Chapter 1227: 415. Number 2 Warrior · Pantless Demon Doctor

Murphy received Adel’s message and rushed to the "Death Hut" where Necromancer Bella was located, only to find Mrs. Bonis riding a skeletal war horse back and forth through the tunnel below, followed by five elite skeletal servants.

Compared to Necromancer Bella, who reluctantly served Murphy and Crimson Castle but harbored grievances, this Netherworld Knight, brought back from Plague Town by Hog using his methods, seemed to be at ease with her situation.

Upon seeing Murphy emerge from the shadows, she nodded to him from horseback, demonstrating Mrs. Bonis’s elegant demeanor.

Er, though using "elegant" to describe someone deceased always felt a bit odd.

"Good day, Mrs. Bonis, how have you been these past few days at Crimson Castle?"

Murphy landed with fluttering wings and asked softly. The Netherworld Knight responded with a raspy laugh from beneath her shadowy helmet,

"No place could be more perfect. Compared to Plague Town, this place is like a serene paradise for the undead.

Of course, your restless and peculiar warriors occasionally annoy me. They always follow me around, trying to engage me in conversation to initiate some kind of ’quest,’ but it’s not really a problem.

Adel taught me how to interact with them.

Out of a dark amusement befitting the deceased, I asked them to bring me back some elite skeletal servants, thinking it would take a very long time; however, they managed to accomplish this in just three days.

I can sense that these elite skeletons come from Westerburg, so have you and your warriors already planned to enter that dangerous area?"

"That is a plan for the future."

Murphy glanced at the skeletal soldiers accompanying Mrs. Bonis.

Their eye sockets flickered with the blue flames of souls, bound by the power of the Netherworld Knight as the most loyal servants by their master’s side, ready to launch a devastating attack on enemies at Mrs. Bonis’s command.

After a few seconds of silence, Murphy asked,

"According to Hog, even among the Netherworld Knights of Plague Town, you are among the most powerful, and he incurred debt with Lame Claw to bring you back.

So here comes the question, Mrs. Bonis, if I wanted you to teach the lineage of the Netherworld Knight to my warriors..."

"I cannot do that!"

Mrs. Bonis, the half-elf, replied sharply in a manner unique to the undead:

"To become a Netherworld Knight, your warriors would have to die, but they are merely Psychic Projections and do not possess the unique concept of ’life and death.’

I would gladly teach them how to manipulate lower undead.

But teaching them to become Netherworld Knights is impossible for me, perhaps due to my ignorance of Netherworld powers, as you can’t expect me to learn much from the Wolf People.

However..."

The Netherworld Knight paused, then said:

"If you could find a way from the source of all undead powers, I mean, by traveling to the legendary Moon Holy City, perhaps you could harness the power of the Netherworld for yourself."

"Your response coincides exactly with Sir Bella’s to me, seeing such a cool heritage so close yet out of reach is truly regrettable."

Murphy shook his head gracefully and said:

"So, I won’t disturb your stroll any longer.

But if you care to, consider visiting the fight club at midnight; I’ve heard that disturbed deceased harboring unresolved anger can spiral towards self-destruction unless they find a way to vent it properly.

My fight club is currently hosting the regular challenge of the Transylvania Boxing Championship, where you can find targets to vent your deathly anger."

"Thank you for the suggestion."

Mrs. Bonis nodded and said:

"I’ll go. Now please speak with my useless husband, he and his apprentice are waiting for you."

Murphy blinked.

Thinking to himself how interesting the relationship between this undead couple was.

Clearly caring for each other, Bella willing to bow down to vampires to save her, and Mrs. Bonis patrolling this road all day, fearful that Witch Hunters might charge in and purify Bella, the evil yet frail necromancer, yet even after death, they still bickered.

Tsk tsk, this must be the unique way that the undead interact, right?

After bidding farewell to Mrs. Bonis, Murphy quickly arrived at Bella’s cottage, only to see four Coffin Bearers from the "Eight Elites of Demons" walking out arm in arm, discussing the "Undead Faction" gameplay.

Beside them was Honest Dog Egg, limping with a bone staff, guarded by three skeletal servants and a skeletal knight, grandiosely performing teleportation spells, embodying the "master" style.

Dog Egg was not only the first coffin bearer among the players, but his unique "spatial awareness" talent allowed him to master the arcane teleportation techniques faster than other psychics.

Of course, no matter how gifted, he was still a novice, his limit in casting teleportation spells only allowed him to travel from Crimson Castle to Morlan village or a few nearby farms.

But according to Phemys, the guy was making fast progress and might soon become the best teleporter among the players...

"Ah, it’s out of control! Guys, help me!"

Just as Murphy pondered, Dog Egg, stepping into his own portal, let out a ghostly scream and reached a hand out to the Eight Elites of Demons for help.
