This scene was observed by Orchid who was not far away, tending to the wounded. The great traveler nudged Lumina’s shoulder and said:

"Look! A role-playing player just like you. It’s rare to see one this restless nowadays."

"But I’m really just playing around. That guy is real role-play."

Lumina replied with a grimace:

"This Tepar guy has just started playing the game and he has already become a ’player’s urban legend’. It’s been said that he doesn’t take on missions and just mimics the movements of the guards in the camp, learns local etiquette, and even complains about the camp food with the locals.

He even has become friends with several regular, hard-drinking veterans.

But it seems like Professor Malcolm likes his modesty and eagerness to learn...

This is pure blood role-play, a true gaming freak.

Ah, there are more and more ’talents’ among the players. I really don’t know where the development team found these guys. Honestly, this game is a blessing and an absolute sanctuary for role-players.

What do you think, should I advertise the game in my role-playing group? What’s the point of them running campaigns all day? It would be better for them to have a real adventure in a magic different world."

"Go for it."

While expertly treating the wounded soldier in front of her and bandaging the wound, Orchid stood up amidst the latter’s profuse thank yous to Lumina, saying:

"This game can’t last if it only relies on the invitation system. The player’s social circle is always limited, and in the later stages, it is highly likely that the number of testers will not be able to keep up with the progress of the plot. If you think role-players will enjoy this game, just let them come. The more players, the better for the storyline.

But don’t recruit those chaos seekers...

Given the rigour manifested by this game, mishaps are bound to happen, and they could drag you down."

---

"Bang!"

Ice shards danced and froze around. More than a dozen ghouls fell simultaneously, the freezing effect of the Blade of Cold Jaws was more than these ordinary undead could withstand and courtesy of the tomb sword guard’s professional strengths, after their demise, a resentful spirit was summoned by Murphy to attack the front.

But this efficiency still left Murphy unsatisfied.

He glanced around the chaotic battlefield where the tunnel leading to the "old area" of the sewer second layer was completely jammed with ghouls and resentful spirits.

He and his mini-players were forced to slowly clear the undead onslaught, just like they were dealing with an oncoming flood. At this point, Murphy could finally confirm that Cui Si’s assumptions about this sudden ghoul outbreak were correct.

This was no accident!

The ghouls’ fervent attacks on all lifeforms that approached the underground surpassed the traditional undead hostility towards the living. There was definitely someone behind all this, the coward hidden in the dark, clearly unwilling to let Murphy and his warriors move forward and uncover his secret.

"Trying to claim dominion in my territory? You’ve got lofty aspirations, hidden plotter."

The Vampire Lord was getting fed up with the continuous waves of ghouls and resentful spirits. Killing these meaningless enemies did not bring him any pleasure from battle.

Thus, he decided to handle matters in a different way.

"Pull back!"

Murphy threw a death grip ahead, lifting an oncoming ghoul into the air, then detonated a psychic lightning, fiercely smashing it into the opponents. The blast cleared a relatively small area for him to cast his spell.

The players of the ’Strong Twelve Vultures’ heeded his warning and immediately retreated. They then saw Sir Murphy sheathe his sword and reach for his star realm beast tamer’s whip, initiating a unique spellcasting movement.

Using George, the Star Realm Wolf who was currently attacking and devouring in front, as the node, the summoner’s advanced technique: Extension Summon, was activated!

George felt Murphy’s will and fiercely detoured a ghoul reaching its position, lifting its head to unleash a long, desolate howl. Following that, star realm light emerged next to George, opening like a mysterious tunnel. Led by George, ferocious Star Realm Wolves stepped out of their world and into the physical one.

These Star Realm Wolves came from the same pack as George, and thus, could be considered his companions.

The principle of ’extension summon’ wasn’t hard to understand. For summoned creatures like the Star Realm wolves, which move in packs, experienced summoners can use biological markers to summon more of the same kind to form a temporary group in the physical world.

Murphy’s spiritual energy pool was rapidly depleting.

By the time the last Star Realm Wolf jumped out of the summoning array, Murphy had in front of him, a pack of 30 Star Realm Wolves, led temporarily by George.

Their existence in the physical world relied on Murphy’s spiritual energy matrix. The time they could exist depended on Murphy’s will, with a maximum limit of two hours. But for the current situation, it was more than enough.

"Snap"

Murphy flexed his wrist and made a cracking sound with the Star Realm Whip in the air. With his blood-color cape fluttering, he pointed his finger forward.

A kill order was issued!

The wolf pack then rushed towards the blocking horde of ghouls, howling as they went.

The best part was, the ghouls killed by the wolf pack still counted as Murphy’s kills. This meant that the Tomb Sword Guard’s death invocation flawlessly complemented the summoner’s skills at this moment, allowing Murphy’s "beast horde" to grow like a rolling snowball.

Murphy’s resentful spirits and the enemy’s spirits scratched and bit each other in the air, letting out sharp shrieks that rapidly dropped the surrounding temperature. With the wolves leading the charge, the ghouls’ barricade was finally torn open, revealing a narrow opening.
