Chapter 734: Unusual Turmoil Throughout the Place
"So, where are we going, Master?" Miranda asked curiously.
Leon came to a halt. He rubbed his chin, his eyes scanning the dense forest around them.
At first, he had assumed the journey could only continue by sea—but he had been mistaken. Just beyond the tribe’s settlement lay a forest rumored to be directly connected to the mainland.
"For now, there’s something I need to take care of before we move on," Leon said softly.
"Take care of something?" Miranda tilted her head, puzzled. "What is it?"
Leon simply smiled. "You’ll see soon enough."
Without another word, he activated the Eye of Chaos in his right eye, scanning the area.
Having fully awakened it once before, his control over the power had improved significantly since the first time he used it.
Even so, he couldn’t activate it completely just yet—his body wasn’t ready.
Still, he felt no frustration or doubt. He was certain the time would come.
"Found you," he murmured with a faint smile.
In a flash, his figure vanished and reappeared before a hidden cave, roughly three hundred meters away.
The cave was enormous, with droplets of water falling from above, casting a quiet, ethereal beauty.
Thick vines draped over the top and entrance, making it easy to mistake for a simple rock formation.
"No wonder the tribe never found it," he muttered, shaking his head. "This place is perfect for hiding."
His purpose in coming here was clear—to destroy the children of the monster, Merzen.
Considering Merzen’s mate was killed by Elaruk two years ago, it wasn’t impossible that he had hidden their offspring somewhere.
The lingering traces of Merzen’s aura led him here—this cave was the most likely hiding place.
Without hesitation, Leon stepped inside. At first glance, the cave looked ordinary. Jagged rocks, one to two meters tall, lined both sides. The ground was dry and slightly sandy—perfect conditions for a nest.
His right eye scanned the depths of the cave. Within moments, he found what he was looking for—the eggs.
He moved swiftly toward a thick patch of bushes and pushed them aside, revealing hundreds of eggs hidden within.
"That’s a lot," he muttered.
If they all hatched and matured, they could easily wipe out this entire part of the forest—including Jasmine’s tribe.
Thankfully, he had remained cautious and hadn’t rushed off.
Clenching his right hand tightly, he summoned a surge of holy energy.
His golden eyes gleamed with killing intent as he raised his fist—and struck.

"Done..." Leon muttered, brushing his hands together as he stepped out of the cave.
A faint smile appeared on his face as he looked off into the distance, toward where Jasmine and her tribe were.
"Now they’re safe. There will be no more threats in the future."
He paused for a moment, then added quietly, "Consider this my final gift for Jasmine’s kindness. We’re even now—no debts left between us."
*Swish!*
Two golden wings unfurled from his back, and in the blink of an eye, Leon vanished from the scene.
...
Three months passed in the blink of an eye, and the world once again entered the grip of a harsh, piercing winter.
Normally, winter was a time when people stayed indoors, avoiding unnecessary activity outside. But this winter was different.
A massive upheaval shook the balance of power across the mainland. Ancient monsters—long hidden in forests, mountains, ravines, and other remote corners—suddenly emerged from their lairs.
Their appearance brought chaos and destruction. Two cities on the border of the Dragon Empire fell under brutal assault.
Fortunately, thanks to early evacuation efforts, there were no civilian casualties.
In response, Athena dispatched two hundred elite soldiers from the Blue Dragon and Black Dragon Legions.
These were no ordinary troops. They were the best of the best—warriors with exceptional skill and the power of their origin, allowing them to transform into true dragons.
Two hundred blue and black dragons soared through the skies above the ruined cities, unleashing their might and wiping out the invading monsters in a single, overwhelming assault.
Similar outbreaks occurred within the territories of two other major powers: the Demon Empire and the Holy Orthodoxy.
Strange monsters emerged from the Desert of Chaos and stormed the border regions of both nations.
These creatures resembled humans—tall and thin—but their arms were grotesquely long, ending in claws sharp enough to slice through a human body with ease.
And they came in overwhelming numbers: four hundred thousand in total.
Two hundred thousand surged toward the Demon Empire, while the other half invaded the lands of the Holy Orthodox.
To counter the attack, Liliana dispatched Daniel and Zahat—two archdemons—to the border, accompanied by five hundred thousand demon soldiers who had previously fought in the war against humanity.
But this time was different. They had come to the Desert of Chaos with a single purpose: to destroy the monsters.
Meanwhile, the Holy Orthodoxy did not remain idle. Arshley sent Valen, Luna, and Adam to the border, leading four hundred thousand elite soldiers, along with an additional one hundred thousand barbarian warriors.
Since their conquest, the barbarians had officially become part of Holy Orthodoxy’s society.
Naturally, there was resistance at first. A rebellion even broke out among them. But over time, they gradually began to accept their new identity.
Arshley treated them well, building a great city for them to live in—offering dignity, opportunity, and stability.
They were provided with proper employment, and before long, merchants from various cities began arriving to trade and establish branch offices.
As a result, the barbarians—who once struggled to survive—were now able to access basic necessities and a wide range of services with ease.
Much of this prosperity could be attributed to Jim and the Trading House of Eclipse.
They had provided significant financial support and constructed major roads throughout the region—projects that cost millions of gold coins.
In short, the presence of the Trading House brought structure and prosperity to Holy Orthodoxy’s economy.
...
Eryuentium...
High atop the palace tower, the Dragon Ancestor stared into the distance, his gaze cold and unreadable.
From where he stood, nothing was visible to the naked eye. Yet with his power, he could witness events unfolding thousands of miles away.
"This feels far too familiar," he murmured, narrowing his eyes. "Could the Evil God be awakening sooner than expected? If so, it will bring ruin upon us all."
He drew a long breath, then lowered his head and whispered, "Fated One... you must grow stronger—quickly. If you fail to complete your task in time, the world may not survive what lies ahead."
