Chapter 1100: Chapter 386: The Weather is Dry; Beware of Fire Sources (Part 3)
Divine Oracle High Priest Wayne has sacrificed too much for The Church.
That evening, after the welcoming ceremony was over, Acting Pope Saina met with the Dark Saintess in the Archbishop’s Great Hall for a secret strategic discussion.
Wisdom comes from many, and specially summoning Wayne to join was a deliberate choice.
Vizi stood guard with a dark expression, erecting a Soundproof Barrier, vigilantly eyeing the three little ones opposite, warning them not to approach, and especially not to eavesdrop on the secret communications between the two Churches.

The three little ones, clad in the white robes of Secretary Officers - Odilia, Regina, and Nelson - were instantly cowed by the stern, impassive gaze of their ice queen elder sister.
"What to do, should we go in?" Nelson voiced his worried thoughts.
"Forget it, her eyes... they’re like they could eat a person..."
"But we’re Secretary Officers, it’s our duty to record the meeting contents."
Is there a possibility that there’s nothing worth recording inside, that writing it down would amount to creating contraband? x2
Odilia and Regina remained silent, while Nelson, being new, was unclear on the relationship between the Naturalist Knight and the Dark Saintess; he only heard rumors that Pope Saina and Holy Maiden Anastasia had a terrible relationship, and who knows, they might be fighting inside already.
They certainly were fighting, but in a way slightly different from Nelson’s imagination.
Odilia and Regina felt too dirty thinking about it and stayed silent as gold, unwilling to tell Nelson the truth, to save her from the corruption of a nasty power struggle.
Odilia glanced at Vizi from the corner of her eye; a beautiful elder sister indeed, especially the dominating aura and the cold indifference that keeps others at bay, fitting perfectly with Wayne’s aesthetic for choosing his wings.
Regina, the naive and sweet type, wouldn’t do; even if left unattended, Wayne would continue to ignore her.
According to the delegation list, Vizi was the bodyguard accompanying the Saint, responsible for Holy Maiden Anastasia’s daily needs and personal safety. Odilia knew it was wrong to think this way, but still felt that Vizi and Wayne were getting too close.
Odilia couldn’t understand why her boss boyfriend, who seemed so ordinary, was so attractive to women?
Inside the room.
Wayne sat in the chair behind the desk, Saina was on Wayne’s lap, she draped herself over Wayne’s neck, shared the color number of the day, and then provocatively looked at her good sister.
"Her Holiness, do you remember what I told you back on Icebound Continent?"
"Pope Your Holiness, as a leader of The Church, your conduct has brought disgrace to the Naturalism Church!"
"Compared to some Church’s Holy Maiden, I’m already very reserved, after all, I don’t need to maintain purity."
Saina laughed shakily, freed from all constraints by Wayne, allowing her to freely mock anyone, even Wayne’s mother and Moonlight.
Of course, freedom ≠ irresponsibility; she must pay the price for her actions.
Confronted with her archenemy’s mockery, Anastasia didn’t get angry. She had a good mindset and smiled, "Thank you so much for introducing me to a perfect belief. Let me guess, you must regret not being the only one now, don’t you?"
That little bitch is still so detestable!
The two women locked eyes, sparks flying in the still air; unwittingly, Wayne had become a spectator to the drama.
Wayne had long wanted to put the two of them together, but never found the opportunity. Today he finally got his wish, and couldn’t help feeling a little excited.
Fight, let them fight!
Wayne knew they wouldn’t really fight, but that didn’t stop him from fantasizing. Getting too close would lead to harm to the innocent bystanders and soon Saina caught him red-handed.
The female Pope never concealed her thirst for faith and, since her most concerned rival was present, rolled with incredible vigor.
Anastasia muttered "bitch face" under her breath, and upon seeing Wayne beckoning, she walked over reluctantly.

After the real business was discussed, it was time for the proper matters.
"I’ve already arranged things on the Dark Church’s side. Anna represents the Dark Church, and you are the Pope of the Naturalism Church. You both hold substantial positions in your respective Churches. After today’s small meeting, we can announce it publicly tomorrow," Wayne said with arms around both, smiling like a winner in life.
In his embrace, the two great beauties faced each other coldly. The brief camaraderie of being allies was not enough to thaw their past grievances.
So-called grievances, their enmity was actually very simple.
Both outstanding and excellent Mages, often compared side by side, they held respect for each other but couldn’t show it due to their respective stances, which over time escalated into an open yet covert rivalry.
Usually, it was Saina openly contending, while Anastasia covertly competed.
Wayne grinned. Saina ruled the Naturalism Church with absolute violence and power; Anastasia gained the support of Followers through her virtue. With different styles, their statuses within their own Churches were consistent.
Wayne, as their faith, became the behind-the-scenes Boss of both the Naturalism and Dark Churches through them.
There’s truth in the saying, "Those with the Dao will have ample help; those without it will find help scarce!"
As Wayne spoke, the two women offered no objections, and in a few discussions, they had drafted the outline for a non-aggression pact.
No haggling; they both represented Wayne’s interests. Wayne wanted the situation to stabilize as quickly as possible, and so they reached an agreement at the fastest pace.
The small meeting concluded, and tomorrow, at the large assembly, they’d sign in front of everyone and announce far and wide, communicating the current, close cooperative relationship between the two Churches.
"Tomorrow is too soon; let some rumors spread first and see how the others react," Wayne interjected.
Saina frowned, "You mean, there are still unstable elements within the Naturalism Church, and this is an opportunity to eradicate them completely?"
"No, with your capabilities, those insectoids can’t stir up any big waves."
