My Favorite Game Followed Me! -
Chapter 482
“I’m sorry, miss. I got hungry while waiting. I didn’t know when somebody would arrive, so I took the time to eat. Would you like to join me?” Anton invited the beautiful lady to join him in eating a late lunch.
“No, thank you. I apologize for making you wait. My name is Elianah, and I will be handling your transaction today. How can the guild help you?” the elven guild staff said.
Anton hastily stored the plate and utensils that he was using to eat in his inventory and invited the elven lady to sit.
“I must say, Mr. Sunder, your enchanted item made this booth extremely comfortable,” Elianah said while looking at the Frozen Orb air.
“Please call me Anton. I made this enchanted item. If you want one, I can sell you one,” Anton simply replied.
The beautiful elf looked intrigued and told Anton that once their business was concluded, she would like to purchase one of his Frozen Orb air conditioners.
“The reason I requested a guild staff is that I wanted the guild to sell the mana stones that I’ve collected on the twentieth floor of the dungeon. Not only that, I want to submit several gold-level quests that I managed to complete delving the said floor,” Anton told the elf.
“We’ll be happy to handle this business for you. I assume you already know the guild’s rate? How many mana stones will you be selling?“
“I will be selling eleven medium mana stones and one high-level mana stone. I also manage to collect enough quest items that I can submit around thirteen completed gold-level quests.”
“Did you complete the twentieth floor? Based on our records, you entered the dungeon yesterday,” said the elf, who looked startled at the amount of mana stones that Anton was planning to sell.
Anton confirmed to Elianah that he did complete the floor, which was easily verifiable through the portal key that he used, which he returned to the lady. He also handed the mana stones to the elf and the quest items. Elianah noted the details on her notebook and gave Anton a receipt for the items that he gave her.
“The exchange can be done in an hour. Are you willing to wait?” Elianah asked, and Anton simply nodded briefly, indicating to the lady guild staffer that the private booth was comfortable.
The elven lady simply nodded and left. In the meantime, Anton reviewed the details of his stats. He had forgotten that when he reached the maximum level for his ladder assassin, twenty percent of its dexterity was transferred to him.
Anton knew that his stats were becoming extremely robust and wondered if the stats would be enough to push his rank to the Supreme level. In his opinion, it would not, since his understanding of magic remained the same. He knew that he would only consider himself reaching the next rank once he gained a deep understanding of his spell casting that his spells would become increasingly effective.
Nevertheless, he was satisfied with his gains. After reviewing his stats, he thought of leveling up his barbarian, but he guessed that Anton wouldn’t have enough time, so he decided to just browse the internet.
Soon, Elianah returned.
“I brought the Adventurer’s Guild bank card. This card contained the total amount of coins that you’ve earned through selling the mana stones. That meant the card now has a total of twenty-one thousand gold coins. You can withdraw the coins from any of the adventurer’s guild branches anywhere in the world or any financial institution in the Ormunda Kingdom. I also submitted your completed quests.”
Anton accepted the golden card that Elianah gave him. The card looked like a credit or debit card from Earth, but to be honest, he still preferred the actual currency. He guessed that the card was convenient, but due to his insecurities about kingdoms, countries, or cities in this world, he planned to withdraw all the gold coins and just store them in his inventory.
After their guild business was concluded, Anton sold a sculpture of Frozen Orb air conditioner to the elf adventurer guild staff, then said goodbye. He wanted to return to the main city, withdraw his gold coins from the guild then purchase a house that he could stay in.
Anton rode one of the public carriages that was parked nearby back to the main city and told the driver to bring him to the nearest property agent. He didn’t know how many coins he would need to purchase a property, but Anton was guessing that what he had would be enough. He still planned to delve into the dungeon probably non-stop, until he completed the one hundred gold-level quest to level up his adventurer guild rank.
He wanted to dive much deeper so he could challenge himself, and the only way for him to do that was to rank up. Elianah informed him that once he reached the Diamond rank, he could dive down to the eightieth floor of the Dungeon of Balathar.
What it all meant was that, since he would be diving the dungeon almost non-stop, he would probably earn an enormous amount of gold coins. He thought that it would be truly impractical for him to purchase all the things that he wanted using gold coins. He decided that he would try to get used to using the adventurer guild bank card, and if worse came to worst, like the kingdom or the guild getting destroyed, rendering the card useless, it was easy enough for him to start from scratch and earn coins.
Anton did want to earn a humongous amount of coins since once his father returned, he planned to give the majority of it to him, so they could purchase an estate in the kingdom. He didn’t know how many people his father would be bringing back with him, but what he knew was, he already considered Selena, Norma, and Belue’s family his family and wanted to welcome them in a comfortable manor that they could call their own.
At first, he thought that he would have to slave away his days creating enchanted items to sell to earn the coins, but he now realized that dungeon delving would allow him to gather the coins that he would need much faster.
The carriage driver told him that they had reached one of the prominent property agencies in the kingdom. After he paid the man, Anton exited the carriage and saw a huge building reminiscent of one of Earth’s downtown office buildings. He felt a little weird because of the feeling of mismatch.
To be honest, if Anton continued their family business of showing movies in a cinema, because of the diversity and advancement of the culture of the kingdom of Ormunda, the movies, including the urban and science-fiction ones would be much more easily accepted by the citizens of Ormunda, but he didn’t want to continue that business for now. He was a little traumatized by the behavior of the Supreme Wizard, who wanted to enslave or kill him because of his auras, so now, he was wary of showing his system to new people.
He felt that becoming a dungeon diver would be better for earning coins and gathering power. His father might even join him in delving into the dungeons.
Anton approached one of the people manning one of the front desks.
“How can I help you, sir?” The man behind the desk asked.
“I need help in purchasing a property in the kingdom,” Anton answered the man, whose smile became wider.
