Li Chen looked over, and who else could it be but Yu Yueying?

"What a coincidence, Officer Yu," Li Chen said with a chuckle.

Yu Yueying approached with a group of police officers, all of whom looked up to Li Chen with admiration. This guy was just too fierce, and some of the officers who had experienced Linchuan Mountain before even wore a proud expression — they had fought alongside him.

"Without you this time, who knows how things would have turned out," Yu Yueying said with a slight smile as she walked up.

At this moment, Yu Yueying was dressed in a police uniform. Her graceful figure and the curves that the uniform outlined made her look both majestic and striking.

"Haha, it’s no big deal," Li Chen said with a smile on his face. "Just as long as you remember our agreement."

"Agreement, what agreement?" Yu Yueying was confused.

Li Chen squirmed a bit: "Didn’t we say last time, I help you once, and then you let me, touch once."

Yu Yueying was speechless, yet she couldn’t help but find it both funny and annoying inside. Why was this jerk always thinking about taking advantage of her?

"Sure," Yu Yueying said with a smile, immediately making Li Chen’s eyes light up. Darn, she really is beautiful when she smiles in her police uniform.

"So," Li Chen said, chuckling while reaching out his hand, looking as if he was about to go through with it.

But suddenly, Yu Yueying stepped back: "But our agreement was that it only counts if I ask for your help. This time it wasn’t me asking, you volunteered, so it doesn’t count."

Li Chen looked sullen, knowing Yu Yueying would never agree.

Seeing Li Chen’s expression, Yu Yueying smiled slightly: "Don’t worry, there will be other opportunities, just keep it up."

The two chatted with the closeness of old friends, which did not surprise the veteran officers; they were all aware of Li Chen’s terrifying abilities and knew his assistance could make some cases remarkably easy.

However, for some of the newcomers in the police force, this seemed quite odd, especially for the young officers who idolized Yu Yueying as a goddess. They found it utterly unforgivable.

His fist clenched, and then Su Yang strode in their direction.

"Yu Ying, there’s some facial compositing work that needs to be done with a few suspects. Can you take care of it?" Su Yang said to Yu Ying.

Yu Yueying nodded, "I’ll be right there."

Once Yu Yueying left, Su Yang’s smile immediately vanished, replaced with an extremely cold demeanor.

"Who are you?" Su Yang asked Li Chen coldly.

However, Li Chen did not respond and simply turned and walked away. What’s with that icy face talking to me—do I owe you money or something?

"Hey, you stop right there!" Su Yang was momentarily stunned, but his anger flared up instantly!

Even though he was new to the force, his superiors had high hopes for him and his promotion seemed imminent. Moreover, the female officers found him quite attractive because he was good-looking.

Outstanding abilities, handsome, and a policeman to boot, Su Yang was certain about a smooth future. But he had fallen for Yu Yueying and wouldn’t give up until he won her over. Despite her indifferent attitude and the elusive distance she maintained, it didn’t discourage Su Yang; he was convinced persistence would eventually change Yu Yueying’s heart.

But today, he discovered that Yu Yueying was chatting so happily with a strange man that he couldn’t help but burn with jealousy.

His right hand shot forward, attempting to grab Li Chen’s shoulder, but Li Chen suddenly turned around, his figure shifted, and with both hands, he seized the wrist and instead ended up grasping his arm.

Startled, Su Yang moved his feet, trying to break free, but Li Chen applied strength to his grip, causing Su Yang to abandon the thought due to the intense pain.

"As a police officer, you should have the concept of serving the people," Li Chen relaxed his hand, and Su Yang stumbled back several steps, while Li Chen remained indifferent, "Attacking people recklessly like this, I could file a complaint against you!"

"You." Su Yang was livid, "A commoner with your skills? I’m starting to suspect your identity, please come with me to the station."

"Why can’t a commoner be skilled?" Li Chen said with disdain, "Are only you cops allowed to set fires while citizens can’t even light a lamp?"

"Also, don’t blame others just because you’re jealous. You have to rely on yourself to pursue a woman." Li Chen turned away, no longer bothering with him.

But Su Yang, further incensed and embarrassed, took a step forward, "You stop right there!"

This command immediately drew the attention of the nearby police officers to them, and Yu Yueying, who was working not far away, also noticed the two men, her expression changing instantly.

Su Yang pulled out handcuffs, aiming directly at Li Chen, but Li Chen’s figure had already moved beside him, swiftly seizing his wrist and, snatching the handcuffs, locked them onto his own wrist.

"You!" Su Yang fumed, but Li Chen had already moved behind him, grabbed his other hand, and with a click, snapped the handcuffs shut.

"With skills like that, how can you even be a cop?" Li Chen dusted off his hands, "With your fine and tender skin, I think there’s a profession that suits you well, and you don’t need any real abilities for it. Be a gigolo, what do you think?"

"If you’re capable, let me go!" Su Yang roared.

"Tsk tsk tsk, it was you who wanted to cuff me in the first place," Li Chen shrugged, "What do you mean let you go? You think if I let you go, you could beat me? A mouse can kill an elephant? You can turn the sky upside down?"

"What’s going on here? Su Yang, what are you doing?" Yu Yueying hurried over, immediately glaring at Su Yang with fury, "Why are you harassing him?"

Hearing Yu Yueying speak in his defense nearly pushed Su Yang to the brink, "I’m the one being humiliated here! We’re colleagues, and yet you side with an outsider."

"Li Chen, are you alright?" asked Yu Yueying with concern.

Li Chen smiled secretly to himself, feeling triumphant, yet he said calmly, "I’m fine, it just seems my clothes got a bit torn."

"Su Yang, why do you always like to trouble others?" Yu Yueying was also angry. Was this man sick? Every time she was enjoying a conversation with someone else, he would cause trouble for them.

"I, Yu Ying, it’s not like that," Su Yang tried to explain, but found himself at a loss for words.

Li Chen cut in, "You’re just upset because I look better than you, trying to intimidate me into staying away from Officer Yu so you can eliminate a rival, isn’t that right?"

With that, Li Chen struck a chord in Su Yang’s heart, yet Su Yang didn’t know how to refute it.

"I, I..." Su Yang was lost for words.

Yu Yueying said coldly, "Who I like is none of your business, and from now on, it would be best if you stayed away from me."

After finishing, she didn’t bother with Su Yang anymore and walked away; Su Yang looked toward Li Chen, only to see him shrug and then turn away as well.

Su Yang was on the verge of tears.
