Chapter 214: Chapter 123 Bruce Wayne_2

"I don’t have the habit of sharing..."

Wayne patted his bottom and left, that cocky demeanor as if he was second only to the sky irritated a bunch of underlings, who circled around Jeliff, taunting him with veiled sarcasm.

Understandably, everyone was eating poor food, while only Wayne was carrying a chunk of fat meat on his back, feeding himself well without letting others dip their fingers for a taste.

What’s wrong with borrowing it? I’ll give it back after using it, I promise it’ll be as good as new.

Jeliff listened to the complaints around him, his expression unchanging as cold and deep as water, causing the others to scatter like birds and beasts not daring to grumble any further at the sight of their leader’s demeanor.

Jeliff snorted coldly and stepped through the spatial gate to leave.

Today, a powerful newcomer was recruited, a user of Blood Magic, one of his master’s allies; it seemed necessary to report this.

Meanwhile, Wayne chose a barely clean rundown house, set Mona down, and sat cross-legged as if he were meditating.

Around him, several shadowy figures approached silently, cloaked and face-covered, casting greedy glances through the broken walls.

Wayne slowly opened his eyes, his magic power radiating from his body, and the brief burst of energy caused the figures to hesitate and not dare to advance.

Assessing the strength of both sides, three figures suppressed their greed and left; the remaining two hesitated for a moment and exchanged glances, deciding to test the waters.

This kid’s just been through a big fight and took a direct hit from a Holy Light Spell; he’s only posturing now. If we go at him together, there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Try and you’ll die!

Eight Blood Crystal Flying Daggers shot out, a rich bloody light flashed and disappeared as they flew through the broken walls, striking the two black-cloaked figures.

Their momentum didn’t stop as they pierced through the bodies and nailed them to a boulder behind, cracking it with spiderweb fissures.

The ferocious bloody scent spread, causing people in the distance to frown. The rule of the base was no infighting, someone broke the rule, and there would be a good show to watch when Jeliff got back.

Wayne waved his hand and killed the two black-cloaks, ensuring no one else came to look for trouble, finally bringing him some peace.

He frowned as he looked at Mona next to him. Given her capabilities, those Naturalism Church officials who only sit in offices were no match for her. Wherever she went, she’d be a sharp blade. So why was she undercover at the Detective Agency?

Is there something worth paying attention to about me?

Wayne questioned himself, for there were too many things about him that were noteworthy. Instead of making random speculations, it would be better to pry open the other party’s mouth.

But not now, there were too many eyes around, not a good time for feeding mushrooms.

Half an hour later, Jeliff returned through the teleportation gate, bowing and following behind a figure, keeping a very low profile.

Thousand-Eyed Demon.

Seeing this figure, the Black Sorcerers all knelt on one knee, lowering their heads without even daring to breathe loudly.

The Thousand-Eyed Demon did not reveal his true identity — the Black Sorcerers had no right to know. He didn’t even need to act himself, simply letting Jeliff demonstrate powerful strength was enough to subdue these minions.

Thankful for the Magic Realm’s warrant, the Black Sorcerers were desperate for a protector, even a temporary one, even just empty promises, as long as they could catch their breath.

When Jeliff arrived at Wayne’s room and saw the two corpses in the bloodbath, he frowned tightly.

He had just laid out the rules, yet Wayne killed two people, clearly a slap in the face.

This kid cannot stay!

The Thousand-Eyed Demon gazed at Wayne and said ominously, "The fact you can use Blood Magic indicates your master has high hopes for you, or perhaps, you have another mission."

What that mission was, even the Thousand-Eyed Demon could guess without having to think hard.

The Devil’s schemes were manifold, with endless ploys, but in the end, it was all about making himself come to the human world.

The Thousand-Eyed Demon was quite resentful. He was already planning to open the Hell Gate to facilitate the arrival of his allies from Hell, yet his allies had a separate plan for coming, clearly displaying a lack of trust in him.

Indeed, these were Devils, lacking even the most basic trust, always having backup plans beyond the shared ones.

And wasn’t he the same?

The human world, big as it was, had no room for too many Devils.

Noticing his ally’s secret arrangements, the Thousand-Eyed Demon was not angry; rather, he was pleased.

Another unstable factor eliminated!

"I don’t know what you’re talking about?"

Wayne looked coldly at the Thousand-Eyed Demon, overwhelmed by the strong aura displayed, his eyes roiling with a red bloody rage, clutching his Crystal Longsword tightly in one hand.

"Poor guy, your own master has deceived you. Let me guess, what did he promise you in return? Extraordinary powers or an exalted status..."

The Thousand-Eyed Demon chuckled coldly, "Devils are best at beguiling hearts. You’re just a tool to be used and discarded, he won’t give you anything."

Wayne didn’t speak. This Thousand-Eyed Demon in front of him didn’t exert much pressure on him, nowhere near as powerful as the one in the Grand Cemetery the other night.

It must be an avatar!

"Instead of serving the Devil and risking your life for nothing, why not serve me? I can give you everything you want."

As he spoke, red lights began to shine from the shadow beneath the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s black hood, and shadows cast down as thousands of eyes watched Wayne from all directions.

Wayne’s hand gripping the longsword trembled violently, and as he subconsciously prepared to counterattack, a strange energy poured into his body. The Book of Greed writhed, telling Wayne to wait a bit longer.

The president is expelling people; the big shots are coming!

Wayne’s eyes showed a hint of confusion; the redness in his gaze dissipated, replaced by a fresh infusion of Hell’s Magic Power.

This power stemmed from the Thousand-Eyed Demon, refined and purified through The Book of Greed, and newly injected into Wayne’s body.

After a brief moment of confusion, Wayne blinked, knelt on one knee, and said with loyalty, "My master, thank you for granting me new life. Your faithful servant offers absolute loyalty here, hoping to be of use to you."
