Chapter 239: Chapter 133: Wayne’s Hell Avatar
"Thousand-Eyed Demon..."
Among the three Liberty Mages, the last one, Aub, slowly began, "Put away your useless temptations, our faith may be free, but it is not without a bottom line; we will not trade with devils for the pursuit of illusory power."
"You’re right, we Liberty Mages do have principles."
Plank responded loudly, and Borne nodded expressionlessly.
The three Legendary Mages all had the archaic appearance of white-bearded old men. Among them, Aub had the whitest and longest beard, dressed in a Star Constellation Robe, topped with a pointed magic hat, looking quite ancient.
The stereotypical image of an old Mage was fully embodied in him.
By contrast, Plank, dressed in a white lab coat, and Borne, in a suit, looked much more modern in appearance.
They looked more like researchers than Mages.
Unified in their response and resolute in their stance, they declared they would not trade with the devil, though their true intentions remained unknown.
After all, their faith was cheap; it had a clear price tag. As long as the price was right, they were willing to sell their faith to any deity, not excluding an Evil God.
The devil belonged to the Evil God’s faction.
The Thousand-Eyed Demon let out a hearty laugh, seeing their wavering stance, and declared unabashedly, "The Holy See is very well prepared this time, and it is highly likely that I will be driven back to Hell. Now we may not be able to trade, but that does not mean we cannot in the future. I look forward to receiving an invitation from you three."
"Devil, you talk too much!"
Sensing his colleagues’ falter, Aub waved his hand and grasped his magic wand, as a surge of the Fire Element converged above the ancient city, coalescing into a form.
A miniature sun with a ten-meter diameter emitted intense heat, its powerful energy waves warping space and instantly breaking the blockade between the ancient city and the outside world.
"Legendary Mages indeed possess remarkable abilities; you’re qualified to enter the Void Cosmos and gain a wealth of knowledge, yet you cannot find a deity willing to accept your faith. You’re doomed to fall into the void until madness takes you."
The Thousand-Eyed Demon flickered within the scorching heat of the fierce sun, shedding desiccated insect corpses without any concern, continuing to smile, "Your free faith has granted you unprecedented power, and yet due to your impure beliefs, you have nowhere to belong—poor creatures. Can you find a Divine Nation to take you in before your life runs out?"
These words stung the three Mages. Aub looked even more displeased, "Don’t give him the chance to spout nonsense. Devil’s words are not to be trusted. Let’s join forces and destroy him."
Borne and Plank did not hesitate, each unfolding their unique Life Force Field belonging to Legendary Mages, manipulating thoughts in the void to pull down a shard of projection, constructing a unique three-dimensional space.
The Dark Domain flashed by as Borne and Plank each took with them a clone of the Thousand-Eyed Demon.
Aub’s eye twitched, fully aware of his colleagues’ ulterior motives but found no reason to blame them.
Don’t ask; the answer is they were protecting the real world while also blocking space to prevent the devil’s thoughts from escaping.
"Now it’s just the two of us, what do you think, would you like to have a chat alone?" The Thousand-Eyed Demon’s laughter was brazen. He had said before that free faith was cheap, and the Liberty Mages could not refuse him.
"Save your breath, I’m not like them!"
Aub took a deep breath, his murky old eyes twinkling with a cold light as he dominantly spread his Life Force Field across the field, propping up the scorching sun amidst the Dark Domain.
The corresponding moonlight, cold and serene, and a forest of towering trees sprouted, weaving together a lifelike world.
The sun, the moon, nature—these were the three Divine Powers in which Aub’s faith was most concentrated.
Unlike the all-embracing Plank, Aub, though a Liberty Mage, did not believe in everything. He focused on combining the three entities of the sun, the moon, and nature into Life Magic, supplemented by the Holy Light Magic of the Heavenly Father’s Court.
If deities were to be divided into factions of righteousness and evil, the faiths chosen by Aub all fell on the side of righteousness. Even darkness and death, while not placed in the Evil God’s faction due to their poor reputation, were regarded as worthless by him. He had studied but not delved into them deeply.
As the Life Force Field expanded, Aub’s aged body transformed, his Star Constellation Robe shimmering brightly, and with his elongated, slender ears, he regressed to his youth, his face now bearing the distinctive stripes of an Elf.
"Such a strong aura of life, no wonder you rejected my temptation, you can live much longer..."
The jesting expression vanished from the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s face, "You should join the Life Alliance. The three Goddesses would willingly take you in. I am curious, what is your purpose for insisting on staying in the human world?"
"This is my country!"
Aub snorted coldly, magic power storm erupting, the constellations speckled on his robe scattered, manifesting an endless river of stars: "You shouldn’t have used your clones to fight us. After destroying you, I will annihilate your other two clones as well, leaving you no chance to tempt them."
"Hahaha, you’d better hurry then; they’re having a great conversation over there!"
"..."
Aub’s eyes brimmed with murderous intent as he raised his magic wand, which transformed into a bow and arrow, and he attacked with full force.

Boom!
Artley, holding a holy spear, swept through the air, and as he did, dust and gravel flew wildly, like a huge sandstorm arising out of nowhere, slicing a six-armed Magical Being in two.
The Armor glowed with Holy Light, and he flashed in front of a monster. The holy spear shot straight out, pierced through the monster’s chest, then tossed it high into the air.
Holy Flame erupted!
The roaring white flames obliterated everything, leaving only a wisp of blue smoke to mark where the monster had been.
