Chapter 87: Chapter 87 I Can’t Live in Your Eyes
Han Fei tried to communicate with the other party, but there was no response. He opened the Attribute Panel, staring at the exit button while he started to search the bedroom for useful clues.
Closet, bed, pillows—when Han Fei wanted to open the bedside table, he suddenly felt a series of stinging pains in his back.
Slowly turning his head, Han Fei found that, without knowing when, all the dolls and rag dolls in the entire bedroom were looking at him.
The poses of those dolls were all different; some slumped on the ground, some faced up, some stood against the wall, but their heads were now all turned towards Han Fei.
Those eyes made from buttons, plastic, and metal seemed to contain some kind of emotion, exuding malice and pain.
Trapped in the room and watched by a bunch of eerie rag dolls, even Han Fei, who was seasoned by many trials, was a bit flustered.
He pinched himself hard and put on an almost perfect fake smile, "I think there is some misunderstanding between us. I feel sorry for you and want to punish those murderers. I’m not a hypocrite, I want to help you get revenge!"
Han Fei felt that Ying Yue was here, and to be more persuasive, he took out a hair accessory with Ying Yue’s name pinned on it from the Item Bar.
The moment he took out the hair accessory, the temperature in the room almost dropped to freezing point, and the ring on his hand began to feel cold as well.
"You shouldn’t bear this pain; it should be those who have hurt you."
Before the other party could go berserk, Han Fei slowly removed the nails from the hair accessory. He carefully folded the paper with Ying Yue’s name and birthday written on it and placed it in his pocket close to his body.
Getting up to leave the Princess room, Han Fei entered the bedroom next door and took out the woman’s diary and the child’s picture album.
He tore off a few pages from the picture album, folded them into a Paperman, and then wrote Mingmei’s name on the back of the Paperman.
While all the rag dolls and dolls in the room were staring at Han Fei, and the ghost hadn’t figured out what Han Fei was doing, he raised the nail that had been in Ying Yue’s hair accessory and plunged it fiercely into the Paperman with Mingmei’s name.
"They have committed such a great sin; they absolutely cannot get away with it. The pain you have borne should also be felt by them!"
After he finished speaking, Han Fei tore a few more pages from the woman’s diary and folded another Paperman, "Can you tell me that woman’s name? I really want to help you!"
The nail that had once been driven into his own flesh was now stuck into the Paperman, upon which the name of the person he hated the most was written.
The chill in the room seemed to dissipate a bit, and though the rag dolls and dolls still stared at Han Fei, the malevolence in their gaze concentrated mainly on the Paperman.
Han Fei secretly breathed a sigh of relief; his diversion had been very successful.
The temperature in the room returned to normal, but the coldness emanating from Han Fei’s ring was increasing — it seemed the room’s most terrifying ghost was about to appear.
Without fear or evasion, Han Fei looked candidly at the multitude of rag dolls, "I’m here to join you in your revenge."
At this moment, Han Fei wished he could write these words on his body to express his goodwill.
Perhaps because it had never encountered a neighbor like Han Fei, Room 1084 began to change slowly. A closet that had been closed suddenly opened a crack, revealing a blood-red eye.
And this was just the beginning. Behind bookshelves, in the gaps of quilts, beside curtains, and even in the eyes of the portraits on the wall, all started to blink.
One by one, eyes in the room opened as if something that had been slumbering was now awakening.
The chill emanating from the landlord’s ring had now surpassed that of the neighbor on the ninth floor, and what alarmed Han Fei was that the cold on his finger was still intensifying.
When the ring’s chill reached its peak, all of the eyeballs began to bleed, and at the same time, the voice of the system rang in Han Fei’s mind.
"Player number 0000, please note! You have successfully triggered the G-level hidden mission—Pupil House!"
"Pupil House (G-level Hidden Mission): Find Ying Yue and leave room 1084 alive."
There was no time limit, nor any additional requirements, this newly triggered hidden mission was somewhat different from the previous ones Han Fei had encountered.
As those dormant eyes continued to open, Han Fei was starting to feel suffocated.
The disparity in strength was too great, and the other party was not even targeting him, merely appearing had already affected him.
"Is this the ghost living on the eighth floor? How terrifying must the ghost hiding on the ninth floor be?"
With nowhere to run and no place to hide, Han Fei could only brace himself to search for Ying Yue.
"This hidden mission is split into two phases, it’s highly unlikely that the system would arrange it at random, the first step to surviving must be to find Ying Yue."
As Han Fei began to move, the ghost on the eighth floor fully awoke.
Those eyes, now streaming with bloody tears, fixed their gaze on Han Fei, and the sound of a girl crying arose from somewhere in the room, followed by cries from every corner!
"What’s happening? Had Ying Yue cried out in these places before?"
The crying was heart-wrenching, with faint calls for help mixed in, as though a child was hoping someone would find and rescue her.
"Vision impaired, Ying Yue’s world was enveloped in darkness, and her surroundings were filled with malevolence and harm; she must have wished for someone to discover and save her."
Han Fei hesitated no longer; he reached out his hand, hoping to use the landlord’s ring to sense her location, but the ring could only give a rough idea of the range.
"Ying Yue is in this bedroom right now! She must be hiding inside the body of a rag doll!"
There were simply too many dolls and figures in the room, but Han Fei had no other choice; he got down on the ground and began checking the dolls one by one.
When he picked up a large stuffed dog toy, Han Fei suddenly felt that it was heavier than normal toys.
Opening the zipper on the back of the little dog toy, Han Fei saw an arm wrapped in adhesive tape.
The moment he saw the arm, Han Fei immediately thought of a sentence from that woman’s diary—"January 15th, Mingmei wanted to have a pet, but alas, Ying Yue’s health was poor, allergic to animal fur, their personalities really don’t match."
"Ying Yue is allergic to animal fur, Mingmei wanted a pet, could that woman have dismembered Ying Yue and stuffed her into the stuffed toy?"
Han Fei took a deep breath of cold air, he had already speculated about the worst from the perspective of the other party, but he realized he had still underestimated their malevolence.
With trembling fingers, Han Fei forced himself to concentrate; he opened all the stuffed toys in the room.
Bit by bit, he removed the adhesive tapes, and finally, in this room full of eyes, he assembled a girl with her eyes tightly shut.
