My ‘Healing’ Game
Chapter 842: Until I Get My Wish

Chapter 842: Chapter 842: Until I Get My Wish

Since the school was established, such a scene has never occurred.

No one from the two classes chosen for the Black Building was injured; all the children were brought back safely.

In the midst of disaster, children with special personalities represent hope; Yan Lan single-handedly protected the ember of the stronghold.

The faint light scattered over her long hair, and her fearless eyes seemed to declare war against the city occupied by ghosts and monsters.

Blood slid down the metal on her arm—strong, domineering, authoritative—many involuntarily lowered their heads.

"Bang!"

Yan Lan jerked the rusty chain behind her, fusing with hatred, causing the headmaster, who had turned into a ghost and monster, to fall to the ground.

Scattered fragments of grudge fell like black snow behind her.

Her pitch-black boots stepped on the headmaster’s spine; hatred surged, but it couldn’t free itself from Yan Lan’s chain.

"The former headmaster used the students’ lives to trade with Black Building’s hatred, treating the children as his bargaining chips. He long ceased to be a respected holder of a benevolent personality; after continually breaking his limits, he became a ghost!"

"As you’ve seen, blood sacrifices, massacres, severing connections with other strongholds—all were his doing!"

The pent-up anger of the people was stirred, and all negative emotions found an outlet.

Unknown who first shouted to kill him, gradually, public opinion surged, the crowd became agitated, even the few management staff who knew the truth earlier dared not resist.

"In his mind, human lives became commodities for trade, and those children whose personalities hadn’t awakened were considered even cheaper than ghosts and monsters."

Pulling the chain, Yan Lan locked the headmaster’s neck, holding hatred up under the faint light.

"When disaster came, some fought desperately, risking everything, sacrificing everything. Others wallowed in darkness, losing their humanity, forgetting their personality, eyes blinded to light."

Covered in hatred, the headmaster struggled painfully in the morning light, resembling a pitiful monster, ugly, disgusting, making everyone abhor him.

"Those who wish to submit to ghosts and monsters, salute your last king, for this is your fate."

In the crowd’s furious shouts, metal spikes on Yan Lan’s back pierced through her skin, and the terrifying tattoos on her body became stained with blood. She raised her right fist before everyone and struck the headmaster’s head.

An utterly piercing scream rang out; the hatred-filled headmaster was pierced by Yan Lan in the light and transformed into a sky filled with black fog.

At the same time, Han Fei, standing behind Class Seven, almost didn’t stand firm. To cooperate with Yan Lan, he summoned the headmaster. This brief under-a-minute increased his mental pollution index.

Having killed the headmaster who had turned into a ghost and monster, protected all the students, uncovered all the stronghold’s conspiracies, the daring personality Yan Lan instantly gained the trust of the stronghold’s survivors. She inherently possessed great personal charm, always leading the charge, going out every night to hunt ghosts and monsters. The various small deeds she previously did gathered to form her current prestige.

"The old headmaster always conspired with the Black Building’s hatred to sacrifice everyone in the stronghold. He destroyed the food processing plant, polluted the water source; it’s no longer safe here, but I’ve already found a new path for everyone." Yan Lan released the chain in her hand, pointing towards the depths of Area C: "Disaster Investigation Bureau, one of the three remaining human strongholds in Xinhu; they’ve extended an invitation to us. You all need not worry; on the way, I will escort you fully! Just like bringing these children safely back to school, I will safely send all of you to the new stronghold!"

Food and water have become problems; the stronghold survivors have no retreat.

"Before a new headmaster is voted in, I’ll temporarily lead everyone." Yan Lan looked towards the crowd: "If no one opposes, then quickly go back and pack; we leave in two hours and should reach the Disaster Investigation Bureau before dark."

After brief hesitation, the vast majority of survivors believed Yan Lan’s words and went back to pack, with the remaining small portion following suit out of necessity.

Things went smoother than expected; there was no opposition, and even Director Crow told the students to go back and pack.

Walking towards the school, though unspoken, everyone now regards Yan Lan as the new headmaster.

"You agree with what I said, right?" Yan Lan moved through the crowd to face several teachers and Director Crow.

"You’re too impulsive; what you did is akin to tearing apart your relationship with the two Black Buildings, dragging us all into a dangerous whirlpool." Director Crow’s double eyes reflected Yan Lan’s figure: "I need an explanation."

"There’s nothing to explain; I’ve long wanted to do this." Yan Lan clanged her fists together.

"Was it the Disaster Investigation Bureau that assisted you? Based solely on your ability, there’s no way you could kill the headmaster." Class Two’s person-in-charge Yingyan’s face looked bad; he was always groomed as the successor by the headmaster, but now the headmaster is dead.

"Is that so?" Yan Lan smiled and said no more, directly departing.

"Director Crow, are we just going to let her be? Her personality will eventually cause chaos!" Yingyan is a dual personality, usually warm and friendly to everyone, but becomes ominous and terrifying when trouble arises, with eyes full of malice.

"How to handle it? Do you think she could accomplish all this alone?" Director Crow’s gaze moved among the school’s other teachers, he suddenly realized Han Fei had vanished: "There must be other teachers in the school assisting her; we seem to have ignored a very formidable person."

"Gao Cheng?"

"Relentless greed and desire, burning ambition! I should have thought about it earlier, but was deceived by that guy’s deliberate weakness." Director Crow didn’t continue the topic, seemed to have thought of something, turned, and headed towards the office building: "The headmaster’s dead; there are many key things in the school to take away. Come with me."

Director Crow and Yingyan quickly entered the office building, which seemed exceptionally quiet today.

Climbing the stairs, they ran all the way to the headmaster’s office door; when they tried to open the door, they found the lock had already been destroyed.

Black fog, exuding catastrophe scent, seeped through the door crack; Director Crow’s double eyes narrowed, and he forcefully pushed the door open.

"Morning, Director Crow."

Han Fei’s voice echoed in the principal’s office. He sat in the principal’s chair, legs propped on the desk, casually shaking the bottle filled with ghost blood.

The principal had three black boxes, each containing items he exchanged from the black building. Now those three black boxes were placed in the center of the desk.

The first box contained two intact hearts of grudge and five bottles of ghost blood. The second box held important school documents and all confidential files. Han Fei couldn’t open the third box; it was a special grudge mutated item, and killing it would destroy everything inside the box.

"Gao Cheng!" Yingyan followed Director Crow into the office, his eyes showing a hint of dissatisfaction. The seat Han Fei occupied was supposed to be his.

Director Crow stopped Yingyan with his hand and slowly entered the office. "The old principal was killed, and the things he left behind should belong to the school collectively. Let me temporarily keep these three black boxes, and we’ll distribute them fairly once everyone is safe."

"The things left by the old principal should naturally belong to the old principal," Han Fei flicked the coin in his fingers, and a suffocating greed black fog seeped out, merging with the hatred of the principal, who silently appeared and stood behind Han Fei.

The piercing hatred was like a storm; Director Crow, who wanted to reach out, was crushed by the terrifying aura, unable to lift his head.

"Principal? Did you, did you swallow the principal?!"

"The box is here, do you dare take it?"

Han Fei drank the ghost blood from the cup, his smile chillingly eerie!

The office door closed, and Sickness Core and Impermanence blocked Director Crow’s way out.

"Gao Cheng, what do you want to do?" Yingyan hadn’t expected Han Fei to be so bold, drinking ghost blood and swallowing the principal. This was not something a human could accomplish.

"I want to do many things, like lead the survivors into the investigation bureau, rebuild the school, kill all rule-breaking bad guys, and reclaim the city occupied by ghosts."

"Be realistic; some things aren’t achievable by humans." Director Crow withdrew his hand, eyeing the last black box on the desk. "You keep two of the boxes, and I’ll take one with Yingyan. I’ve already made a huge concession."

"You need not inconvenience yourself. The box is right here. If you want it, come and take it." Han Fei stared into Director Crow’s double eyes, greed’s black fog swirling behind him.

"The world has changed, no longer the same as before. You possess insatiable greed, but your ever-burning ambition will ultimately lead to your downfall!" Director Crow didn’t move forward after all.

"I want to save more people. Is that greed? I want to reclaim the city occupied by ghosts. Is that ambition?" Han Fei stood up from the seat. "The things you don’t dare do, I will do. The people you don’t dare kill, I will kill. If you think this is greed, then indeed, I’m the biggest ambitious person in this city."

Destiny’s coin spun on the black box. Han Fei recklessly spread his arms wide. "There’s nothing impossible; I’ll kill all obstructing ghosts, clear all ghost buildings in the city, disperse the clouds, smash the shrine, until everything is as I wish!"

The pitch-black greed abyss appeared behind Han Fei, blazing black fire roared, countless grudges wailed in agony.

Though Han Fei possessed a healing-type personality, he aligned perfectly with Gao Cheng’s greed personality; they both harbored the same thought deep down — to kill the Master of Shrine!

"Madman, truly a madman..." Director Crow looked at the personality abyss phantom behind Han Fei, completely abandoning the boxes left by the principal, and left with Yingyan.

Gathering all the grudges, Han Fei sat back in the principal’s chair. Suddenly the door to the adjacent office pushed open, and Yan Lan walked in.

"Do you really plan to reclaim the city occupied by ghosts?"

"Of course." Han Fei looked up at Yan Lan. "Everything I just said is my truest thoughts. Whether you believe it or not, I will march toward this goal, even if in the end I’m the only one persistent."

"Player Number 0000, please note! Yan Lan’s friendliness increased by one!"

Yan Lan slightly nodded, seemingly gaining a new understanding of Han Fei. "The path you choose is difficult, but you’re not alone."

Yan Lan didn’t touch the box containing the school’s secrets, directly leaving.

Half an hour later, survivors bearing large bags appeared on the base street, anxious about the potential ghost attacks.

"You only need to bring the most important things!"

The school base originally had over four thousand people. After Yan Lan killed the principal in front of everyone, some loyal principal supporters, including families, fled, worried about being implicated, as they had shared in some shameful deeds with the principal.

A small portion refused to leave, or believed there were better places to go.

Yan Lan waited for two and a half hours, then finally led the survivor team to depart, after confirming everything thrice.

Including all students, a total of three thousand people were willing to leave with them.

The long queue wound through the city streets, and all holders of special personalities were on high alert.

Such large-scale movement could only be conducted during the day. Once night fell, all ghosts along the way would target them, drawing on hatred.

"The patients I set free from the Third Mental Hospital are still at the Dark Merchant’s place. Once the survivors reach the Disaster Investigation Bureau, I’ll have to go over too."

Han Fei was always curious about which divine spirit the Dark Merchant worshiped. Supposedly, only Gao Xing’s god statue should exist in this shrine memory world, unless other unspeakable wills inhabited the shrine now.

Hours passed, Yan Lan led the way, Han Fei the rear guard. Though encountering several ghosts along the journey, no casualties ensued.

As evening darkened, some survivors inexplicably became anxious and fearful within the team. Han Fei also began having auditory hallucinations, as if someone continuously whispered Gao Cheng’s name in his ear.

"This ghost found the wrong person, right?"
