Chapter 1447: 487. The exhibition hall is only open to visitors!_3

Triss’s face flushed as she yelled at Murphy:

"Turn around."

"Tsk."

The Vampire Lord gave a snort of disdain but obediently turned around and handed the black robe he was given back to Triss for her to cover herself.

Seconds later, Triss had changed her clothes, leaving no "contraband" on her, and the red warning beams finally turned into the green light that signified safety.

With a clank.

The sealed heavy metal door receded inward then stretched and rotated to the left, revealing the exhibition area inside.

The polished floor, the vast visitors’ hall, the lighting beams hidden in the dome, the hovering cleaning robots moving on the floor, and the optical road signs and eco-zone introductions projected at the edge of the flower beds—all combined to give Murphy a quite "futuristic" feeling.

The moment he stepped into this visitors’ hall, an invisible pressure covered him—it wasn’t heavy but locked down Murphy’s connection with Spiritual Energy temporarily like shackles.

It was as if an organ of his body had been "cut off", making Murphy feel uncomfortable.

His connection with Spiritual Energy wasn’t deep to begin with, so it was worse for Triss by his side.

As soon as her connection with Spiritual Energy was cut off, the Blood Vulture Duke groaned in pain, clutching her forehead and dropping to the ground, only to be steadied in place by Murphy.

"I told you to wait outside."

He supported the weak-kneed and headache-plagued Triss to sit on a chair nearby, then searched and activated the massage function on the chair’s control panel. While holding Triss’s wrist to calm her, he looked over the rules and regulations of the exhibition area.

Seconds later, he frowned and said:

"Normally, the visitor area doesn’t completely ban the flow of Spiritual Energy, but the malicious theft that happened three days ago made the control core raise the security level. This ’No Spiritual Energy Zone’ is a device that was temporarily activated to prevent another theft."

"So, Tear Flesh really took some of the creator’s treasures from here?"

Triss lay pale on the visitor’s chair, smoothing her breath, and surveyed the unique facilities and environment around her. Rubbing her temples, she said to Murphy:

"Stop worrying about me, you go in and see what Tear Flesh took away! If those Wolf People took away some kind of terrible weapon left by the creator, we need to contact Lord Paryen immediately for handling.

Black Disaster is frightening enough; we can’t let the Wolf People take away more lethal stuff."

"No need to worry, this is just an exhibition area. The creator or Their servants wouldn’t leave weapons that could destroy the world here. You rest here for a while, don’t wander around, and if you really can’t handle it, just leave and wait for me outside."

Murphy checked the control panel of the visitor’s chair, accessed the "Visitor Vitality System", and pulled down the respiratory mask that popped up behind the mechanical chair to cover Triss’s cheeks.

As Triss inhaled some gases, her discomfort resembling motion sickness quickly subsided and she even felt a bit drowsy.

"Take good care of her for me."

Murphy stood up and said to the three Iron Beetles hovering by his side.

He wasn’t sure if the creature could understand him, but after giving the order, one of the Iron Beetles did land next to Triss and hovered there.

The Vampire Lord took one last look at Triss, now in a resting state, and without further hesitation, holding the Omnivox Device, he swiftly followed the path indicated by the road signs projected above the flower beds into the depths of the exhibition hall.

But the moment he stepped in, two fully armed Mechanical Guardians on patrol confronted Murphy.

Their appearance was strikingly similar to the "RoboCops" Murphy remembered from another set of memories!

Their grey and black exteriors were crafted in human shape, wearing V-shaped protective helmets, donned in the uniform of blue security personnel and with capes draped over them.

These two security robots were equipped with all sorts of weapons that Murphy didn’t understand but was sure were pretty awesome, and even had saw-bladed swords hanging at their waists.

Surely, such brutal weapons could dice a Wolf Person to pieces in seconds if activated.

However, these two exhibition hall guardians didn’t block Murphy’s progression; instead, they politely cleared the way and made a "please" gesture.

Governor blinked his eyes and returned a proper smile, then strode forward confidently.

At the end of this corridor was an elevator, and next to it stood something very familiar to Murphy.

"Vending machine?"

The vampire felt an inexplicable rush of emotion as he quickly approached and selected something akin to a soda, but encountered a problem when it came to paying.

The machine spat out a weird-looking QR code that left him dumbfounded, clueless as to what to do next.

Hey!

I don’t have any futuristic gadget on me, how am I supposed to pay?

As he complained, his gaze swept over the QR code, and a familiar scanning sound rang in his mind—payment complete, and a can of "Creator Beverage" popped out of the dispenser.

A concise message appeared on Murphy’s character card:

"Payment Complete! Achievement Points -5! Generous boss, thanks for your patronage."

"F*ck! My achievements!"

Murphy screamed:

"I barely managed to save up those few points, and each achievement is only worth 10 points. I buy one soda from you and you snatch away 5 points?

Are you freaking human?

I want a refund!"

He started punching and kicking the vending machine, even attempting to use the "Sister Gun Repair Method" to make the damned machine refund his achievement points.

But triggering some strange mechanism, as Murphy watched with widened eyes, the thing actually retracted into the wall with clicking noises.

Only a can of black soda was left in front of Murphy.

The Governor sighed, feeling like he had been really foolish, but with no other options, he picked up the soda, preparing to reminisce the "taste of his childhood".

However, just as Murphy picked up the soda, his "professional instincts" kicked in and he performed an Item Identification on it, then...

-Love from [Data Deleted].

]

"Hah, so it wasn’t a system glitch but a ’Starter Gift Package’? You scared the hell out of me, you bastard."

Murphy cursed. As he opened the elevator, he casually pulled the tab on the can in his hand and poured the bubbling soda into his mouth.

He was eager to see what kind of miraculous effect the Creator’s hand-rolled snack would have.

This damn thing!

Don’t let me get stronger and run into you again, huh, if I don’t take your kidneys then, I’ll write the name Murphy backwards!
