Chapter 611: Han Fei’s First Live Broadcast
Chapter 611: Chapter 611: Han Fei’s First Live Broadcast
If Alin was just scared at first sight of the children in the dark, now her heart was completely occupied by fear.
"How come? I didn’t feel anything at all!" Alin struggled to turn her head to look at her back, where densely packed child handprints clung to her clothes like a deathly curse.
She frantically tore at her clothes, becoming somewhat crazed.
"All the costumes we wore were provided by Tang Yi, could it be possible he tampered with our clothes beforehand, applying some special substance?" Bai Cha tried to explain with his understanding, "I’ve seen Tang Yi pulling pranks like this on others in other shows."
Alin’s condition had become quite abnormal; her eyes, which had cried several times, were increasingly swollen, and her hands gradually lost control, actually tearing her own shirt into several rips.
"Don’t follow me! Don’t come after me!" Her nails even scratched her own flesh, accidentally drawing blood on her back.
"Throw that coat away," Han Fei took off his own shirt and handed it to Alin, "Later, don’t walk at the end of the line. Walk in the middle with Li Huang, and I’ll cover the rear."
Considering the possibility of hidden cameras around, the actors turned their backs to Alin, shielding her in the middle as she took off the shirt full of bloody handprints and put on Han Fei’s shirt.
"Thank you..." After Alin changed her clothes, she finally regained her composure, but her eyes seemed to have changed from before, as if the red paint had splashed into her eyes, causing her eye corners to turn blood red.
"It’s okay, ghosts probably can’t directly harm people, but they will use various suggestions to create illusions and misconceptions, ultimately causing you to harm yourself," Han Fei, feeling it wasn’t safe enough, added, "Remember, I said ’probably’, I can’t be sure either."
Han Fei had clashed with Butterfly, knew the tactics of Hatred, but above Hatred, there was the Unspeakable.
Some hatreds might not be able to kill directly, but what if they could use something left behind by the Unspeakable? Too much had happened in this abandoned plastic surgery hospital, and no one knew what the deepest terror was, so it’s better to be too careful than not careful enough.
Carrying the corpse’s torso alone, Han Fei walked at the very back of the group; without his shirt, his perfect physique was revealed, causing even Li Huang to unconsciously take a few more glances.
Compared to handsome male actors like Xiao Chen and Bai Cha, Han Fei exuded a special aura that was hard to describe, almost as if even ghosts didn’t dislike him.
"I’ll take the lead," feeling he couldn’t let Han Fei steal all the limelight, Bai Cha voluntarily moved to the front.
Leaving the operating room, when Bai Cha reached the corridor, he suddenly felt bewildered.
The previously empty, pitch-black corridor now had a black altar table with a huge black and white photo on it.
What was creepier was that the woman in the photo had no face of her own.
In the corridor strewn with paper money and flanked by wreaths, facing such a faceless portrait, anyone would feel a bit creeped out.
Bai Cha now very much regretted being the first to walk, but it was too awkward to speak up, so he had to just bite the bullet and move forward, "Be careful, there’s a new photo in the corridor outside. Someone else came by the fourth floor while we were in the operating room."
All the celebrities came out and saw the suddenly appeared altar table in the long corridor.
"Obviously, this hidden hand is seeking revenge for the woman in room eight; dead people aren’t likely to set up their own memorial. It feels more like it’s the living pretending to be ghosts," Wu Li had starred in many horror films, and most endings were like this; he was quite familiar with these tricks.
"Let’s not stay on this floor any longer; let’s go downstairs," said Alin, very frightened, her voice trembling as she spoke.
"Fine, just stick close to me." Bai Cha couldn’t muster the same courage as Han Fei, holding his phone for a long time before daring to move forward, taking each step with extreme caution.
"Can you manage or not? Can you walk a bit faster?" Han Fei, carrying a prop corpse, impatiently urged, needing to get back to his gaming at night, having to clock out before ten.
"What’s the rush? This is called being cautious, do you understand? Have you ever played a horror game?" Bai Cha stubbornly retorted, but he knew he couldn’t be too timid, so he sped up.
The emergency stairwell remained pitch-black, seeming as though the entire building’s electrical system had been damaged. The props intentionally designed by the production crew failed to activate, making the entire corridor appear sinister.
"Be careful! It was right here on the second floor that I saw those three Little Ghosts!" Standing in the middle of the group, Alin clutched Li Huang, even afraid to open her eyes and look straight ahead, for fear another child’s face might emerge from the darkness.
"Don’t worry about me." Bai Cha mentally cheered himself up, taking half a minute to move from the third floor to the second. He turned his head to look into the second-floor corridor and again froze in place, "How is this possible?"
"What’s happened?" The actors following him were already skittish, seeing Bai Cha halt, they all tensed up.
"See for yourselves." Bai Cha pointed toward the second-floor corridor, where in the middle of the dark hallway, a heavy metal surgical table was placed, and on the massive table lay a red "strawberry" cake with several white candles stuck in it.
Scattered around the surgical table were forks and knives alongside rotting children’s clothes, and faintly visible on the floor were children’s footprints.
"How was something so heavy moved out here from a room?"
The celebrities looked at each other, finally it was Alin who spoke, "I previously saw a ball roll out from the second floor, but it was actually a child’s head, it seems that this floor is crowded with lots of children!"
"That shouldn’t be right! Our script involves love and revenge, this isn’t an orphanage, why would there be so many children?" Wu Li was puzzled.
"Perhaps number eight particularly liked children before." Bai Cha was somewhat frightened, he ran past the second-floor corridor doorway as quickly as he could, reaching the first floor.
Back on the first floor and seeing the light in front of the elevator, Bai Cha breathed a sigh of relief, "We’re finally safe."
Walking in the front of the group was indeed very dangerous because he had to face unexpected situations first, but Bai Cha would never admit he was less capable than Han Fei, he had to prove in front of all the cameras that he was stronger than Han Fei!
"Xia Yilan disappeared right when the elevator doors opened, you guys better stay alert, keep an eye on your surroundings, and don’t get snatched away by something like her." Han Fei, carrying the corpse prop, walked towards the elevator, the group of actors pretended to be tough but actually didn’t dare to get close to the elevator.
"You’re telling us to watch our surroundings? Stop spouting nonsense, you and Xia Yilan are clearly in cahoots." Bai Cha gave a look that said he had seen through Han Fei a long time ago.
"If this were a live broadcast, viewers would think you’re an idiot." Han Fei was about to approach the elevator when the light in front of it flickered suddenly, as if there were a loose connection.
A faint smell of blood drifted past his nose, Han Fei instantly became vigilant, realizing that the surrounding temperature was dropping, something bad was indeed coming.
"Be careful!"
Han Fei shouted loudly, looking toward the right side of the emergency stairwell.
Everyone had previously used the left side of the stairwell, which the crew had cleared only on the left, while the entrance to the right side stairwell was piled with garbage and various discarded items, and signs forbidding passage were posted on the walls.
"Are you starting to play tricks again?" Bai Cha scoffed dismissively, "Best Supporting Actor getting into character?"
Han Fei stood still, not saying a word, his eyes intently fixed on the right side of the emergency stairwell.
Li Huang also felt something was off and asked softly, "Han Fei, did you see something?"
Before she could finish, debris blocking the right emergency passage fell to the ground.
As piles of garbage and miscellaneous items tumbled down, an arm covered in various paints stretched out from the right emergency passage.
"Is there really something?" Xiao Chen’s heart tightened, and he and Alin shrank behind Li Huang.
The stench and the smell of blood began to drift out, and the missing short security guard appeared, his face painted like a corpse and his body smeared with a large amount of artificial blood, creating an extremely gruesome appearance.
The lights near the elevator flickered on and off, and the short security guard’s arm twisted at a peculiar angle. He carried a knife, moving towards them like a piece of rusting machinery.
The temperature dropped lower and lower, and Han Fei’s bad premonition grew stronger.
"No way, no way? Even a dead body actor gets you this involved?" Bai Cha mercilessly mocked Han Fei; he was scared of ghosts but not of living people.
The short security guard was likely an NPC arranged by the crew. Such people, no matter how they acted, would not hurt themselves.
Thinking this, Bai Cha overcame his fear. He still stood at the front of the group, unflinching and unyielding.
"Let’s see what kind of information you can bring us," Bai Cha said as he wiped the sweat from his forehead, feigning composure.
The flickering of the overhead lights became more frequent, and the short security guard seemed to gradually adapt to his body, running faster and faster!
After the lights went out once more, all the actors saw a shadow sprinting rapidly in the darkness.
When the lights came on again, the short security guard had already charged up to Bai Cha!
The face, made up to look like a corpse, faintly displayed the word "dead" written in red paint. Without any hesitation, the short security guard aimed a knife at Bai Cha’s throat!
The sharp blade reflected Bai Cha’s distorted face from fright. Just as the knife was about to slit Bai Cha’s throat, someone kicked Bai Cha aside.
He narrowly avoided it, and the knife only grazed his face.
Blood Pearl dripped onto the ground. Bai Cha, touching the shallow cut on his cheek, finally came to his senses from the shock.
"The knife is real?!"
The face of the short security guard was almost entirely covered with the character for "dead." His eyes bloodshot, even a fool could see his murderous intent.
"Bleeding? Bleeding!" Xiao Chen, seeing that Bai Cha had almost been chopped by the knife, reacted even more than Bai Cha and turned to run towards the main building’s passage.
But he had only run halfway when he despairingly discovered that the door connecting the ward to the outside passage was locked; they were trapped here.
Bai Cha dared to be arrogant only in front of the crew members. When faced with an actual murderer, his mind was muddled, leaving only the thought of escape.
Looking at the short security guard’s corpse-like face, Bai Cha sat down on the ground and crawled backward, then he and Xiao Chen together slammed into the iron door, trying to leave.
But just at this critical moment, the lights in front of the elevator suddenly went out.
Losing the lights became the last straw that overwhelmed their sanity, as most normal people wouldn’t dare to stay in the dark with a murderer.
Everyone rushed backward, screaming towards the emergency exit, fearing that moving slowly would result in being slaughtered by the murderer.
Chaotic footsteps sounded, some people fell and quickly got up, those walking in front had all escaped, leaving only Han Fei, who was carrying a female corpse, behind.
"The two security guards are part of the crew, meant to guide the actors into the plot. They must have been in this building for a long time, and it’s unclear exactly when they came under attack," Han Fei said as he looked at the character for ’dead’ on the face of the shorter security guard, taking the initiative to move forward in the dark.
"If you can only attack me indirectly through others, then you probably won’t have a chance to win tonight," Han Fei said, griping the female corpse with one hand and no longer hiding his strength. He smiled in the dark, a stark contrast to his previous frail appearance. "My body hasn’t fully recovered, but it’s almost there."
The security guard holding a sharp knife rushed at Han Fei, completely driven by a murderous intent, as if he wanted to engrave the ’dead’ character on his own face onto Han Fei.
With a twisted expression, the security guard stabbed at Han Fei’s heart, but it was blocked by the female corpse prop.
The sharp knife penetrated the prop, and while the knife was still not withdrawn, Han Fei kicked at the security guard’s knee and then swung the female corpse prop, smashing it into the security guard’s face.
In his brief career, the shorter security guard had never been hit with a female corpse before. He fell backward, but quickly stood up again, as though a force in his mind was influencing him, making him subconsciously feel he should kill Han Fei at all costs.
Ordinary people would panic when faced with a knife-wielding robber, but Han Fei had seen too many similar scenes. Besides, he had a weapon in his hand, so he had no intention of running away.
Using the female corpse prop to block the knife, Han Fei found an opportunity to grapple with the security guard. His fighting skills were learned from Li Xue, and honed against Fierce Ghost through countless life-and-death battles.
Actually, it would have been very easy for Han Fei to disable the security guard, but since they were still shooting, he could only forcefully restrain the guard, hoping to help him regain his senses.
Latching onto the wrist of the shorter security guard holding the knife, Han Fei accidentally broke it. After the sharp knife fell, he threw the security guard over his shoulder to the ground, seeing numerous red handprints left by children on the guard’s back.
"There were the same marks on the back of Alin’s clothes before, but luckily we discovered them early."
Han Fei removed the shorter security guard’s jacket, and the guard’s resistance noticeably weakened.
He then took the security guard’s jacket and wiped away some of the ’dead’ characters on his face.
The originally fiercely resisting security guard gradually stopped struggling, lying on the ground with a livid face.
"This guy doesn’t have any clues on him either?"
Han Fei searched the security guard, finding a wearable mini camera and a cellphone specifically provided to the security guard by Tang Yi.
Turning on the cellphone, Han Fei saw the normal broadcast system, and a series of independent live streams, each with an unusually high popularity, and the one locked on Han Fei was ranked first.
"Everyone has their own dedicated live stream, plus a shared live stream. Tang Yi is playing big, huh?"
Holding the security guard’s cellphone, Han Fei never thought his first live stream would meet everyone in such a way.
