As soon as she heard it, Wen Ran quickly threw the banana peel into the trash bin beside the sofa and trotted to the door.

Hiding the item behind her back, she slowly approached Fu Chenlie in the center of the living room.

Wen Ran stood beside Fu Chenlie, seeing that he was still busy with work, she ventured, "Honey, is your work urgent?"

"It’s urgent."

"...Can I take two minutes of your time?"

Fu Chenlie was staring at the document, but whatever words were on it didn’t actually register in his mind. Even so, his reply was delivered in a cold, imperious tone, "What for?"

It wasn’t New Year’s, a holiday, nor his birthday, so why was she suddenly giving him a gift?

Fu Chenlie flicked his hand to the side, easily evading her, "Once given, it’s mine. Forget about taking it back."
