Chapter 186: Kill Ma Manjiang

Chapter 186: Chapter 186: Kill Ma Manjiang

Yimin Private Academy had a large sports field with many fitness equipment; the school always did a great job on the surface.

"What did Zhang Guanxing come here for?"

The surroundings of the sports field were barren, with nothing to obstruct the view or places to hide, so rashly walking onto the field could likely get one discovered by Ma Manjiang.

Han Fei stopped in his tracks, aware that Zhang Guanxing, seeing Han Fei hadn’t followed, actually barked twice, seemingly urging him to continue forward.

"Do you want to show me something?"

Zhang Guanxing had turned into a monster with a human face and a dog’s body; he couldn’t speak but seemed to retain human thinking and his character from before.

Sticking close to the school’s perimeter wall, Han Fei took a risk and followed Zhang Guanxing across the field to that pile of fitness equipment.

Perhaps having smelled something, Zhang Guanxing suddenly picked up speed. His destination was clear, and he headed to the northeast corner of the fitness equipment.

In this inconspicuous corner, a girl, whose body seemed pieced together like fragments, was crying.

She was hugging her knees, curled up behind the last piece of fitness equipment, her body full of cracks, as if she would fall apart upon touch.

With her face buried in her knees, tears streamed down incessantly. She seemed unwilling to cry in front of others and, when she couldn’t hold back anymore, would run to a corner of the sports field to weep alone.

The bark of a dog was heard, as Zhang Guanxing, wagging his tail, circled the girl, occasionally nuzzling her arm with his head.

In this school, Zhang Guanxing was a stray dog everyone yelled at, but this girl, covered in cracks, seemed to treat him as a friend.

Zhang Guanxing wanted to cheer up the girl and performed with all his might, but she didn’t play along as she used to and continued to cry alone, not even lifting her head.

Making whining noises, Zhang Guanxing felt the girl’s pain and wanted to help her share it, but he was just a stray dog and couldn’t understand what was happening to her.

The louder his barking, the more painfully the girl cried; he intended to comfort her, but it only made her feel worse.

It might have been Zhang Guanxing’s bark that was too harsh for the girl at that moment, or perhaps his gentle nips that tugged at her wounds.

The silently weeping girl pushed Zhang Guanxing aside. Anxious, Zhang Guanxing kept barking, but as he did, the girl cried even harder.

"Let her be quiet for a while." Han Fei pressed down on Zhang Guanxing’s head, looking at the girl and Wild Dog in front of him, feeling a surreal sense of reality.

The girl with the cracked body was Wild Dog’s girlfriend, Chu Xia. In reality, Wild Dog Zhang Guanxing might have also sensed Chu Xia’s pain.

He wanted to help share Chu Xia’s pain, but he himself was a child lacking love; he didn’t know how to love and heal someone.

He was like a stray dog, unable to communicate with Chu Xia, trying hard to make her happy but ended up hurting both of them.

"Chu Xia was hurt by Ma Manjiang. Initially, Zhang Guanxing didn’t know about it; he just realized Chu Xia was unhappy, but his attempts at comfort only had the opposite effect in such times."

"Later, it must have been Jin Sheng who told Zhang Guanxing the truth, so Zhang Guanxing entered the school at night. He wanted to solve the problem, but in the end, he met his own death."

"For this complicated world, Zhang Guanxing indeed resembled a stray dog that had been through various sufferings, with nowhere to call home."

After restraining Zhang Guanxing to stop his reckless outcries, Han Fei approached the girl.

Her skin was full of cracks, and her body was fragmenting and falling apart.

As soon as Han Fei got near, the girl instinctively grabbed her backpack, using her hands to protect herself.

She was like a baby, terrified to the extreme, clutching everything around her to feel safe.

Chu Xia was a child who had truly suffered harm; her body was laced with cracks and could shatter at any moment.

One must not rashly comfort such a child, attempt to pry, or crudely seek to understand.

The shouting, although well-intentioned like Zhang Guanxing’s, could cause secondary psychological trauma to Chu Xia.

What they needed was company and support, a promise to stand with them no matter what and to provide a sense of security.

"I am a new teacher at the school, and no matter what happens, I will help you," Han Fei said softly. His nature wasn’t usually so tender, but to calm the girl, he could play this role.

"You don’t have to say anything now. If you feel scared or uncomfortable, you can come to me at any time." While communicating, Han Fei kept observing the other person.

Chu Xia’s cracked body represented her fragility, sensitivity, and pain at that moment.

She was in a state of extreme insecurity, with fear penetrating the pores of her body.

Han Fei didn’t want to press Chu Xia too hard and was always gently reaching out to her heart.

After about ten minutes, Chu Xia, who had been sobbing quietly, finally let out her pain loudly. She put down her backpack and swung her arms to wipe her tears, as if signaling for help with her body.

When Chu Xia lifted her head, Han Fei witnessed an even more shocking scene.

Below the girl’s cracked skin, lay chaos, fear, and inferiority, and amidst all these emotions, deep in her heart, was a pair of scissors radiating intense hatred.

A fragmented body, a barely beating heart, and a pair of sharp scissors embodying hatred.

Han Fei could guess why the hatred in Chu Xia’s heart took the form of scissors. This world was absurdly unbelievable, yet suffocatingly real.

"I didn’t find any weapons at the school, not even a chance to kill Ma Manjiang, but..." Han Fei fixated on the scissors in the girl’s heart, those hate-filled scissors were exceedingly sharp, with a murderous intent specifically targeting Ma Manjiang. It seemed those scissors were meant to kill Ma Manjiang!

"In reality, Chu Xia was hurt by Ma Manjiang, and the best way to punish him was to have Chu Xia step forward and identify the beast! So, in Jin Sheng’s memory, Chu Xia hid a weapon capable of killing Ma Manjiang!"

"But this weapon is embedded deep in Chu Xia’s heart. To pull it out and kill Ma Manjiang would inevitably cause her even greater harm."

The girl who was hurt wanted to punish the perpetrator, which meant that she had to tear open the wound in her heart again to retrieve the scissors.

In reality, Chu Xia hadn’t pulled out the scissors from her heart, which is why Ma Manjiang got the chance to harm more people, but Chu Xia was not to blame.

Ma Manjiang was associated with Butterfly. He had countless ways to toy with those children to death; the power between them was entirely unequal.

Everything made sense, reality and memory intertwined. Han Fei, before starting his mission as the Manager, could never have imagined the world through Jin Sheng’s eyes would look like this.
