Chapter 625 Hidden Map Paradise

Chapter 625: Chapter 625 Hidden Map Paradise

Huang Ying was the number one player in the Shallow World. If he was delayed by even a day, other players might use that time to close the gap between them and Huang Ying, which would be extremely detrimental to Han Fei’s overall plan.

He had to ensure that Huang Ying remained firmly seated on the throne of the number one player before using that title to carry out other operations.

However, if he used the Soul-returning Skill on Huang Ying, then Shen Luo would have to stay in the Deep World until tomorrow. Han Fei was currently very wary of this player and worried that he might cause more trouble.

As a player who had entered the Deep World for the second time on his own strength, Han Fei truly felt that Shen Luo was extraordinary.

It should be noted that the lowest Luck Value was zero, yet Han Fei couldn’t see through Shen Luo’s exact attributes. He was the most unique among all players.

"Han Fei, I’ll count to three, and then we run together," whispered Shen Luo, holding the shattered porcelain as he discussed the escape route with Han Fei.

"You run to the top floor and find a place to hide. I’ll lead it away," Han Fei said seriously. He knew Xu Qin was on the fifth floor, so having Shen Luo go to the top floor would minimize the chance of their encountering each other.

"No way! How could I let you do something so dangerous alone?" Shen Luo firmly refused. Although he might be unlucky, he was still a good person.

"Quit the nonsense!" Han Fei sensed Big Evil’s excitement. Whenever Big Evil got excited, it meant Han Fei was about to face a life-and-death crisis.

Big Evil joyfully charged at Han Fei in the room, tearing off wall coverings and sending debris flying. Han Fei decisively dragged Shen Luo out of the room, "Run! Don’t leave the top floor!"

Meeting for the first time and already sacrificing oneself for another, Han Fei’s actions warmed Shen Luo’s entire winter. He had initially felt a good rapport with Han Fei, and now he thought even more highly of him.

"Brother! I..." Shen Luo’s words were cut short as he saw Han Fei knocked three meters away by Big Evil.

Big Evil saw Han Fei and excitedly wanted a loving hug from its master, a scene that, in its own eyes, was very heartwarming. To Shen Luo, however, it was like an R-rated, heavy-taste horror film.

A living person being tackled by a black alien, the next moment would likely bring an extremely gruesome scene.

To his credit, Shen Luo’s legs went weak with fear, but he still threw the shattered porcelain at Big Evil’s head, seemingly trying to attract its attention to give Han Fei a chance to escape.

"Get going! Head to the top floor and hide!" Han Fei didn’t even bother to use his Master-level Acting; he just perfunctorily performed a scene of life-and-death parting before allowing Big Evil to take him away.

"Han Fei!" Shen Luo mustered the courage to pursue, but he was no match for Big Evil’s speed.

Looking at the dark and empty corridor, Shen Luo remembered Han Fei’s words, bit his lip, and ran towards the top floor.

Only after Shen Luo had left did Han Fei emerge from the darkness, frowning and sitting on Big Evil’s back, "Sent away, but can you find your way back on your own?"

If Shen Luo had been a person of terrible character, Han Fei would have just cast him into the Deep World and let him fend for himself.

The key issue was that Shen Luo was essentially a good person, without malicious intentions. Han Fei didn’t want to send someone like that to more dangerous places like Paradise.

"He’s got amnesia, yet feels a connection with me. Just now, he was even thinking of saving me... Forget it, better lock him on the top floor for now," Han Fei called for Feng Ziyu and instructed him to find a way to lock Shen Luo in the hardest room to escape from on the top floor and to definitely not let him out.

"Why not lock him in the room with the little white shoes? That was Butterfly’s former room, the most secret," Feng Ziyu and the other security guards quickly understood Han Fei’s intent. They also knew that Shen Luo was the catalyst for Xu Qin breaking through her Hatred on that day, and everyone viewed this player who nearly destroyed Death Building with great importance.

"Tonight, I’ll take most of the neighbors to the department store and use that as a starting point to officially begin exploring Paradise. I’ll take Little White Shoes away in a bit, and you remaining people, under the premise of protecting yourselves, make sure Shen Luo doesn’t wander off."

Han Fei took Paradise very seriously, and it could be said that he was going to put in his all this time.

He first used the Soul-returning Skill to send Huang Ying away, then went to meet Jin Sheng and Wei Youfu.

Jin Sheng had fallen into a deep sleep since cursing Han Fei last time, and has yet to recover.

Wei Youfu put on the coat Han Fei brought out from the department store, hiding his body’s special aura, and followed the other neighbors out of the fog.

With two Hatreds, along with Big Evil and the top victim of Human-body Puzzle, Han Fei was now extremely confident.

"Paradise has just been attacked by the Unspeakable, making it its weakest moment. We can’t afford to miss this opportunity."

Han Fei mobilized all the power he could muster, and everyone gathered at the department store.

"Are you sure you want to take action today?" Mirror God stood next to the shrine, a look of concern on his face, "That Paradise once held a special place for Fu Sheng as well. The ghosts and humans there are very strange, and their abilities are quite different from ours."

"I’ve thought about it for a long time. If we delay any further, our strength won’t increase by much, but Paradise will slowly recover from the Unspeakable’s destruction." Han Fei was very rational, and every decision he made came after long consideration.

"As long as you’ve considered the consequences, that’s fine." Mirror God, still worried, added a few more words, "The number of ghosts in Paradise is small, but their combined strength is the most terrifying among these areas. If you encounter a ’person’ in Paradise, remember to always stand behind Xu Qin."

"You make it sound as though I’m depending on someone for support," Han Fei didn’t continue to argue. He placed the faceless woman’s head into the department store shrine, then took out a pair of little white shoes shrouded in fog, "I’ll leave them in your care."

"What’s hidden in these shoes? You haven’t brought out that good-hearted piece of a Hatred’s soul, have you?" Mirror God looked at the pair of unremarkable little white shoes, concerned that the Hatred from the Plastic Surgery Hospital would come over, he promptly took the shoes and used the shrine to suppress them.

"There’s a very special person locked up in the Death Building right now, and I’m worried something bad might happen, so I moved the important things to you first." Preparing for any emergency, Han Fei said, and then joined the others to leave the department store, completing a G-level task with the help of the neighbors.

In less than three hours, Han Fei would be able to log off, and at that time, he would have an additional ace up his sleeve.

With everything prepared, everyone stayed at the boundary between Paradise and the Plastic Surgery Hospital Area.

The eternally dark sky seemed like an enormous backdrop, and no one knew what was hidden beyond it. But today, some were willing to try and grasp at the corner of the backdrop, attempting to find the hidden truths behind it.

A stifling and oppressive aura emanated from within the Plastic Surgery Hospital Area, as a Painter carrying a painting walked among the twisted structures. Although he was far from Han Fei, he appeared in front of him in just a few seconds.

"Bang!"

The heavy picture frame hit the ground, with blood and red paint dripping down. In the painting brought by the Painter there was a woman in a long dress.

One half of the woman’s dress was blood-red, soaking into the canvas; the other half was pure white, clean and elegant, as if it didn’t belong to this dirty world.

"Red Skirt is in your painting?"

The Large-scaled Grudge Red Skirt, who previously chased after Ten Fingers and then disappeared in the Plastic Surgery Hospital, turned out to have been captured by the Painter.

The painter, holding a red iron bucket, still did not speak, but handed the painting over to Han Fei. As for how to get the person in the painting out, that might be another "price."

"Since you’ve come, you must have agreed to explore the Paradise with us. Since you’re so sincere, I won’t say too much. After we finish exploring, I’ll return the faceless woman to you, and you release Red Skirt."

Hearing Han Fei’s words, the painter turned and looked towards the Paradise. After a slight nod, he was the first to walk towards that massive and twisted shadow.

"Let’s set off too," Han Fei said, standing beside Wei Youfu. As he stepped into the twisted buildings surrounding the Paradise, a new area on his game exploration map was illuminated, and the system prompt resounded in his mind.

"Player number 0000, please note! You have successfully entered the large-scale hidden map——Paradise."

"Paradise (Hidden Map): No one knows when, but the laughter here has become more and more prevalent."

...

The fog at the edge of the Death Building began to surge, and a pair of pure white shoes stepped out from the thick mist. His steps carried a fixed melody, as if with each step, innocent souls were wailing.

The heavy iron door was easily pushed open, he climbed the stairs, step by step, as if entering a deserted realm.

The Death Building was empty; he encountered no obstruction, easily passing through numerous Death Curses.

The heart burning with Hatred Black Fire slowly pulsed, his perception, severely hindered by the fog, seemed to recover a bit, and he sensed the presence of his own past goodwill!

Quickening his pace, the white shoes soon arrived at the top floor.

The Black Fire burned more fiercely, he pushed open the door branded with a butterfly pattern, entering the most hidden room of the Death Building.

There were no longer any traces of butterflies here, but every piece of furniture retained the scent of his own good thoughts.

It seemed as if that timid and kind child was imprisoned here!

The small white shoes moved around the room, gently pushing open the bedroom door.

A young man in his twenties was hiding behind the door, holding a wooden chair ready to smash it down. But when he saw that a child was entering, he forcefully changed direction, bringing the chair crashing down on the white shoes instead.

"Thank goodness I changed direction. I nearly hit your head just now," the young man in his twenties let out a long sigh of relief, then somewhat puzzledly scrutinized the child before him: "There are still children in this building?"

He kicked the chair to the side and looked at the child wearing the Welfare Home’s uniform coat: "Why are you running around so late at night? Where are your parents? Do you need me to take you to them?"

The boy in white shoes kept his head down, staring at the black stains on his shoes, as blood slowly appeared in his eyes.

"Speak up!" The young man crouched down and, using the dim light from the shrine, he finally made out the text on the child’s outerwear: "You’re not an orphan, are you? Were you adopted? Then do your foster parents live in this building?"

Sounds of souls being torn apart came from the Black Fire. With every word the young man said, the flames grew more intense!

"Mute? A deaf-mute?" The young man remembered that "Perfect Life" was a game primarily about healing. After a moment’s thought, he patted the boy’s shoulder and gestured with not-so-standard sign language: "My name is Shen Luo, what’s yours, kid?"

The child’s drooping head slowly lifted, and his young face changed, all his features turning into pitch-black holes.

The Hatred Black Fire that could no longer be suppressed burst forth from the bottom of his heart. The boy let out a piercing scream and then grabbed Shen Luo, shattering the glass on the top floor and speeding along atop the building, filled with boundless hatred!

The night wind whistled in his ears. As Shen Luo watched the exploding glass fill the sky, his mind was still in a state of shock.

It took about three seconds for him to let out an agonized scream.

The boy, driven by hatred, clutched Shen Luo and rushed towards the Paradise, his face contorted and ferocious, swearing not to let Shen Luo die so easily.

...

As Han Fei set foot in the Paradise Area, his right eye twitched slightly, and he felt something intuitively and glanced around.

"Left for wealth, right for disaster; could something be about to happen?"

Taking a deep breath, Han Fei calmed his emotions and continued to follow everyone else forward.

The Paradise Area, with the Paradise as its core, was surrounded by many other types of buildings. It was just that, possibly due to the influence of the Paradise, those buildings were all twisted and skewed, and one could not find any perfectly square and straight buildings in this entire area.

"It’s true that the Paradise Area has the fewest Ghost and Monsters; these buildings are basically empty, not a ghostly shadow in sight."

Not only Han Fei, but also everyone who entered the Paradise Area felt uneasy. The stronger one’s power, the more intense this feeling of discomfort.

"Nursery? Elementary school? Kindergarten? Welfare Home? Center for Disabled Children?"

The area surrounding the Paradise was filled with many child-related constructions. These buildings were empty and quiet, long since devoid of the usual clamor, leaving only silence.

The painter led the way in front, and after walking for an indeterminate amount of time, the silence was broken. Everyone heard the laughter of children.

"Seems like it’s coming from inside the Paradise?"

Picking up the pace, while everyone’s attention was focused on the laughter of the children, Han Fei suddenly saw a clown dressed to the nines standing at the window of a room.

He just stood quietly by the window, emitting neither a hint of vitality nor an ounce of Dark Energy, as if he were a human-shaped standee.

All, including the Hatred, ignored him except for Han Fei, who noticed him inadvertently.

Exaggerated makeup, an eternally smiling mouth, and a negligible drop of red tear on the left cheek—this clown was very similar to the one Han Fei had seen in the Paradise that morning.

"Number 11?"

Han Fei stopped in his tracks, about to notify the others when a sudden disturbance erupted from deep within the Paradise. Countless balloons were released, each adorned with the face of a child.
