Chapter 113: Making Trouble Silently
Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Making Trouble Silently
After being bewildered for a moment, she stared at Bo Yan’s face. "Then what, how should it be?"
Bo Yan didn’t speak; he casually placed the porridge on the low table and took out his cellphone from his pocket, tapping away for quite a while before placing it in front of Yuran.
Yuran didn’t understand his intention and leaned in to take a look.
To her surprise, the lyrics to "Hero" were on his phone.
Yuran grew even more puzzled and looked up at the face so close to hers. "Qi ge, what does this mean?"
"Did you write the musical score?"
Yuran: "Mmh, I wrote it."
Bo Yan: "Oh~~ so it turns out you are the one who could compose the score to these lyrics."
The way he said his "oh" and stretched the last syllable of the word was very long.
No, Yuran always felt like she heard some other implication in these words, blinked, and asked, "Qi ge, is there a problem with this song?"
Bo Yan shook his head. "Of course not."
This statement was not convincing at all because the look he gave Yuran was inscrutable, and she couldn’t understand it, nervously shifting her gaze away. "I’m going to watch ’Hero’."
This actually surprised Bo Yan, who then started eating his porridge again. "Hmm, would you like to critique me?"
"?" Yuran was confused.
She had meant to change the subject, so why did he always manage to steer it back? She thought with a headache, not knowing how to continue, but Bo Yan went on himself, "Oh, it seems you have quite a few criticisms."
Yuran hurried to explain, "No, not at all."
Considering she’d been fumbling around in the industry for almost a decade, why did she always feel at a disadvantage in front of this man? It was simply unreasonable!
This body’s subservience to Bo Yan was so overwhelming that it didn’t give her time to react.
Bo Yan’s gaze was indifferent as he watched Yuran intently, and although she couldn’t grasp his intentions, she plucked up the courage to explain. "Qi ge, do you not trust in your own acting?"
Bo Yan: "I am very confident!"
Yuran: "..." She had intended to turn the tables on someone else, but unexpectedly, it was thrown back at her by his narcissism.
But no, that wasn’t the point. The real question was, why had Bo Yan come to her place? Before, he seemed to do everything to drive her out of any corner he could appear in, but now, things were going against the grain.
What had he gone through?
Was he really so troubled?
As Bo Yan looked on, with no change in his demeanor, he watched the expressions shift on the girl’s face. He had sensed the changes in Yuran, but now, she was absolutely certain the person before him was not Yuran.
The Yuran he knew.
However, who she actually was, that truth, only she could tell him.
Interesting, isn’t it?
"Hm? Can’t make an evaluation? Is it too hard?" Bo Yan pressed on, seemingly determined not to let the matter rest until she spoke.
Yuran, with a headache, sat on the carpet at the edge of the sofa with her knees drawn up and spoke very honestly. "Qi ge, ’Hero’ is your first time acting in a historical drama, right?"
"Hmm, correct."
"It’s somewhat discordant to me, it feels somewhat out of place." At first, Yuran couldn’t pinpoint why, but after hashing it out, she seemed to grasp it.
Bo Yan slightly curved his lips. "Hmm, let’s hear it."
Yuran tilted her head to look at him and counted on her fingers, "Probably because I’ve seen too many of your modern films."
Bo Yan: "..."
Seeing him at a loss for words, Yuran started to laugh, a halo of light playing on her face, lively and sly. Bo Yan’s lips curved just for a moment in a fleeting smile, like sunlight glittering on snow, captivating, and Yuran stared, slightly startled.
