Chapter 1076: Chapter 380 Divine Realm_3

This assignment isn’t bad; I’ll copy it down first. Maybe it’ll come in handy later.

In every corner of the newborn world, obelisks stood tall, their spires piercing the sky, with thunder striking down and tempests swirling around. They disintegrated the information-filled obelisks, transforming them into information and the Four Elements to fill the blank spaces.

Wayne nodded as he watched; it was a crude and simple operation. It could be likened to a company owner secretly transferring assets before bankruptcy, avoiding the debt-collecting laborers and starting anew elsewhere to regain glory.

Curiously, he turned to Idinis behind him: "Who defeated the Storm and Thunder Lord, and why didn’t they kill him completely?"

"It was you who defeated him!"

Idinis blinked, "Have you forgotten? To keep your promise, you erased the existence of the Storms and Thunder God with your thoughts, closing your eyes and then opening them to find him in his current state."

"Tsks, you know too much."

Wayne hummed lightly. He would eventually find a use for this mouth of hers.

Judging by the size of the Divine Realm, the Storm and Thunder Lord must have already awakened.

When a nation is in peril, monsters emerge; when the world is in chaos, demons arise.

Why awaken neither early nor late, but precisely when a world war looms? Without a doubt, there must be a conspiracy, Wayne thought.

He was anxiously concerned that the world war might turn into an apocalypse. And also...

His gaze swept across, taking all the obelisks into view, remembering clearly that the obelisks were scattered all over the world and not concentrated in one place.

The slumbering Storm and Thunder Lord had no power to gather them, let alone revive and spread doctrines. The sheer number of these couldn’t be a one-day effort. It was clear someone had awoken this deceased deity.

Wayne narrowed his eyes. The never-before-seen Grand Sage of the Dark Church—if his guess was correct, it had to be him.

What was his purpose?

Not willing to join the Dark Divine Kingdom and worship at Idinis’ feet, nor to defect to Hell, or to set foot in the perilous Void, he had chosen the old path of the Storm and Thunder?

It wasn’t impossible, but...

By awakening the Storm and Thunder Lord, wouldn’t the Grand Sage lose his own chances?

Could it be a miscalculation?

There were a few points Wayne couldn’t figure out, such as Vizi’s death. The former Dark Knight was more than capable of making Dreyne uncomfortable, undoubtedly powerful, and the Grand Sage could in no way be her opponent.

And the scene of the crime indicated an instant kill!

Of course, it was also possible the Storm and Thunder Lord had kept a trick up his sleeve, found the Grand Sage after awakening, and the latter was merely a puppet.

Vizi was killed by the Storm and Thunder Lord.

Too many doubts to jump to conclusions, Wayne looked at Idinis, wanting to make an attempt to question her, but guessing she might have amnesia, he decided not to speak.

Instead, he said, "There’s something wrong with the Dark Church. Are you using me to straighten things out?"

Anastasia was slightly startled, then looked at their former leader. As the Holy Maiden, despite having been adrift for a long time, she had great trust in the Church’s hierarchy and couldn’t imagine any issues of faith.

Unless collectively cursed, forced to change their faith.

"How could there be any problems with the Church? They are all devout and excellent citizens, and I’m very satisfied with them," Idinis said with a smile.

Wayne didn’t get an answer and said nothing more.

Meanwhile, Sarosia, with her Immortal Treasures unveiled, Storm Wings blasting forth, was swiftly surging through the skies of the Divine Realm, snatching information from the obelisks, while wielding the Spear of Supreme Praise to summon Thunder and wreak havoc in the Divine Realm.

"Set————"

Sarosia called out her arch-enemy’s name, the sound tumbling and howling, reaching the entire world.

The effect was mediocre. The Storm and Thunder God Set kept his door closed, unsure whether he was afraid or simply napping, he remained unresponsive.

After plundering for a while, Sarosia couldn’t continue to draw on the Information Laws, her anger conjuring a thunderous storm to cause destruction, fanning the flames on a physical level.

"Set!"

"Stop hiding and being silent, I know you’re here! If you have the guts to steal the Laws, then have the guts to open the door!"

With her arch-enemy not coming out, Sarosia’s rage continued as Wayne waited to witness a rematch after thousands of years, deciding to help her awaken the feigning Storm and Thunder Lord.

He closed his eyes and released his hold on The Book of Greed. Hundreds of intangible tentacles radiated out from him in all directions, their spread vast enough to eclipse the sky, seemingly ready to devour the whole world like a gluttonous beast.

Wayne was not a Demigod, but he had the appetite of one.

Wherever the invisible tentacles passed, the obelisks crumbled as if weathered, golden sand congealing into dragons, pressing in from all sides towards Wayne.

Almost simultaneously, the oceans of the Four Elements stopped their world-filling motion.

!

Fire Elements turned their heads and roared towards Wayne, leading the charge while calling their siblings to join.

Fire Element: Hurry, follow me, we’ve found our organization!

Water Element: Is this okay? He doesn’t seem nice.

Fire Element: Keep talking and I’ll burn you to death!

The Four Elements converged the golden sands, painting a majestic, multicolored canvas high in the sky, rushing into Wayne’s body through the pathways of the tentacles.

Idinis slightly narrowed her eyes; this was it, this was Wayne’s biggest secret.

Information could be plundered, but it had to be based on understanding; otherwise, indigestion might lead to a backlash.

Wayne’s case was the opposite; eat first, understand later, and even with indigestion, there would be no nausea or retching.

This was preposterous!

The Dark Goddess had seen all sorts of scenes, and even if she had speculated before, she was still somewhat surprised to witness this scene she had never seen.

Her eyes turned pitch black, staring at Wayne’s silhouette, her gaze piercing through layers of space, in the dark and heavy Cosmos, she saw a colossal Magic Eye.
