birthday party setup was complete. The walls were adorned with balloons, ribbons, and bouquets spelling out "Happy Birthday", with neatly stacked gift boxes on both sides.

In the center of the venue, a three-tier cake was covered with colorful icing and fruits.

Veronica and Vicky stood beside the cake, with Veronica scolding Vicky for some reason, as usual and without any issue.

The number of attendees was small, as Austin had said, just a few female friends from the private movie screening.

Two heads with short golden hair belonged to Hefei and Megan, two with long golden hair to Veronica and Vicky, and the interspersed platinum and brown were Chrissy and Mona.

That was it.

Wayne looked around; the infamous banquet killer, Philomena, was not present.

The High Priest truly had it rough!

Wayne felt sorry for Philomena for three seconds. Everyone was there except for her, clearly not having received an invitation.

Despite unlocking the most achievements, her little boyfriend was celebrating his birthday, and she couldn’t even snag a spot at the table.

Rounded up, she’s still a decent person!

While feeling sorry for Philomena, Wayne gave Philark a thumbs-up. If it weren’t for the butler’s strategic planning and early intervention of a major problem, he would have been in great danger today.

As for the current birthday party, one couldn’t blame Philark. He had done well. Who could have predicted that Austin, that old schemer, would step in?

Anyway, Wayne never expected Austin to throw him a birthday party.

"Wayne, come over here."

Hefei beckoned, opened a treasure box, and placed the crown of the party host on the student’s head.

A real crown, not one made of paper.

It was woven from gold threads and wires, with vibrant, meticulously cut gemstones set in the front. Each stone had been polished with care.

Upon wearing it, Wayne’s demeanor changed completely, and he instantly looked more distinguished.

"Wayne, Vicky snuck a piece of your cake and ate your name off it," Veronica raised her hand, explaining why she was scolding Vicky.

Wayne wasn’t surprised at all. As Chrissy was about to say something, he cut her off, "It’s my birthday today, so I’ll speak first."

"I hadn’t planned on celebrating my birthday. I wanted to give a surprise to someone here, who I won’t name, as she knows who she is."

"..."x6

Who, me? x4

"But someone impersonated me to invite everyone here for a birthday gathering, spoiling her surprise."

"Still, I’m very grateful for all of you coming. Just now, standing at the door, my heart was racing, my eyes getting red..."

Wayne adjusted the crown on his head, "Now that you’re all here, as the king for tonight, I have absolute authority. Mona, there’s charcoal for drawing in my study, bring it here."

Mona nodded and as she went upstairs, telepathic transmission told her that the surprise prepared for her was now a no-go.

I’ll definitely make it up to you another day!

Having neutralized a minor hazard, Wayne got the charcoal and looked at the six sheets of paper in front of him, his hand caressing his chin.

What to draw?

After pondering for a while, Wayne drew six little mustaches on Chrissy’s face. When he first met her, she was the black cat, Monica, an unforgettable impression, and he still held a grudge over not getting the little bell.

Vicky got a little sun, Veronica a mushroom, and Mona a crucifix.

Just when he thought it was over, Hefei approached, smiling, and pointed to her smooth forehead, asking the king to stamp it.

Teacher, please don’t make trouble.

Thinking this, Wayne briskly sketched an abstract drawing, covering Hefei’s entire face in black.

It was a simplified portrait of Austin.

Since Austin was entirely black, the sketch was also a broad black face.

Wayne helplessly said, "Teacher, Austin just gave me a gift, very surprising, and I couldn’t refuse. It was his doing, so if there’s any offense, blame him, not the messenger."

Hefei, with a face covered in black, silently moved aside to wipe her face with a handkerchief. Judging by her silence, one could only imagine someone’s going to end up in the woods tonight.

First, reclaim a bit of interest, then another day, we’ll settle our score!

Wayne thought vindictively, his hand holding the charcoal as he turned to Megan, "Megan, do you want the king’s stamp?"

Megan shook her head emotionlessly; she didn’t want to get involved in the private grudges of two worthless generations. If possible, she requested the king’s permission to leave immediately.
