Chapter 1349: 455. Marsh and the Giant Serpent - Additional Update for Brother "Warm Wine Farewell" [21/25]_3
"The King of Bone Biting believes there is some power hidden here that can turn its defeat into victory?"
"Hmm, I cannot give you an answer."
The Psychic waved a hand dismissively, deliberately whetting the appetite as he said:
"Whatever is in the forbidden zone, it is not a power you can covet. It has already caught the attention of the ’Origin’ Lord. Thus, its ultimate fate can only be to be harnessed by us, to serve us, even if just to rectify this misguided era.
Ha, the true master of this place has revealed itself, and your puny army is about to face a real challenge."
Tear Flesh immediately looked ahead.
His own Undead Army had already crushed the obstruction of the marshland creatures, with twenty leading Netherworld Knights leading the charge zombies over an oddly shaped, crumbling wall.
As the first Netherworld Knight crossed that boundary, a violent tremor arose from the area shrouded in mist.
Like an earth-shattering impact, it seemed as if the entire swamp had "come to life" in that instant.
The frozen zones recently crafted by the Jackal Warlocks were torn asunder by the churning mud in an instant, and amidst the unsettling, deep, desolate roars, an enormous creature appeared before Tear Flesh and the other Jackal Warlocks.
Just like the scene where a Brachiosaurus makes an entrance in Jurassic Park, the first thing to catch the eye was a giraffe-like slender neck, towering like a pillar, with just the length of the creature’s neck exceeding thirty meters, making it hard to imagine the full awe-inspiring sight when the behemoth’s body was fully extended.
Part of its body was hidden beneath the mire, rushing towards the Undead crossing the "boundary," and the surrounding swamp mist also began to transform, a strange power starting to build within the rolling fog.
"Prepare for delay!"
Tear Flesh immediately shouted, and seconds later, several Jackal Warlocks combined their efforts to cast a Creature Immobilizing Curse ahead. Amid the pulsating purple light, the rampaging beast’s speed drastically reduced. However, in the next moment, with an even angrier roar, the effect of the Paralysis Curse was instantly torn apart.
Before Tear Flesh could make his next move, the giant creature disappeared as if phasing out of existence, and when it reappeared, it was already at the heart of the Undead Army.
Now, without the dense fog to obscure it, everyone could finally see the outline of the legendary Swamp Giant Snake.
It possessed a rotund body that didn’t quite match its slender neck, and four short, sturdy limbs dug into the mire, allowing it to stand firmly.
But what caught everyone’s attention was the giant snake’s skin.
Like a gemstone adornment, varying its color with the light, it made the beast appear as if it was crafted out of diamond—a rare and exquisite creature.
The head at the top of the neck was quite imposing, with tiger eyes and fish-like whiskers, a unicorn-like horn on its head, and a beautiful, stylish mane adorned the neck, with Stegosaurus-like plates running along the spine ending at a triangular tail like a sledgehammer.
Merely by appearances, it indeed deserved the title of "Legendary Creature."
However, in stark contrast to its refined and majestic face was its ferocity. Upon appearing, its gemstone skin flared up as if accumulating energy for a burst.
The blinding light, with Ningkinanka at the center, radiated outwards covering a nearly three hundred-yard radius, like a miniature sun exploding within the swamp; every creature touched by the light, be they Undead or Jackal Warlocks, was afflicted by an unavoidable confusion and blinding spell.
Under Tear Flesh’s widened gaze, the Swamp Giant beast roared and lifted its body before crashing down heavily. The moment its body touched the ground, a massive spread of Earthquake Skill and war stomps struck those hapless souls who were utterly unable to dodge or defend.
Aside from a few Netherworld Knights still barely standing, the rest of the Undead were buried into the rolling swamp mire by the supercharged blow, with the weaker Undead even crushed on the spot.
Just this combination strike cost Tear Flesh one-tenth of his forces and made him truly understand the weight of "Legendary Creature."
This was simply not an opponent mortals could match!
"Ah, I was hoping you could create a miracle," the enigmatic Psychic on the magic carpet said with a sarcastic tone.
Before Tear Flesh could get angry, the man stood up from the magic carpet, smoothly drawing an oddly-shaped "Magic Wand" from his Psychic package and activating some device to aim and lock onto the rampant giant snake below in the swamp.
Dazzling lights flickered past, and amidst the giant beast’s low roars, the space around it shattered as if the Star Sea converged with sharp teeth, swallowing the writhing snake in one gulp.
"You have been exiled to the Star Realm for only thirty minutes."
The man said in a low voice, leaning on his Magic Wand:
"Ningkinanka can survive in the Star Realm, but we have to find what you’re looking for and leave here before it returns."
"But there could be a nest of giant snakes."
Tear Flesh was somewhat anxious, only to be scoffed at by the Psychic:
"Don’t be afraid. Only it resides within the ecological zone’s Area A. Its mate was personally slain by the vampires’ Lord Paryen a thousand years ago. So as long as you and your Soldiers don’t foolishly wander into other areas, you won’t provoke more ’exhibits.’
Let’s go.
The Creator’s Land is just ahead, and there’s not much time left for you."
