Such a small two-bedroom, one-living-room apartment, the kitchen is very tiny, barely enough space for one person to stand in front of the sink. Qin Zhiyou, a big guy over six feet tall, is wearing an apron, with a scouring pad in hand, meticulously washing dishes one by one. Lu Weixi stands beside him giving directions, pointing out spots that aren’t clean, to which he complies without any sign of unhappiness.

But as Lu Weixi nitpicks more, he squeezes an extra amount of dish soap, deliberately lathers up his hand with bubbles, and smears it on Lu Weixi’s face with a turn of his head. She fails to dodge in time and gets a face full of it, instantly erupting in anger. Sticking out her belly, she comes at him, "So you dare to smear on me, Qin Zhiyou—let’s see how I’ll deal with you!"

She immediately turns the faucet on and splashes water at him.

Qin Zhiyou quickly steps back to dodge the attack and teases her, "Not looking at your current figure, do you think you can clean me up? Can you even run faster than me? With those short legs!"

Are her legs short? Are they really short? She recalls someone who just the other day was praising her for "having long and white legs," dammit, and now he’s calling her legs short, he’s the one with short legs!

Lu Weixi tries to step forward, but Qin Zhiyou seeing Grandpa at the door, quickly says: "Grandpa’s here!"

"Even your great grandpa being here won’t help you!" Lu Weixi, thinking he is joking, intends to dodge the attack and steps forward, aiming a splash of water directly at him.

This is just teasing, for a woman, you can’t say she’s fat, nor old, Lu Weixi is furious and comes to scratch him. Qin Zhiyou wraps his arms firmly and doesn’t let go no matter how she moves, laughing, "Grandpa is really outside, he really is."

"You’re fooling who." Lu Weixi huffs and turns her head, and it’s indeed him. All her imposing manner deflates in an instant, and she promptly retracts her hands and tidies the hair by her ears, lowering her head saying, "Grandpa."

She asked Qin Zhiyou to help with the dishes, and she stirred up trouble herself; though in many ordinary families, it’s normal for men and women to share household chores. However, Qin Zhiyou has been waited on hand and foot since childhood, and if Yang Mogui saw this, he might say she is not virtuous.

"No worries, carry on," Grandpa Qin is untroubled, not only does he not blame them, but he also seems amused. He was originally concerned that his grandson living in such a cramped "pigeonhole" was a disservice, but seeing his content appearance now, he realizes that his grandson’s life is indeed well; at least that smile on his face, one that he hasn’t seen for twenty years since his father passed away.

"I just wanted to tell you, I’m heading back first. Let me know when the child is born, I’ll come see my great-grandson."

Qin Zhiyou, with his arms around Lu Weixi’s shoulders, asks further, "By the way, Grandpa, about Xixi and me getting back together..." He’s unaware that in the living room, Lu Weixi’s mother has already asked him to keep the reconciliation a secret, and he repeats it again.

"I know, as long as you’re happy together that’s what matters."

Grandfather Qin smiles and turns away, Qin Zhiyou hurriedly wipes his hands on the apron, "Grandpa, let me walk you out."
