Chapter 1391: 469. Snakes! I hate snakes!_3
A large group of Jackal Warlocks were commanding hordes of undead to besiege a legendary monster amidst the ruins of a peculiar structure.
Protected by the muddy waters of the swamp, Ningkinanka kept roaring and unleashing Earthquake Skills, viciously crushing large numbers of undead around it every time. Its peculiarly "ugly-cute" yet majestic appearance and gemstone skin had the inexperienced Vampire Players exclaiming in awe.
"Is this the legendary creature of this world? Damn, its appearance is impressively tough! Look at its face, it somewhat resembles our Eastern divine dragons, with fish whiskers, horse eyes, cloud mane, and a solitary horn. Handsome!"
Ayu gasped in amazement at the thirty-meter-tall neck that towered like a high-rise:
"And this guy is so huge! If thrown directly into the Monster Universe, could it not even have a 1V1 solo with Skull Island’s Beau?"
"If you’re joking, I find it funny; if you’re serious, I would tell you that an adult Skull Island Beau stands 120 meters tall, the true ’Giant Ape God’."
Cheche snorted next to him, emphasizing with a tone unique to monster enthusiasts and Psychic:
"This swamp monster is nothing compared to the beau, at most it could bully the Wind God Tiger and Hell Bull a bit. But considering that this thing is gregarious, if its whole family and relatives launched an attack in one go, then the beau would probably run away with its legs."
"Shit! Is this really the time for you all to discuss this? Is it time for you to play virtual monster chess? Aren’t you supposed to be filming this?"
Gebao extended his hands and knocked on the heads of Ayu and Cheche, urging them to get to work.
However, after seeing the true face of the legendary Ningkinanka, the initial doubts in the Vampire Players’ minds had completely dissipated.
Look at this thing’s destructive power!
Just watching the massive Earthquake Skills it triggers with each strike, as long as it can be lured out from these forbidden lands, the mere Plague Town truly poses no challenge. What is a legendary creature’s prominence? Its plain A moves are AOE attacks!
Yet, soon enough, Meow Meow Shark discovered a problem.
He frowned and said:
"Why do I feel like these Jackal Warlocks are exploiting a BUG?"
"Huh?"
The others looked at him with a gaze that seemed to pity the fool, but Meow Meow Shark furrowed his brow, pointed towards the strange ruins ahead in mid-air, and then traced an invisible line in front of him, saying:
"Look! Every time those Netherworld Knights and Necromancers can’t hold out, under the command of the Jackal Warlocks they swiftly retreat beyond that line. Ningkinanka won’t pursue them either, and if it sporadically charges out, it quickly returns inside that line.
It’s like a weird ’disengagement line’!
Once crossed, they can escape from Ningkinanka’s combat status. Damn! I know what these Jackal Warlocks are up to! These bastards are exploiting this feature to ’bleed’ this giant snake! Literally bleed it!
Look!
There are Jackal Warlocks collecting the giant snake’s blood spilled in the muddy water with containers, and it seems they’re even using this fresh blood as a ritual medium to curse the giant snake, which seems to have slowed down compared to before.
Do these assholes intend to wear this dumb giant snake down alive?
Why can’t it cross that line then?"
Meow Meow Shark was utterly baffled.
The other players also stared at each other cluelessly, and just as they failed to find an answer, suddenly a relaxed and roguish voice rose from behind them, teasingly saying:
"Of course, it’s because that line is one drawn by the creator, designed to prevent the legendary creature from intruding into the human world and causing havoc. Despite the creator’s formidable power having dissipated over the centuries, the ancient legacy still keeps this foolish yet loyal giant snake from daring to cross that line.
It knows, crossing it would mean punishment."
Oh, these are all my guesses, but I think I should be right."
"Shua"
The students all pointed their weapons towards the back simultaneously.
They then saw a guy dressed like a Western cowboy pulling a hood over himself while showing off his "new clothes," saying:
"This set of clothes I took from the creator’s wardrobe looks pretty good, right?
I’m not sure if I wore it right since there wasn’t a guide there. Tch, they say they are divine spirits who created the world, but they are no different from us mortals, chasing after pleasure, luxury, and unique lifestyles.
How does such a creator earn the respect of those who scrape by in this erroneous era?"
"Who are you!"
Ayu looking at this randomly appearing "NPC," his heart sounding alarms, shouted:
"Why are you here? Identify yourself!"
"Ugh, your language is quite interesting, translating it into Transylvanian through the Calculating Pearl... tsk tsk, if it were in the past, I would definitely take some time to learn about your unique culture."
The explorer adjusted his hood, completely undisturbed by the vampires’ pointed weapons.
As they launched an attack, the bizarre metal staff in his hand burst forth with flowing light, wrapping all the vampires in a halo-like glow, and in the next moment, he tossed them all into the Star Realm.
The explorer didn’t care about the question he had just responded to.
Though it was an important answer, the dead don’t spill secrets, unless these weak Black Iron vampires could survive long enough in the perilous Star Realm to be rescued, but how could that happen?
The explorer let out a derisive laugh, summoned his magic carpet, and took one last look at the Jackal Warlock still fighting Ningkinanka, shaking his head and then turned to leave.
It was time for the final handover with Tear Flesh.
That pitiful old thing still thought he could safely return to the Dark Mountain Range with the remains of the King of Bone Biting.
Stupid Jackal Warlock, Lord Source already made preparations near Wasteland Mountain, a corpse of the Golden Tier in their hands could wield too much power.
Hmph, curse this erroneous era!
After the twilight fire burns, all filth imposed by the foolish creator on this world will be cleansed! Everything will revert to orthodoxy, by then, the ancient original sin will be washed away, and the true era of tranquility and prosperity will arrive.
---
"Fuck! I’ve been sent to the Star Realm again, that dog definitely has some backstory, now listen to me, use your Spiritual Energy to protect yourself. Trust me, I’m right! Cheche isn’t here for the first time.
I have plenty of experience getting lost!"
At this moment, in the chaotic and eerie Star Realm, the exiled vampire players were learning how to survive in the Star Realm under Cheche’s guidance, but before they could complete the first step, a terrifying shadow quietly descended upon their heads through the pale purple star clouds.
Cheche felt a chill, turned his head and cursed:
"Fuck! It’s you again, you damned snake! Didn’t you just eat mine last time? Damn, you’re addicted now, right? Chasing me? Watch me hit you with a lightning cannon!"
"Cheche, you’re fucking insane, run! This one is clearly not something we can handle, fuck, this snake’s head is as big as a castle! Damn, my megalophobia is acting up."
