Chapter 1190: Chapter 409: Bring a Marker Over, I Have a Big Use for It_2

He raised the long legs hanging around his neck and pushed them away, grabbed both ankles, jumped into the air, then accelerated downward fiercely, smashing Cote, held above his head, toward the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

After about ten back and forth exchanges, the long legs were limp and lacked the previous tension.

Nice legs!

After all, she is the Holy Maiden of the Sun Church, and the due respect should be given. Wayne didn’t run off at the mouth this time. He dropped the long legs and gestured with a hook of his finger towards Guinevere, who was watching the fight from afar.

"What are you standing around for? It’s your turn to take over."

Guinevere was expressionless and did not respond at all.

Wayne was about to rush up and punch her when he felt an amazing heatwave and a rising momentum from behind. He swiftly turned around and crossed his arms in front of his chest.

Cote, bathed in the Phoenix Flames, resurrected at full health, her eyes shooting out golden light, struck down hard on Wayne’s chest with a heavy fist, pressing down on the arms that were blocking with a low roar.

A boom sounded, and space distorted, creating visible arcs pulling apart.

Wayne’s hands slammed against his chest, blasted back by an overwhelming force, disbelief on his face as he flew through the air.

Since his promotion to Silver Mage, he had always dominated his opponents with strength; this was the first time he found himself overpowered, and he couldn’t help but feel a touch of nostalgia.

A black afterimage tore through the sea of fire, falling like a cannonball in the distance.

With a thunderous roar, a fire Giant Dragon surged up, a hundred-meter-wide column of fire shooting into the sky before slowly fading away.

Wayne stepped out of the flames, raised his hand to wipe off the blood from the corner of his mouth. His arms were aching slightly, but his thoughts shifted and he was no longer hindered.

He fixed his eyes on the distant Cote. Behind the phantom image of the Phoenix spreading its wings and uttering a silent cry, there was a luminous silhouette, dazzlingly golden.

That silhouette was woven from countless strands of gold, its features indiscernible, and its long golden hair flowed like a waterfall, each strand radiating brilliant light.

The figure stood tall and graceful, with a golden halo crowning its head, containing endless energy, its majesty too strong to look at directly.

"Divine Arts?"

Wayne had seen many Divine Arts; at heart, they all relied on devout faith to borrow power from the Divine Nation, and in most cases, that power did not come from the deities themselves.

The Divine Arts Cote used were different. She truly borrowed the power of the Sun Goddess.

By the way, Anastasia still had this ability even after transforming into Wayne’s appearance. Despite losing her purity and even switching her faith, the Dark Goddess still allowed her to borrow Divine Power.

"No wonder she dares to come to Paris, a haven for Devils, not afraid of being locked up in a little dark room by a Devil, waiting her turn..."

Wayne narrowed his eyes, facing the Sun Goddess’s Divine Power. He had to weigh his actions carefully, lest the Goddess be watching in secret like another tricky Idinis.

The power of the Pale Knight temporarily sealed!

Wayne took a deep breath, golden light flashing in his eyes, his body bursting with the surging warmth of sunlight. Stepping on the dented air, he turned into a gold streak of lightning and re-entered the fray of the Phoenix phantom.

Wayne was incredibly fast, his fingers clawing straight towards Cote’s neck, only noticing her clear, cold eyes, which faintly carried a divine essence, right before reaching her.

Is this really the Holy Maiden?

Wayne was somewhat baffled, hesitated for a moment, and slowed down.

Cote teleported away and reappeared behind and above Wayne, her straight legs wrapped in firelight like a red whip or an axe cleaving down.

Without looking back, Wayne raised his arm to block and his body staggered, thinking to himself that the force was excessively strong.

The two figures met, the sea of fire boiled, white shockwaves expanded, and with a loud explosion, they were pushed far away.

After two more flashes and exchanges, fiery ripples spread across the red sea, and the tide roared with thunderous noise.

Cote, in astonishment, withdrew her fist, surprised that the Devil opposite could react, not believing in defeat. She vanished and reformed, launching ferocious attacks again and again.

Continuous teleportations interweaved, all ending in failure.

"Impossible," Cote muttered, realizing the Devil had abundant combat experience, seemingly not the first time facing similar attacks.

There was no time to think during battle. She ducked down, flashed in front of Wayne’s chest, pressed down on his shoulders with both hands, while using the pressure to climb upward.

Bending her knees, she drove them upward, aiming at Wayne’s chin.

Clearly, she held a grudge against that Rising Dragon Punch just now.

Wayne supported his chin with one hand, offsetting some of the force, and at the sudden rise of his body, his other hand reached out, grasping Cote’s neck tightly.

Cote, unwilling to show weakness, clutched Wayne’s neck with both hands.

The fight suddenly took a different turn, the two intertwined and rolling around in the red waves of fire.

From a distance, it looked like a red sea of fire was the bed, with the Phoenix phantom as their quilt; it almost seemed somewhat intimate.

The silhouette of the Sun Goddess silently watched over the two, tumbling below.

Two minutes later, Cote lost the wrestling match and was held down by Wayne, her eyes bursting with golden light.

The Sun Goddess’s silhouette raised a hand, conjuring a spear of golden light. Its tip glistened like metallic lustre, aiming directly at the two entangled figures and stabbing down.

Cote vanished in a burst of light, and Wayne dodged under the blanket like an old lady avoiding trouble.

Out of breath, Cote stood in the distance, speaking firmly, "What a fearsome Devil, possessing such high Fire Elemental Affinity and such great strength. Tell me, who exactly are you?"

Wayne didn’t respond, his thoughts flashed swiftly, and he tore off his coat and white shirt with a quick movement, "You’re not bad either. I really wouldn’t be able to handle you without taking off my clothes."
