Flint swung his axe at the spider’s body while defending himself from its multiple arms using his shield, but to Anton, it looked like the dwarf was swatting dogs. Every time he bashed a spider, it would stumble back, and if it was not dead yet, it would rush towards the dwarf again.

Norman was using his great sword to push several spiders off of him, and due to how huge his weapon was, he effectively avoided the spiders’ attack by swinging his sword around, and the spiders would stumble back to avoid being hit.

The fact was that, due to how fast Flint and Norman’s attack speed was, the spiders were outclassed. After several minutes, every spider was dead.

Curiously, Flint tagged each one of the spiders, including the ones that were killed by Ariana.

Ariana saw the questioning look on Anton’s face.

“The alchemist in the kingdom would want to purchase the venom glands.”

Since Anton didn’t know what to do, he just watched the three harvest the venom glands from the spider, but he did switch his aura from Fanaticism to Prayer to make sure that everyone was in top condition and after he saw that his mana was not decreasing anymore, Anton switched to the Vigor aura to make sure that everyone had full stamina. The three adventurers felt the tiredness leaving their bodies, and they looked at Anton gratefully.

Anton saw that removing the venom glands was easy enough, or the three just made it look easy, but it was a bit gory. If he was going to do something like harvest a body part from a monster, Anton would just use his Telekinesis spell instead of touching them with his hands.

After all the venom glands were harvested, Norman put them in a bag then they all waited for the spiders to disappear. Unfortunately, there were no mana stones in this group.

“Even with no mana stone, we still earn a bunch of coins because of the glands, and it was one of the easiest fights I have ever experienced,” Flint said.

“Yeah! I remember the first time we entered the second floor, we ran from six spiders,” Norman said.

“I think with Andrew’s magic, we can even try the third floor! There we could really earn a good amount of coins and finally upgrade our gears,” Ariana said.

“But Andrew said that he’ll only join us this one time,” Norman said, and the three looked at Anton.

“Fine, I’ll join for a second delve to tackle the third floor once we're done on this floor,” Anton told them, and the three adventurers smiled.

Since everyone still felt as fresh as when they started the delve because of Anton’s aura, they continued, filled with excitement.

At first, Anton thought that he would be bored with nothing to do, but if he was being honest, observing how the three fights, even though it was considered a beginner's delve, he was learning. He had to admit that his fights had no strategy. If he sees monsters, he would just cast his Diablo II spells at them until all of the monsters were dead. Anton knew that that strategy only worked because of how powerful his spells were. If he were fighting with something powerful enough that he would need to strategize, Anton knew that he would have learned to but up until then, all of his enemy encounters were straightforward.

The next set of enemies the four encountered were goblins. There were ten of them, and three of them were riding wolves. The goblins were green in color, and the wolves that the three of them were riding looked like the typical forest wolves. The goblins' weapons were swords and spears.

The fours’ strategy was truly simple. Flint and Norman would run ahead to engage the enemy, and Ariana would shoot at those enemies who ran past the two to target her and Anton. Anton looked like an idle observer, doing nothing but watching the three fight, but everyone there knew that because of Anton’s magic, they were able to fight to their heart’s content with no worries since they knew that with the power they were wielding at that moment due to Anton’s buff, they would easily defeat the enemies and if they get wounded, they would be healed immediately. Not only that, once the fight ends, the energy they expended would be restored, refreshing everyone’s stamina.

“If you become our permanent group member, I’m certain that in no time, we would reach the mythic rank and probably become one of the wealthiest adventurers here in the kingdom,” Ariana told Anton while aiming her bow at any enemies that went past Flint and Norman.

“Unfortunately, I couldn’t do that. I’m just waiting for my father to arrive, and once he’s here, my next step will be decided by him,” Anton said.

Of course, it wasn’t the whole truth, but just an excuse that he said to the elf.

Once all the goblins were dead, Flint tagged the three wolves and immediately started skinning them for their pelts. When the goblins’ corpses disappeared, Flint, Norman, and Ariana were overjoyed to see another mana stone appear.

“We’re going to be rich!” Norman exclaimed.

Their fights only lasted for around five to ten minutes, but the distance between them was a lot longer than Anton expected. They had to walk around thirty to forty minutes before they encountered another group.

Anton could feel the extreme excitement that the three adventurers were feeling and knew that they didn’t want to waste time since their time with him was limited. They wanted to complete the floor as soon as possible, so they could tackle the third floor, which would allow them to earn a lot more gold. Apparently, with enough funds, they could upgrade their gears, and with more powerful gears, they could undertake tougher missions and deeper dungeon floors that would allow them to earn more gold coins.

While they were walking, Ariana told Anton that once she saved enough coins, she could purchase an arrow skill from the elven quarters that sells them, and that would make her versatility in battle grow.

Anton saw Norman looking at the lantern that he and Ariana were carrying.

“How long does your enchanted lantern last?” Norman asked, and Anton simply answered “months”.

“Once the mana in its storage is empty, you can hire even a novice wizard to cast spells on it, and the spellcasting will fill its mana storage with mana, then you can use it for months again. It’s a simple enchanted item. Doesn’t the kingdom have the same kind of enchanted items?”

“You can purchase a Light Stone from the magic store for one gold coin, but it will only last for eight hours. For beginner adventurers like us, it wasn’t worth it. Of course, there are other enchanted items that you can purchase that will provide light, but those are truly costly,” Ariana said.

Anton understood since he had sold his enchanted items for a lot of coins to the merchant Rimande and knew that the amount that the merchant paid was probably less than half of what Rimande could sell them for.

The four kept walking, and this time, after an hour, they hadn’t encountered any new enemies.

“Why are there no monsters?” Anton asked.

“It could happen. We may need to walk some more before we encounter them,” Ariana told him.

They had to walk for another forty minutes before they encountered their next enemies, which were kobolds again. There were thirteen of them, and their group made short work of killing them. Norman almost fainted when another mana stone appeared, which was going to be their third, and they had only started with the floor.
