Chapter 291: Chapter 150 Can’t Angels Be Wicked?_3
"Lundan is so big, where do I even start looking?"
Wayne muttered a complaint, then caught himself and realized he had gotten ahead of himself. Even if he did find it, who was to say who the hunter was? What if the other party was fishing for him with the law?
Wayne weighed the pros and cons. Hiding in the shadows, as long as he didn’t touch the artifact, the other party definitely wouldn’t be able to find him. For the moment, he maintained the upper hand.
This ’upper hand’ felt awfully passive!
The Book of Greed was hungry, urging Wayne to break the seal just one more time, just for ten seconds, ten seconds would do. Even if not for his own sake, he should consider those homeless folks from his hometown.
Old friends in need, troublemakers when not!
Wayne rolled his eyes and resisted the temptation.
However, The Book of Greed was a part of him, and if he could resist temptation, it wouldn’t be The Book of Greed, but The Book of Generosity instead.
To ask for his generosity was worse than killing him outright.
Wayne briefly resisted the temptation, all too aware that it wasn’t the voice of The Book of Greed but his own craving for the Obelisk. He desired the Four Elements and the storms of thunder, and enduring this for even a moment was to his limit; sooner or later he would reach out his demonic claws toward it.
"If I can’t open the Sealing Book in Lundan, then it will have to be in Jianhe County... no, in Eclipse Town."
While driving, Wayne was formulating his strategy. First, he had to conceal his presence, then read the book to gain knowledge and confirm his plan. He would visit Jianhe County to check in every week, opening the Sealing Book once every seven days.
Although still somewhat risky, he had made up his mind, and no one could dissuade him.
Not using the artifact would mean he’d taken it for nothing!
Wayne could wait, but the members of the Death Church who had offered up the artifact couldn’t; they would die with regret if they found out. Even if it was to make them rest in peace with a smile, he had to use it.
"There’s also the artifact in Lundan. If I could get a hold of that, I could openly break the seal of the Sealing Book."

As a sovereign nation, Windsor’s intelligence service had been the butt of many jokes and a source of countless classic tales of blunder.
But to be honest, Windsor wasn’t so bad, at least it seemed so when compared with its peers.
Located one hundred kilometers from the capital of Lundan, Silent Ridge experienced an earthquake out of the blue, followed by the collapse of a mountain, which immediately attracted the attention of various agencies.
Ignoring the purely academic scholars, Windsor’s Magic Department sent people to the site right after the earthquake happened.
Which was the afternoon of the next day, uh, Wayne had already reached home by then, savoring the red tea prepared by his butler, Philark.
In the meantime, he had finished checking in, and even helped a literary young girl borrow ancient books from the cathedral, incidentally boosting her affinity for him.
The investigation concluded with no results.
The leader of the investigation team was a Silver Mage, whose abilities were limited and who discovered nothing other than the corpses of the members of the Death Church.
These corpses were the handiwork of Bruce. He submitted an investigation report detailing the causes and consequences – mayor, Death Church, artifact...
Bruce hadn’t ventured deep into the mines and his report was extremely limited in its knowledge of why the Death Church sought the artifact and what the artifact was.
The Magic Department approached Wayne for an interview at the first opportunity.
He was intercepted.
Austin got in the way, taking the matter upon himself, promising a thorough investigation and assuring those above that a satisfactory response would come in due course.
As everyone knows, many things tend to simply fade away while waiting.
Another informed power was the Heavenly Father’s Court. Mona had spilled everything – Wayne was Bruce, and Bruce was an Angel.
Archbishop Gunther, upon hearing this joyous news, sat up from his sickbed in delight, asking where the Angel was. In high spirits, he recovered on the spot.
Compared to this groundbreaking news, the artifact seemed utterly trivial to him; let the Liberty Mage Alliance and the Tri-Goddess Alliance worry about it if it had nothing to do with the Devil.
In case Mona was mistaken, Gunther urgently wanted to meet with Wayne to confirm if he was indeed one of the seven Angels that had descended.
This was critically important, the top priority for the whole Holy See. Because of this matter, even the Pope himself was nearly tearing his hair out.
"Archbishop, he refuses to acknowledge his identity," Mona said, visibly frustrated.
"No matter, whether he acknowledges it or not isn’t important, as long as we confirm who he is."
Gunther looked at the Crucifix: "Invite him to the cathedral; I have a way to confirm his identity."
