"Qianqian." Li Chen smiled slightly.

"Brother Cheen." Seeing it was Li Chen, Wang Qianqian called out, but her complexion seemed rather haggard, and her eyes were red, as if she had been crying.

"You’re her boyfriend, aren’t you? Take good care of her," the doctor said to Li Chen before leaving.

Li Chen turned to look at the elderly woman lying on the bed, now in a peaceful sleep. It was possible she might wake up, or she might never wake up again.

"Let me take a look," Li Chen said softly.

Then, he reached out and felt the old woman’s pulse. After examining her condition, he frowned deeply.

The situation was worse than he had expected. Grandma Wang Qianqian was not suffering from any specific illness. On the contrary, her body was healthy, but due to her advanced age, her organs were beginning to fail and some functions could not keep up. It was a natural occurrence, but this very natural occurrence made it less likely to save her.
