Chapter 1010: Chapter 364: The Newcomer Starts Work

Darkness.

Moonlight, like a silver sword, pierced through the dense darkness, illuminating the solitary figure.

The Sky Goddess Sarosia, wrapped in a Black Robe, walked alone through the foggy streets of Lundan. She had slept for far too long, so disconnected from this era that everything seemed incredibly novel to her.

A passing car on the street was enough to make her pause and watch for a good while.

"This world has changed so fast, I don’t recognize it anymore..."

Sarosia muttered to herself as the cold wind blew, instinctively wrapping her robe tighter around her.

The cold wasn’t in her body, but in her heart.

It was too hard for her!

In the Heavenly Palace, she and Little Octopus had exchanged empty glances for ages, and she hadn’t seen the Void Lord Bruce leap out of the bushes. Proud as she was, only then did she realize the other party didn’t take her seriously at all.

Sarosia angrily flared up in a fit of rage, her complex thoughts brimming with bitterness.

Thinking of her withering away in her long slumber, of the Storm and Thunder Lord attaining divinity, and of being depicted as a filthy old witch in the other’s chronicles, she weakly extended a hand, letting the foam devour her thoughts.

The Void Lord had trampled on her dignity, not a good thing indeed, but the Storm and Thunder Lord must die; she was prepared to fall from grace if that meant getting her revenge.

With a heart set on vengeance, Sarosia successfully transformed into a Void Lifeform, passing through the layered seals of foam, her heart growing even more embittered.

Looking at the means of the Void Lord, it was clear she had no choice. Maybe he didn’t care about her, but he had never planned to let her go.

The pride of the Goddess was reduced to nothing. Sarosia stepped into the Mortal World, following the sensation of faith all the way to Lundan.

She saw a world strange and brand new, strolling about until she lost her way.

Sarosia could have connected directly with faith using her thoughts, but she didn’t. What little pride she had left wouldn’t allow it; she wanted the Void Lord to come looking for her.

This was her last bit of defiance!

From an onlooker’s perspective, she was a technical worker who appeared at night, pausing and moving in search of clients, her head covered to work cross-district to prevent local thugs from catching her.

Of course, she could also be a novice.

The shock of personal cars suddenly becoming taxis to pick up passengers was great, hiding her face for fear of being recognized by acquaintances.

Thinking this, passersby felt sad for her, cursing the economic downturn that pushed a housewife out of the door late at night with the Devil named Money waving bills.

Drunk husband, sick child, confrontational landlord, insincere school principal...

And she, about to break apart.

No, I must help her!xN

People reached into their pockets, knowing they couldn’t fully help all at once, but offering a temporary safe harbor could still spark love at first sight.

Just as several self-righteous individuals prepared to approach and ask if a group purchase could get a discount, a black luxury car stopped in front of Sarosia.

As the car door opened, Sarosia let out a sound of surprise and dived into the vehicle.

The car lights receded into the distance, leaving behind frustrated onlookers.

Damn it, this wasn’t some amateur taxi job, it was a Noble’s shameful play.

...

The black car drove towards the estate of the Dark Saintess.

The speed was slow, the Dark Goddess Idinis with Vizi’s face sat in the passenger seat, leaning sideways on the chair, cocking her head to gaze playfully at Sarosia in the back with a smile filled with the joy of successful training.

Wayne took a left at the upcoming intersection, glanced at the mirror, and said slowly, "Sarosia, we meet again. To see your master has come to fetch you, and yet you haven’t thanked me, that’s not how a loyal retainer behaves."

On the rear seat, Sarosia hung her head low, her hood covering her face as if ashamed to be seen.

Upon hearing his words, her body stiffened, stammering without knowing how to speak.

"Just call me boss," said Wayne, "From now on you’ll work for me, sell your life for me. I’ll lead you through Evolution, it’s mutually beneficial." He offered her pie in the sky and chicken soup, his Skills growing ever more adept.

"Wayne, you’re too polite to your employee," Idinis taunted, "Believe me, you can’t be a good leader being kind and soft-hearted. She’ll get insolent, gradually disobey, and might even turn the tables and dominate you one day. At that time, it’ll be hard to tell who’s the master."

Because he used the face of the former Dark Knight Vizi, Sarosia found it familiar but didn’t recognize this old friend at first glance. Hearing what she said, Sarosia simply lowered her head in silence.

"In your opinion, then, what should I do?" asked Wayne, raising an eyebrow.

"You should posture and show your authority, use tough methods to curb her spirit, let her see the reality of the situation, to avoid wishful thinking in the future."

Idinis chuckled lightly, "Look at her arrogant demeanor, clearly she hasn’t adjusted her attitude. Make her offer up her purity, and once she tastes hardship, she’ll learn to behave."

Sarosia looked up, glaring at Idinis. Noticing that Wayne, who was driving, remained silent as if considering the feasibility, she hurriedly said, "Boss, don’t listen to her nonsense. I’ve already chosen your path of Evolution. I can’t and won’t betray you."

"That may be true, but it doesn’t exclude the possibility you have thoughts of betrayal. Loyalty that is not absolute is absolutely not loyalty. You still need training," Idinis said, her eyes lighting up as if she saw a doll to dress up to her whim.

The Dean’s personality was simply too dire. Even though Idinis was just a portion of her consciousness and most of that memory had been deleted, the original personality was still inherited.

Sarosia glared at Idinis, furiously cursing the wretch in her heart, once again emphasizing her loyalty. Having embarked on this irreversible path, she had no intentions of turning back.
