Chapter 732: Sudden Happy News - Part 2

Upon hearing that voice, Elina’s body froze. Her eyes widened, and her heart began to race.

"What was that? Am I hallucinating?" She muttered in shock, quickly sitting up.

She stared intently at the token, now glowing faintly, and waited anxiously for the voice to return.

"Elina? Can you hear me, or are you not there?"

"Hiss!" Elina gasped, her chest swelling with uncontrollable joy.

At first, she thought it was just a hallucination—but it was real. Leon was alive!

Strength surged through her body, as if all her pain had been swept away by the wind.

She sat up straighter, brought the token to her lips, and replied in a trembling voice, "Young Master, I’m here. How are you? Why did you disappear without a word for the past two months?"

Of course, she knew what had happened to Leon. But hearing it from him directly was the only way to truly calm her heart.

"I’m glad you’re there and seem to be doing well," Leon said with a relieved sigh. "It’s a long story, but I’ll keep it short. When I faced the monster, I..."

He began recounting the events, briefly but without leaving out anything important.

Elina listened closely, her expression serious. Ten minutes later, Leon finished—and she had grasped the whole story.

"So that’s what happened," she murmured, exhaling deeply. "I didn’t expect you to end up in such a remote place, Young Master. But you’re okay, right? They didn’t do anything to hurt you... did they?"

"Don’t worry. They’re all very kind. One of them is even taking good care of me while I recover," Leon answered gently.

Elina regained her composure. A beautiful smile—one that hadn’t appeared in a long time—finally bloomed on her face.

"By the way, how are you and Morgrim? Did you survive the eruption of Mount Durnhak?" Leon asked with concern.

"We did, Young Master," Elina replied proudly. She patted her chest and continued, "You have no idea how thrilling and terrifying it was! Rocks were falling from the mountaintop, and..."

With growing excitement, Elina began recounting the events in vivid detail, as if reliving the moment.

Leon listened quietly, not interrupting her once. Twenty minutes later, Elina finally stopped and gave an embarrassed smile.

"Ahem... sorry, Young Master. I got a bit carried away," she said, flustered.

She hadn’t meant to go on for so long and had nearly forgotten that Leon was still listening.

"Pfft! It’s fine, Elina. I’m just glad you’re safe," Leon chuckled, showing no sign of annoyance. "But I do have a favor to ask. Will you help me?"

Elina’s eyes lit up. Without hesitation, she nodded firmly. "Of course, Young Master! Just tell me what you need."

Leon paused for a moment before saying, "Since you’re already in Elven territory, I need you to meet the First Elder. Ask her to speak with Morgrim and request the Crystal of Happiness from the dwarves’ treasure vault. It’s very important to me. The First Elder will understand what it means, so you won’t need to explain further."

"Yes, Young Master. Leave it to me," Elina replied seriously.

"Good," Leon said, breathing a sigh of relief.

They continued talking for a while, touching on various topics—including the condition of Athena and Zelda.

Having been gone for two months, Leon was naturally worried that the two might have been heartbroken or even done something reckless.

Fortunately, Elina reassured him that they were doing well and hadn’t fallen into the despair he feared.

Eventually, their conversation came to an end, and the room fell silent once more.

But Elina’s gloomy expression was completely gone, replaced by a bright, joyful look.

"Young Master is alive! Yay!" She cheered, bouncing excitedly with one hand raised. "I have to tell Big Sister and the others!"

Without another thought, she leapt out of bed and rushed out of the room with eager steps.

...

"Huh..."

Inside her study, Athena let out a soft sigh as she massaged her temples.

Piles of untouched documents were stacked on her desk, but she couldn’t care less.

Her mind was consumed by one thing—Leon’s safety.

It had already been two months since the search began, yet not a single trace of him had been found.

Even with Arshley, Liliana, Zelda, and herself searching separately and combining their efforts, the result was the same: nothing.

Her head throbbed, and the madness within her grew worse with each passing day.

"I want to go find him," she muttered, eyes filled with anger and frustration. "There’s no way that man is dead. That’s not true! I know he’s still alive..."

Her breathing quickened, her chest rising and falling sharply. But after a moment, she forced herself to calm down, pulling her emotions back in check.

"This isn’t good," she whispered, shaking her head. "My dragon instincts almost took over."

Among dragonkind, once a female chose her life partner, her loyalty was absolute. There were rare cases where a female had more than one mate—but those were exceptions, not the norm.

And the man to whom she had given both her body and soul was Leon. From the beginning, her love had grown into obsession. After he accepted her, those feelings only deepened—until now, they had become overwhelming.

Taking a deep breath, Athena leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes.

Suddenly, the crystal orb on the left side of Athena’s desk lit up brightly. Her eyes snapped open, and her brows furrowed in confusion.

"Liliana? Why is she contacting me?" She muttered to herself.

Still, she didn’t hesitate for long. Reaching out with her right hand, she channeled mana into the crystal.

In an instant, the light dimmed, replaced by a glowing projection of a woman—Liliana.

Athena’s eyes narrowed. Her voice was cold as she asked, "Why are you contacting me?"

Ever since the news of Leon’s death had spread, Athena hadn’t been able to sleep peacefully. And the root of it all, of course, was this woman.

She knew Liliana wasn’t entirely to blame. The woman had only delivered the facts—harsh as they were—but accepting them had been anything but easy.

"What’s with that look, Athena? Why do you seem so worn out?" Liliana teased playfully.

"You..." Athena nearly severed the connection in irritation but held herself back.

She didn’t know why that annoying woman had suddenly contacted her, but knowing Liliana’s nature, she was certain it wasn’t without a reason.

What made her even more suspicious was Liliana’s lively and unusually cheerful expression.

"Does she have good news?"

The thought flashed through her mind, sending her heart racing. A flicker of nervous hope appeared on her face.

"Pfft!" Liliana chuckled and gave a slight shake of her head. Crossing her long legs, she said casually, "Well, let’s not beat around the bush. I’m calling because I have important news—Leon is alive and safe."
