Chapter 1012: Chapter 364 Newcomer Starts Work_3

He glanced at Sarosia, "Request denied, no dueling allowed. This is the rule I have set."

Wayne’s action was to protect Sarosia. She had slept for too long, and having had her Laws information taken away, she was now just an average Demigod, certainly not a match for Idinis.

Not being able to talk her way out and getting beaten up if she resorted to fists, just the thought of it was unbearable.

"Boss, although I’m new here, you’re too biased toward her." Sarosia didn’t know Wayne meant well, she only knew that Idinis could say whatever she wanted, and she wanted that kind of status too.

Forget about Anastasia’s status, it was all about promotions through procedure; she couldn’t achieve that.

"So, you know you’re the new one, wanting a position without having contributed anything. The Sky Goddess really has some divine authority!"

Idinis raised her right hand, a red lip splitting open in her palm as she continued, "There’s a difference in closeness among the followers. You have neither merit nor contribution, why should you be compared to me? I make Wayne happy every night after all!"

Idinis was self-satisfied, her beautiful eyes filled with a teasing laugh. Wayne knew without seeing that she was starting her manipulations again.

Pretty good, leaders like this kind of schemer, an indispensable villain in the team.

Wayne did not stop her, and Sarosia was instantly wilted. She, who lagged in sleep, really didn’t have the right to compare with one who slept around, and at this moment, she no longer wanted any family status; Wayne not forcing her to catch up on sleep was enough.

This was her bottom line!

In the living room, Idinis stood tall, like a cunning villain by the leader’s side; the image of the Dark Goddess was unbearable to behold, choking the Holy Maiden who thought of changing sides.

Followers don’t understand a goddess; it’s all in their heads. A real goddess might be no better than a normal person.

Sarosia, having been repeatedly humiliated, urgently needed a chance to prove her worth. She took a deep breath and said, "Boss, where is the Storm and Thunder Church these days? I haven’t seen any trace of them on my way."

"What do you want to do, revenge before you’ve even recovered?"

"No, I am your follower, I would not start a faith war without your permission. I just want to gather some intelligence to give you an absolute advantage before the war starts," Sarosia loyally said.

Life isn’t easy, and even the clumsy Sky Goddess had learned the art of speech.

"What faith war? You underestimate me."

Wayne closed his eyes, "I once promised you, as long as you offer loyalty to me, I would give you a world without the Storms and Thunder God, remember?"

"I remember."

Sarosia nodded vigorously, willing to give up everything and live for that world.

"Now I give you this world..."

Wayne murmured, under Sarosia’s puzzled gaze, and after a moment he opened his eyes, exhaling deeply, "It’s done, this world no longer has the Storms and Thunder God."

"???"

Question marks floated over Sarosia’s forehead; she kind of understood something, but the terrifying energy behind this possibility was far beyond her imagination, making it feel quite unreal.

"Not only is there no Storms and Thunder God, there’s also no Storm and Thunder Church, no sacred texts, even the Storm and Thunder Lord has been erased from history. No one in the world remembers his name or glory anymore," Wayne said solemnly.

"You must be exhausted, using such immense mental power to alter reality," Idinis pulled out a black handkerchief from her bosom, took two steps forward, and wiped the nonexistent sweat from Wayne’s face.

Anastasia blinked and, nonetheless, joined the warm and caring crowd.

"It’s okay, not as tiring as you think, I just need a little rest," Wayne, embraced from both sides, smiled like a Divine King.

"To think such a thing happened, I didn’t feel a thing..."

Sarosia looked at Wayne in shock, unable to imagine the power it took to erase a deity with thought alone and change time and everyone’s memories.

Suddenly feeling redundant, she also understood why the Dark Goddess used beauty to ascend.

Besides beauty, worthless.

Thinking this, Sarosia felt she wasn’t too bad herself; Wayne had fulfilled his promise, and her revenge was achieved. A heavy stone set down, she could now look for new goals.

Momentarily, Sarosia saw herself and Idinis vying jealously; she shook her head repeatedly, dispelling this horrible picture, admonishing herself not to fall.

She must still have value, as long as she was strong enough, faith would need her!

Besides, she couldn’t be too trusting, in case Wayne was just using her for fun. Regardless, the Storm and Thunder Lord was the unique villain in her mind, not to be erased by a mere thought.

It wouldn’t hurt to go out and gather some information to confirm his disappearance, then she could believe.

"Sarosia, do you not trust me?"

"Ah, no," Sarosia shook her head repeatedly.

"I can’t really handle you; I guess words alone aren’t enough. I’ll give you some proof."

Wayne slapped his butt, stood the two at his sides up, and with a wave of his hand said to Sarosia, "Come to the basement, I have a great treasure to show you."

Idinis let out a snickering laugh, making Sarosia very cautious, fearing she might lose her purity from this visit.

"What are you waiting for, come on."

"..."

Sarosia slowly moved her feet, inching forward, and when she reached the basement door, she closed her eyes to memorialize her last bit of defiance.
