Chapter 128: Astonishing Cleaning Achievement?

Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Astonishing Cleaning Achievement?

In the midst of his thoughts, Wang Zijia pulled out more than twenty Blood Crystals.

Originally, Wang Zijia only planned to collect a bit of flesh sprouts.

But an unexpected situation occurred. As Wang Zijia’s Blood Crystals were activated, the flesh sprouts emerged.

Up in the sky, two rune lock chains suddenly increased in spiritual light, moving all over the sky as if they had come to life.

"Clang clang clang..."

"Roar..."

The symphony of chains, along with a roar, startled everyone.

Subsequently, under Wang Zijia’s dumbfounded gaze, a pillar of heavenly green light blasted from his body into the sky, continually surging into the two chains. Despite having only slain a few demons, his assessment for exorcism merits was surprisingly high!

Wang Zijia sensed - whether accurately or not - that the two chains seemed quite pleased, as if they were fond of him. It seemed as if they could not wait to descend and run off with him!

Wang Zijia was dumbstruck and the surrounding disciples also revealed expressions of surprise as they looked at the pillar of heavenly green light.

"How many demons would one have to kill to gain such merits?" At this moment, this was the thought surfacing in the minds of the countless disciples.

Wang Zijia quickly snapped out of his shock and roughly understood why.

From the continuous emergence of devils from the Mysterious Domain, it was clear that killing the demons was merely a short-term solution. The pollution remained; in a few years, more fully grown demons would reappear.

But Wang Zijia... he completely consumed the demons without leaving any remains. This was thorough cleansing. How could his merit be small?

Not to mention that he had also been relentlessly collecting bodies in the past few days!

After a while, the green light inside Wang Zijia’s body was finally exhausted, and the two chains kept moving, showing signs of wanting to descend.

At this point, the thin flesh sprout in front of Wang Zijia suddenly broke off and fell into his hand.

This change caused the squirming chains to stiffen. Immediately afterward, they seemed to get angry and lashed out at the demon dragon giant snake’s forehead where a single horn-like lump of flesh protruded.

"Clang! Pop..."

With a sound of metallic clanging followed by a burst of flesh, a faint bloody smell permeated the air.

The flesh on its forehead exploded, and a thumb-thick piece of flesh, shimmering with golden red light, wriggled towards Wang Zijia in a wrap of spiritual light.

"It’s a Dragon Yuan Blood Spirit!"

"It’s a Dragon Yuan, a Class A lower-level spiritual item of the Flood Dragon Transformation Path!"

"How can there be a Class A spiritual item in the outer area?"

"Damn it, wasn’t it said there were only three places where Class A spiritual items matured this time!"

"..."

The disciples of the Three Sects around them expressed various emotions. For the other two sects aside from Wanyu Sect, their expressions kept changing, and their moods fluctuated.

With a slight frown, Wang Zijia reached out and grabbed the golden meat strip shimmering with spiritual light.

’Spell: Seal Spirit!’

As mana circulated, Wang Zijia completely sealed it and put it together with the previous strand of flesh sprout, into a jade box.

He raised his head with a calm look and saw the surrounding disciples with various expressions.

"Senior Brother, my name is Ge Huang from the Dao Law Court. I am a sword repairer and I would like to join you in a team." A disciple from the Wanyu Sect immediately came forward with respect.

Seeing this, other Wanyu Sect disciples around were moved.

Although they did not know Wang Zijia, it was not difficult to see that someone like Wang Zijia would definitely be hard to get close to in the Sect on an average day.

However, the current situation seemed to present a chance to forge a positive connection.

Wang Zijia declined coldly, waving off the offer. "No need," he said, "I’m used to being laid-back and don’t prefer to team up with others."

Without waiting for others to react, he lifted himself lightly and departed.

He was not just interested in obtaining a single spiritual object, if possible, he planned to visit all of the immature resource points. He wasn’t hoping to get any spiritual objects for himself, he only needed something he could use to activate an exchange for an incomplete spiritual medicine lead.

Like the flesh sprouts here!

Everyone watched as Wang Zijia left, a moment of silence followed.

A moment later, a few disciples from the Flying Immortal Sect and Daqian quietly followed him.

The Wanyu Sect students looked at each other, one from a group turned to the lead and asked, "Senior Brother Gu, should we follow him too?"

Gu Feichi contemplated for a moment and said, "Let’s go and check it out; if we can help, we should help. If we can’t...we can’t let our sect’s spiritual object fall into others’ hands."

The statement silenced all disciples.

"Senior Brother Gu, do you recognize this man? Judging from his talent, he shouldn’t be a nobody. This level of talent suggests a major pulse secret at the very least, doesn’t it?" One person interrupted, inquiring and also suggesting.

"I don’t know him either. Among the major pulses, only a few elites choose to cultivate the physique and bloodline, none of them resemble him. Of course, it’s also possible that he is well versed in disguise and concealment techniques."

Gu Feichi looked at him and said, "What does that have to do with us? If he doesn’t want it, we can still go and take a look. We are not intending to fight amongst ourselves."

Some remained quiet and stealthily left after hearing this.

Some thought about it and decided to follow along while others hesitated for a moment but eventually joined them, thinking it wouldn’t hurt to lend a helping hand if the opportunity arose.

······

Wang Zijia retraced his steps back quickly. A few leaps and bounds took him up the canyon and without looking back, he disappeared into the woods.

A few people immediately followed him, hot on his trail.

Wang Zijia looked back, a cold light flashed in his eyes.

With no hesitation and aided by the blessings of the Five Ghosts, his speed soared, leaving behind only an afterimage as he darted swiftly through the woods.

Many of the pursuers got gradually left far behind, leaving only four stubbornly persisting.

After a while, a robust young man dressed like a Daqian soldier suddenly surged with blood qi. As his mana swirled, a pair of bloody wings appeared on his back.

Then he turned into a streak of blood-colored streaming light and shot forward, aiming directly at Wang Zijia who was disappearing into the distance.

The remaining three, one Daqian scholar and two Flying Immortal Daoists, gritted their teeth and sped up upon seeing this.

Wang Zijia, sensing the pursuers quickly catching up, a colder light glinted in his eyes.

He took out a finely crafted half-piece talisman.

It was a half-piece of a fine blood talisman handed to him by his wife before he left: Blood Escape, also known as an inferior second-grade talisman. Wang Zijia was given one once before when he was on a mission.

He didn’t use it then and returned it, but now it was returned to him again.

Wang Zijia took out the talisman, opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of essence blood. The incomplete talisman exploded into a cloud of blood light that enveloped Wang Zijia.

Wang Zijia turned into a streak of blood-colored streaming light and sped away.

"Blood Escape?"

"Hmm?"

The pursuers were startled at first, then with a grin of excitement, they picked up speed in pursuit.
