Chapter 269: Chapter 247 Boss, We Kidnapped the Wrong Person
Li Chen’s eyes fluttered open, peering at Lin Yi, who was sound asleep, and he couldn’t help but smile, gently kissing her face.
In a drowsy state, Lin Yi awoke as well.
"Hmm," began Lin Yi, but before she could say more, Li Chen silenced her with a kiss, to which she enthusiastically responded.
Li Chen whispered with a slight smile in Lin Yi’s ear, "Baby, did you feel good last night?"
Remembering the previous night’s physical exertions, Lin Yi blushed and playfully started tapping on Li Chen’s body.
"It’s all because of you," she retorted.
Her actions, together with a seductive look in her eyes, nearly intoxicated Li Chen.
Without a second thought, Li Chen kissed Lin Yi again.
"Hmm, you want more?" Lin Yi asked with a flushed face.
"A round in the morning sets up a delightful day," Li Chen chuckled mischievously.
...
Finally, the morning battle concluded, and Li Chen and Lin Yi went downstairs for breakfast. Aunt Wang had returned and prepared breakfast, which allowed Li Chen to breathe a sigh of relief; thankfully, he didn’t have to eat the beautiful wife’s cooking.
As they ate, Aunt Wang stared at Lin Yi for a while before commenting, "Miss, you seem to have become much more beautiful."
"Really?" Lin Yi couldn’t resist touching her face, then glanced at Li Chen, only to catch him winking and making faces at her.
Blushing slightly, Lin Yi continued with her breakfast.
After the meal, Lin Yi, in a hurry, headed straight to the office. After sharing a kiss with Li Chen, she got in her car and drove off, while Li Chen decided to take a shower.
Afterward, feeling refreshed and knowing that issues in North America had been resolved, Li Chen planned to take a leisurely stroll as a bit of rest was always good.
Walking down Dawan Street, Li Chen roamed about casually eyeing the ladies when suddenly, a young man briskly walked past him. At that moment, a van sped towards them and screeched to a halt. The doors flung open, and several brawny men wearing black masks poured out and rushed in their direction.
Li Chen remained calm, standing still, while the young man who passed him froze for a moment, his face turning pale as he thought, Could they be coming to kidnap me?
The men in black moved with lightning speed—two heading straight behind Li Chen, while another tried to slip a black bag over his head.
"Zhou Shaoyu, let’s see how you’ll run this time!" they shouted as they firmly placed the black bag over Li Chen’s head!
Suddenly, Li Chen was plunged into darkness, still bewildered by the mention of Zhou Shaoyu. Damn it, they got the wrong person; I’m not Zhou Shaoyu.
Li Chen found the situation amusing—so even kidnappers can mistake their target. How did they ever survive in this line of work?
He put up no fight, and the two men holding his arms briskly escorted him to the van.
The abduction unfolded in mere seconds; shortly after overpowering Li Chen, he was bundled into the van, the doors slammed shut, and it sped off into the distance.
The young man who had walked by Li Chen stood there, his expression one of utter disarray.
Damn it, they abducted the wrong person?
This must be some kind of joke, right? I’m Young Master Zhou, after all. They mistook me for an ordinary passerby? Am I really not as handsome?
Unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable!
Zhou Shaoyu then took out his phone and made a call, "Uncle Da, I’ve been kidnapped."
Meanwhile, the van hurtled down the road with the kidnappers frequently looking back to ensure no one was following. Only when they were sure did they relax.
"Damn, with this job done, we’re hitting it big," one kidnapper laughed, the others joining in with glee. Handing over Young Master Zhou to the client would bring a hefty reward.
"Who would have thought, despite all their precautions, the Zhou Family would still fail to keep him safe. Haha, Zhou Shaoyu, venturing out alone was like walking right into our trap."
One kidnapper taunted Li Chen.
But Li Chen remained silent.
The head kidnapper, sitting in the passenger seat, casually lit a cigarette, "Stop the chatter. Once we deliver the goods and get paid, we’re out of here. We can’t afford to get involved in the strife between these two families."
"Yes," replied the kidnappers in unison.
The van quietened down, but it wasn’t long before one kidnapper sensed something off. Wait, why is Zhou Shaoyu so quiet? Did we apply too much force and accidentally kill him?
If that was the case, it would be a terrible loss—no money and a heap of trouble.
"Mazi, take off the bag quickly, man. Could Young Master Zhou have suffocated?" prompted one kidnapper.
This alarmed the others, hell, Young Master Zhou was money personified—he couldn’t die.
Thus, a kidnapper reached forward to remove the black bag from Li Chen’s head, revealing him to the bewildered criminals.
Huh?
A kidnapper, eyeing Li Chen, paused in confusion—this man didn’t look like Young Master Zhou.
The others were also stunned; the person in the photo they received was definitely not this man.
Li Chen, seeing the dumbstruck kidnappers, gave them a broad grin, "Hello there."
After a three-second pause, one kidnapper snapped back to reality, screaming at their leader in the passenger seat, "Boss, we got the wrong person!!"
"Shit~~~"
The tires screeched violently against the tarmac as the van came to a stop.
