My ‘Healing’ Game
Chapter 302: Give the Song to the Butterfly

Chapter 302: Chapter 302: Give the Song to the Butterfly

Just overnight, the Security Company had undergone significant changes.

The entire building seemed to have been engulfed in flames, affecting even the buildings around the Security Company. All the ghosts and monsters were killed, creating a death zone that even ghosts avoided.

"Gesheng seems very angry, but this is actually good. The bigger the commotion it causes, the more likely Butterfly will think it destroyed the living pit on the fourth underground level."

Having escaped from Gesheng’s immediate presence and firmly pinned the blame onto Gesheng, Han Fei didn’t dare to stay at the Security Company any longer.

The elevator had been destroyed. He came to the window on the second floor, and just as he prepared to jump out, the ground, covered in curses and bloodstains, started to bulge slightly. A rustling sound was heard, soon followed by a black stone slowly emerging.

"Big Evil?"

A creature full of spikes and covered in blood-red patterns, a grotesque poison insect, rushed excitedly towards Han Fei.

"Player 0000, please note! You have been infected with Soul Poison. Please seek treatment immediately!"

Surviving the ordeal, Han Fei could feel Big Evil’s joy, but his life value did not allow him to make too many movements to celebrate.

Jumping down from the second floor with Big Evil, Han Fei leaned against the corner of the wall. Last night, he had arranged to meet his neighbors at midnight tonight.

But now that the time had come, there was no sight of the neighbors; it seemed they had also encountered trouble.

In Deep World, every street had its own terrifying ghosts and monsters. Aside from existences like Gesheng that were unspeakable, no "person" dared to wander recklessly.

"Let’s wait a bit longer." Han Fei couldn’t leave the game at the moment and had lost touch with his neighbors, making him feel extremely insecure.

Time ticked away second by second, and Han Fei grew increasingly uneasy. He didn’t know the source of this anxiety, but his heart was beating especially fast.

"I’d better find a place to hide," Han Fei signaled for Big Evil to follow him, but Big Evil was acting unusually. It was extremely excited, almost as if it was dancing. Its body’s blood-red patterns glaringly frightening: "What’s wrong with you?"

Stretching out his hand to touch Big Evil’s back, Han Fei received two system notifications.

"Player 0000, please note! Big Evil’s ability, Death Omen, has been successfully triggered! It has detected strong Death Intents on you. If nothing unexpected happens, you have only half an hour left to live!"

"You have been infected with Soul Poison. Please seek treatment..."

"Death Omen? A strong Death Omen has appeared on me?!" Han Fei stared at the exceptionally excited Big Evil and suddenly remembered the scene he had seen when he logged into the game.

In a city where the blood had congealed, a pair of eyes slowly opened and saw him!

"Only Gesheng remembers my scent; it knows I have come!"

Han Fei’s face twitched, and he was very decisive, grabbing Big Evil and running toward the direction of Death Building in his mind.

"To exit the game, I must complete a mission and stay for three hours. Big Evil detected a strong Death Omen on me. The system says I can only live for half an hour. That means Gesheng will likely arrive here in half an hour!"

Whenever it came to life and death, Han Fei’s brain worked incredibly fast.

"All the neighbors together are no match for Gesheng. Above a grudge is hatred, and above hatred is the unspeakable. Even if I return to the Happiness Residential Community, it would be worthless."

Han Fei’s thinking was crystal clear. Gesheng had locked onto him, and there was nowhere nearby to hide, so his only choice was to go to Death Building.

"Rather than sitting here waiting to die, I’d rather take a chance. Even if something happens to me, neither Butterfly nor Gesheng will have an easy time. At least this way, I can buy some time for Huang Ying and the police."

After long training in the Deep World, Han Fei could remain calm at all times, including when contemplating his own death.

If he couldn’t change the outcome of death, then he hoped he could die with some value.

Putting on the Beast Path Mask, Han Fei concealed his breath as he and Big Evil sprinted toward the location of the Death Building.

"The woman in the bridal gown agreed to meet me four days later at her house, but what if she isn’t at home? It would be even worse if only her husband was at home."

Han Fei now had no other choice; Gesheng’s appearance had disrupted Han Fei’s plans. However, to some extent, it had also completely disrupted Butterfly’s plans.

All three parties were now on the same starting line, and everything had been accelerated.

The Death Building was the most dangerous structure in the Yimin Street area. The closer he got to the Death Building, the more eerie and terrifying ghosts Han Fei encountered, many of which he had never seen before and could only avoid from a distance.

Han Fei now also discovered the second method of using Big Evil; the more excited it got, the more he should avoid that place and look less.

Everyone saw Big Evil as a symbol of disaster, but Han Fei treasured it like a gem.

His own heavy Death Intent had nothing to do with Big Evil; it was just acting on instinct.

This time, Han Fei was able to foresee danger in advance because of Big Evil’s ominous ability.

Even before Gesheng appeared, Han Fei had run a great distance. When he reached near the Death Building following the map left in his "brain sea" by the previous Building Chief, that bizarre Gesheng began to echo from afar.

"It’s coming!"

Han Fei’s nape tightened, he dared not look back and hurriedly quickened his pace.

Gesheng appeared suddenly, and it moved very fast; this time it seemed to be fixated on Han Fei, determined not to let him escape again.

Running with all his might, Han Fei no longer bothered to hide; he could already see the buildings at the end of the street.

Compared with other buildings, that whole cluster emitted a heavy Death Intent, shrouded in a faint black mist at its base. Han Fei could even feel the buildings calling him, hoping he would become a part of them.

"Player number 0000, please pay attention! You are about to enter the E-level Hidden Map—Death Building! The level difference exceeds fifteen levels! Please choose carefully!"

The system continued to provide prompts and warnings, something that had never happened before, which also indicated the danger and uniqueness of the Death Building.

In Han Fei’s mind flashed the map the previous Building Chief had drawn on the wall, with the Death Building specially marked with a red pen. This place was not only the most dangerous building in the district but also concealed his Memory Fragments!

If Han Fei could successfully enter the Death Building, then he might be able to see Fu Sheng’s Memory Fragments again.

"I know this place is very dangerous, but I now have no other choice!"

Han Fei was grateful that he had added all his Attribute Points to Physical Strength; if it were the old him, he couldn’t have made it here in half an hour.

With Gesheng just behind him, Han Fei began his final sprint, his mind empty of all but a tight grip on Big Evil.

As the piercing Gesheng exploded in his ears, he plunged headlong into the black mist.

"Player number 0000, please pay attention! You have entered the E-level Hidden Map—Death Building! Successfully triggered an E-level Hidden Quest—Death Curse!"
