My Favorite Game Followed Me! -
Chapter 487
“These items are powerful!” Torban exclaimed while examining the items that Anton had placed on the table, which was in the center of the extra room he had designated as the treasure room.
“And extremely expensive!” Torbin added.
“I don’t know how expensive they are, and since I will be delving into the twentieth floor of the Dungeon of Balathar a lot till I complete the number of quests that will rank me up so I can delve deeper, this room will be filled with these kinds of items,” Anton told the two dwarves.
The two dwarven brothers gasped when they heard which floor Anton was diving from.
“If people learn that you’re just keeping your valuable treasures here, there will be attempts to steal them, and we might not be enough to guard them,” Torban said.
“Then we just don’t publicize them. After a few weeks, if you feel that you two are not enough, then we’ll hire some more people. However, to be honest with you, these items are not valuable enough to me that it’s worth risking your lives. If robbers came and you think that you’re not powerful enough to defend these junks, just let them steal these items. I’m only keeping them since my father will arrive soon, together with some of my family members, and I want my father to check these items and distribute them to people.”
“Will your family stay here?” Torbin asked quietly.
“Of course not! This house is much too small. Once my father arrives, we’ll buy a manor. If you two do a good job, I will tell my father to keep you in the new mansion. I’ll probably keep this house to give to some family members since this didn’t cost me too much. Just around three thousand gold coins,” Anton said absently.
What Anton didn’t know was, when the two dwarves heard the cost of the house, they both gulped. He did notice the flabbergasted expression of the dwarves.
“What?” Anton asked.
“Lord Anton, three thousand gold coins is a huge amount of wealth!” Torbin exclaimed.
“It is? I earned ten times that in a single dive on the twentieth floor of the dungeon. Since I’m planning to dive deeper, I’ll probably earn more coins,” Anton said with a clueless expression.
It was just a front. Anton knew he earned coins extremely fast, even without the dungeon diving. The fact that he could create enchanted items and could show movies and shows meant that he would not lack coins. Ever since he transmigrated to this world, that was one thing he didn’t lack, and he was extremely grateful about that.
Torbin just shook his head, and then the three of them left the treasure room, which Anton didn’t even lock.
The three then heard that Ronia and Lisa had returned from the market. Anton and the dwarves went to the kitchen, curious about the maids' capabilities in the kitchen, but when they arrived there, the ladies shooed them out. Anton did see that the ladies bought a lot more things they needed to make sure that the kitchen was fully functional.
The two dwarves then told Anton that they would check the vicinity house so they would know the details and plan the guarding of the house accordingly. It appeared that hearing the fact that Anton would be purchasing a large manor or mansion after his father arrived made the dwarves excited. They probably wanted to prove their capabilities so that Anton’s father would hire them as well for the manor.
Anton went to his room and wasted several hours browsing the internet. He didn’t level his ladder barbarian since he would do so once he was inside the dungeon the next day. Soon, one of the maids called him.
When he arrived at the dinner table, he saw that there was only one plate set on the table.
“Why only one plate?” Anton asked Lisa.
“I’m sorry, Lord Anton. Are you expecting any guests?” the maid asked.
“No. Oh, I understand. I’m just an adventurer and not really an Ormundan noble, so I’m expecting all of you to join me. Go ahead and call Torban and Torbin, and call Ronia as well.
At first, Anton thought that he would have a problem making the two guards and the two maids understand that he didn’t expect such silly things as noble etiquette, but he was mistaken. The four people simply joined him. When Torban saw his confused face, the dwarf explained.
“Your behavior is not rare, Anton. A lot of powerful adventurers behave the same way,” Torban said, who returned to calling him, as just Anton, which he preferred anyway.
Torbin and the two maids nodded with Torban’s explanation about the behavior of adventurers. While they were eating, Anton conversed with the four people about the daily lives of the people of the kingdom of Ormunda. He told them that he came from the continent of Rendindura and that his country didn’t exist anymore due to it being conquered by the Undead Coalition.
The four sympathized with him, but his talks made the conversation at the table flow freely. The dwarves told the maids that Anton was planning to purchase a large mansion once his father arrived. That meant they had better prove their capabilities so that Anton’s father would continue to hire them for the mansion. Just like the dwarves, the statement made the two women excited.
Anton then informed everyone that he would be delving into the dungeon the next day. He told them that he would be gone for at least three days. The dwarves promised him that his house would be protected, and the maids promised him that they would make sure that the house and the grounds were clean. After that, Anton went to his room, took a bath using mana water, then entered his Diablo II system to level up his ladder barbarian.
After several hours, Anton’s barbarian leveled to thirty. He went to sleep soon after. When he woke up, he ate a quick breakfast provided by Lisa and Ronia, and all of the people in the house joined him at the dinner table. He reiterated to everyone that he would leave for the dungeon, so once breakfast was over, Anton left his house and went to the dungeon’s location.
The guild staff was surprised when Anton requested to dive into the dungeon again. When the receptionist saw his surprise, the man explained that normally, a difficult dive like the twentieth floor, the divers would rest for several days and sometimes weeks before they dove the dungeon again.
Anton then told the guild staffer that the twentieth dungeon was way below his capabilities and was only doing it to complete the one hundred gold-level quest so he could upgrade his rank and start delving into deeper dungeons.
The guild staffer nodded his understanding. As Anton had already learned, his situation wasn’t unique, so the moment he told it to any of the Adventurer Guild’s staff, they would understand and behave accordingly. The man gave him the portal key for the twentieth floor, and without further ado, he headed directly to the dungeon gate.
When he entered it, he was surprised to see that the biodome had changed. Instead of the ancient labyrinth that he had dealt with the two times he cleared the twentieth floor, the floor was now a forest.
Anton knew that it didn’t matter. It was still the twentieth floor, which was under leveled compared to his power. He summoned all of his summons, and he even included the Assassin’s Shadow Master, the Necromancer’s Clay Golem, and the Druid’s Oak Sage. He then commanded everyone to decimate the dungeon monsters. Of course, he didn’t forget to take note of the loot that would drop from the mob because they were important to Anton.
