Chapter 114: Chapter 114: Coming as a Guest and Taking Over the Master Bedroom?
Unlike the smiles demanded by the scripts on the big screen, this smile, was one that Bo Yan offered from the depths of his heart, captivating, impossible to look away from. Bo Yan lowered his gaze to her eyes, his fingers brushing his own face, "Do you think it’s pretty?"
Yuran felt as though struck by lightning, hurriedly averting her gaze, with a hint of red on her ears. She hastily took the bowl from which Bo Yan had been eating porridge and walked towards the kitchen, "Quite handsome."
Watching her walk away with that regretful expression, Bo Yan placed his finger on his lips, his smile growing.
Once in the kitchen, Yuran only felt as if she had lost face completely; it wasn’t that she had any thoughts about Bo Yan, it was just that she felt slightly embarrassed.
She had seen plenty of handsome guys, but Bo Yan had managed to bewitch her.
Indeed... it was baffling.
Staying too long in the kitchen would only reveal more of her discomfort, so Yuran once again stepped out. Bo Yan was now reclining on the sofa, his eyes half-closed, and she couldn’t tell if he was asleep, his breathing even and calm.
Was he that tired?
Yuran thought for a moment, then walked over and stood beside him, reaching out to poke his shoulder, "Seventh Brother, Seventh Brother..."
Bo Yan made a faint sound, very soft, as if he could barely open his eyelids. Yuran took out her phone, "Seventh Brother, should I call Xie Cheng to pick you up, or do you need to rest here?"
Although having him rest here was the last thing she wanted, it also didn’t seem right to send him away, especially considering her godmother’s feelings; it wouldn’t be proper to behave in such a manner.
However, Bo Yan suddenly stood up, striding towards Yuran’s bedroom with familiar ease, "I’ll rest here for the night. Sorry for the trouble, but you’ll need to sleep in the guest room."
Yuran stared at his retreating figure, then the closed door: "..."
I mean, come on, that’s a bit much!
Inviting yourself over as a guest and then taking over the master bedroom?
Forget it, forget it, not going to make a fuss. Grinding her teeth, Yuran went back to the guest room, cursing Bo Yan the whole night until she fell into a groggy sleep.
...
The next morning, as she was about to go to school, Yuran thought Bo Yan would have left already. But as she headed out, she saw his shoes; she glanced towards her bedroom and, after a moment’s thought, left a note for Bo Yan before hurrying out the door.
When Yuran returned to the classroom, she was greeted by a chorus of congratulatory voices, everyone bustling with words of celebration.
Yuran appreciated everyone’s support, sincerely thanking them all the way.
All of a sudden, a classmate seemed to remember something and said to Yuran, "Yuran, some students from other departments were looking for you earlier; they seemed to need something. We told them you weren’t here, but they might come back later."
"Yeah, they were quite aggressive about it, very impressive," another classmate continued.
Aggressive?
Yuran pondered whether she had unknowingly offended someone recently. After some thought, finding no such incident, she gave thanks and returned to her seat.
She barely warmed her seat when she heard someone at the door calling out, "Is Yuran here? Please, come out for a moment!"
Though polite words were used, the tone was far from courteous. Her classmates looked over worriedly. A classmate whispered to Yuran, "That’s them, the ones who came looking for you earlier."
"Thanks."
Classmate, "Hey, no problem. It’s nothing serious, and they seemed pretty intimidating when they were looking for you, so just be careful out there."
"Got it!"
Yuran stepped out and followed the few individuals to a long corridor below a bridge within the school, where she then asked, "I don’t believe we’ve met. What do you need me for?"
The three girls seeking her out were all dressed lavishly, clearly from wealthy backgrounds. At Yuran’s question, one of the girls spoke up.
