My Love Debts Are Everywhere! -
Chapter 714 - 714: Leon's Death - Part 2
Athena's body stiffened at Liliana's words. The smile on her lips vanished, replaced by a shadow of deep gloom.
"Leon... had an accident and is most likely... dead? Are you seriously saying this, Liliana Crimson?" She asked coldly.
A fiery red aura began to gather around her, causing the study to tremble violently, as if the room itself couldn't withstand the pressure she was releasing.
"I'm not joking," Liliana said firmly, sorrow and reluctance clouding her expression. "You may not know this, but Leon and I share a special bond through a mark called the Demon Mark."
"Through it, I could sense his condition—and he could sense mine. But just now, the mark vanished. And that can only mean one thing—Leon is dying, or even... dead."
Saying the word "dead" was painful. Leon was a powerful figure—it was hard to believe someone like him could fall.
After all, he was the "Fated One," the bearer of hope, the one destined to save the world.
But now, that belief had been shattered. The disappearance of the Demon Mark was undeniable proof—Leon was truly gone.
Athena fell silent, her gaze cast downward, leaving Liliana unable to read her thoughts.
Before a single word was spoken, Athena suddenly slammed her palm against the desk in front of her.
*Bang!*
The desk shattered into pieces, and the crystal orb resting on it rolled gently across the carpet.
From behind the orb, Liliana saw a majestic aura erupting from Athena's body, wild and intense.
"Athena, you—"
*Crack!*
Liliana's words were cut off as the crystal orb cracked, then disintegrated into ashes.
Athena had crushed it with her bare hand. Fury and hatred blazed in her eyes.
"Leon... is dead? Hahaha... Nonsense! That's impossible!" she shouted through clenched teeth, shaking her head violently. "Liliana must have tricked me! Yes, she had to!"
She kept telling herself it wasn't real—that it was all just an illusion.
But then, something strange happened… tears.
"Eh? Why am I crying?" she whispered, stunned, as she wiped her damp cheeks.
No matter how hard she tried, the tears wouldn't stop. They kept falling—relentless, uncontrollable.
"It's fake! It's all a lie!" she sobbed.
Her strength gave out. She slumped forward, shoulders trembling, as tears streamed down her face, dripping from her chin and soaking into the carpet.
"You promised you'd come back to me... So why did you lie, Leon…?"
*Boom!*
Suddenly, her body transformed into a massive red dragon. In an instant, half the palace was reduced to ruins. Soldiers, servants, and other residents stood frozen, trembling in fear.
"Wh-what happened? Is this an enemy attack?"
"No... that's Empress Athena's dragon form!"
"Damn it! Who made her this angry? How are we supposed to stop her?!"
Panic spread throughout the palace. No one knew what to do.
Amid their terrified stares, the red dragon spread her enormous wings and took to the sky, disappearing beyond the distant horizon.

Chaos wasn't limited to the Dragon Empire—it also erupted in the places where the women close to Leon lived.
Inside the Holy Orthodox Hall, Arshley was in the middle of a meeting with Edward, Louis, Lucas, Adam, and Victor when a sudden, thunderous sound echoed from behind the throne.
*Dong!*
*Dong!*
The deep toll of the bell shook the entire hall. Soldiers, maids, and even civilians near the Holy Hall fell into panic.
"Edward, what's going on? Why is that bell suddenly ringing?" Arshley asked, startled.
Edward's expression darkened as he turned his gaze toward the massive bell behind Arshley's throne.
"I'm sorry, Saint... I don't know," he replied uncertainly, shaking his head. "As far as I know, that bell was never meant to ring again... unless the Sword Hero, Leon Kruger, has returned to the Holy Hall. After all, that bell is his—an artifact secretly passed down by the First Saint."
According to an ancient manuscript he had once discovered, the giant bell was a sacred weapon left behind by the First Saint—meant only for the prophesied figure. And that figure was none other than Leon.
The bell had only rung a few times before. According to the manuscript, it was meant to ring again only when Leon returned to claim it.
That made its sudden tolling all the more bewildering.
Upon hearing his words, Arshley frowned. A sense of dread began to stir in her chest, as if something had happened to the one she loved most... Leon.
Meanwhile, Lucas, Louis, Adam, and Victor exchanged uneasy glances. Confusion was written across their faces.
They all knew of the giant bell—an artifact believed to have once belonged to the First Saint of Holy Orthodoxy.
But none of them had expected it to be connected to Leon.
Lucas narrowed his eyes, staring intently at the bell, which continued to ring—its deep vibrations stirring both the air and the hearts of all who heard it.
"Saint! Urgent news!"
Suddenly, a soldier burst into the hall, breathless and pale with panic.
Arshley was slightly startled but showed no anger at the intrusion.
"Speak," she said calmly.
The soldier clasped his hands and reported, "A direct call has come from Demon Empress Liliana—addressed to you personally."
"A call from Liliana?" Arshley froze in shock.
Without hesitation, she rose to her feet and gave a slight nod. "Thank you for the report."
Then she turned to Edward and said, "Edward, come with me. The rest of you, carry on with your assigned duties."
No one protested. The Guardians placed their hands over their chests, bowed, and replied in unison, "As you command, Saint."
Moments later, Arshley and Edward left the throne room, their backs followed by the silent gazes of the Guardians.
Unnoticed by them, Lucas's expression turned cold—his eyes filled with quiet, murderous intent.

Arshley, followed closely by Edward, stepped into her private study. On the desk sat a milky white crystal orb, glowing faintly with a soft, magical light.
It was a special communication device she had purchased from the Eclipse Trading House—used exclusively for secure contact between herself, Athena, and Liliana.
To be honest, she still found it hard to believe that a mere trading house had developed such a sophisticated magical artifact.
Victor had spent years researching long-distance communication magic without success. And yet, the Eclipse Trading House had managed to produce one in such a short span of time.
Arshley and Edward came to a stop in front of the desk. Arshley reached out and touched the surface of the orb. In an instant, the elegant figure of Liliana appeared before them in shimmering hologram form.
Arshley smiled, about to greet her—but the smile quickly faded when she saw Liliana's pale face and anxious eyes.
Before she could say anything, Liliana took a deep breath—then spoke the words Arshley never imagined she would hear.
"Leon... is dead..."
