My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!
Chapter 236: Reaching Master Rank!

Chapter 236: Reaching Master Rank!

Grey got his second Diamond Grimoire in his arsenal. Now he is much stronger and could display more combat power.

However, he still lacked a core problem, and that was his own incompetence.

As a high-tier disciple, it was very hard for him to utilize the Diamond Grimoire. He could write four to five times in Platinum Grimoires; however, even writing a single sentence in the Diamond Grimoire could completely drain his spiritual energy.

So the problem he was facing was:

Master Rank!

"The problem is, how do I reach it?" Grey’s pupils flickered.

To reach this rank, it wasn’t about spiritual energy only. Another vital thing was to have spiritual energy control.

"Do you know how to reach it, Lilith?"

A bright red light flashed as Lilith came out of his body, hovering in front of him.

"Your spiritual htz has already reached around 2,200, but it doesn’t even matter. If you had enough control of your spiritual energy, then you could have reached the Master Rank at just 2,001 spiritual htz."

"Is that so?" Grey was stunned when he heard this. "So what should I do?"

"Well, if you went the normal route, then you would have to write more and more in your Grimoire. The more you write, the better you will learn the way to masterfully manipulate your spiritual energy. However, you are lacking in spiritual energy control because you have not been a book tamer for long."

"Is there no other way besides grinding?" Grey frowned.

"There might be," Lilith said in a graceful voice, "but it could be too difficult for you, no, impossible for anyone but might be possible for you."

"Tell me," he said, his curiosity instantly piqued.

"Hmm, I’m not very skilled at it. Empty Void might be better suited."

"Empty Void?" Grey called out.

"Yeah, now let me rest." Lilith chided him gently before re-entering his body in a flash of bright red light.

A moment later, the Diamond Empty Void Grimoire emerged, oozing with darkness:

"Human, why have you summoned me?"

"I want to ask," Grey said in an earnest voice, "how do you control your spiritual energy? I need a method."

"Control spiritual energy? That’s easy," Empty Void replied. "Just spin it, circulate the energy throughout your body while continuously scribbling in the Grimoire. This is the fastest way to master spiritual energy. But be warned, you’ll have to endure the excruciating pain of spiritual exhaustion."

"Oh, just that?" Grey raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised. It sounded almost too simple. If it was only pain, then he could deal with it easily, his Hive Mind skill would let him offload the sensation to his other clones.

Unlike Grey, they weren’t weaklings. For them, that kind of pain would feel like nothing more than a bee sting.

"The pain will only intensify the more you exhaust your spiritual energy," the Grimoire warned. "Also, the energy must be circulated in a precise pattern while you endure it."

Grey grinned as he heard this.

"You’re underestimating me. Like I said, I have a cheat."

Under Empty Void’s guidance, Grey sat down cross-legged and began circulating his spiritual energy. He formed two looping flows that met at a single point, shaped almost like the symbol of infinity.

The spiritual energy coursed through every part of him, reaching every corner, every fiber of his being.

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead as he meditated, his body trembling under the growing mental strain.

Controlling spiritual energy wasn’t easy, especially since Grey was still unfamiliar with it.

Until now, he had simply poured spiritual energy into his quill and written, wasting huge amounts without thought. He had never tried to regulate how much energy he used, focusing only on the quill’s tip.

After all, controlling the flow would slow down his writing and in battle, everything happened in the blink of an eye.

If you’re even a moment too late, you’re as good as dead.

But now, as he began to feel the energy circulate within him, despite the difficulty, his effort was slowly but surely bearing fruit.

After several hours, Grey had achieved precise control over his spiritual energy. His mastery had improved considerably, but with that progress, further advancement became even more difficult.

"Human, prepare for the second phase."

"Okay." Grey slowly opened his eyes, still maintaining the flow of spiritual energy within him. He raised his quill pen. A red light flared from his body, and Lilith emerged, her pages flipping rapidly.

Without a word, Grey began to write on her page.

"One soul, many paths."

A terrifying pressure crashed down as a dragon’s roar echoed through the air. In that same instant, one-third of his spiritual energy vanished, Drayken appeared, then vanished just as swiftly.

Grey summoned Drayken again, and two-thirds of his spiritual energy vanished in an instant. Then, for the third time, he called upon Drayken.

The last of his spiritual energy drained away, leaving him completely empty.

At that moment, Grey couldn’t even describe the pain. Outwardly, he seemed fine. But inside, it felt as if his very soul was being torn apart.

Then, just as suddenly, the agony faded, and a profound clarity returned to his mind.

He focused.

New spiritual energy began to stir within him, gentle at first, then steadily stronger. He guided it through his body with precision, and as he did, his control over it sharpened.

The progress was astonishing. What others might spend decades to achieve, Grey was accomplishing in just a few breaths.

Time blurred. A full day passed in this state.

Grey snapped open his eyes and clenched his fist, murmuring in his heart:

"I’ve finally reached the Master Rank in book taming."

With a thought, he sent spiritual energy flowing through his body. The efficiency of each strand he imbued into his quill had increased fivefold.

In other words, even with the same total amount of spiritual energy, he could now summon Drayken fifteen times instead of just three.
