Chapter 323: Chapter 230 Leave Your and Dudu’s Future to Me
“You’re still in contact with him?!”
Su Nian was confused, “Why can’t I be in contact with him? Hand it over!”
Seeing her struggle to turn over with that round belly, Shen Hanxiu a bit unwillingly handed over the phone.
Is this woman stupid? Anyone with eyes could see that Su Yuecheng used to be interested in her!
“Uncle Cheng?”
On the other end, Su Yuecheng cut to the chase, “Have you been in touch with Ziyan?”
“Yeah, we were together during the day! What’s up?”
“Oh, nothing, I’m back, just got off the plane, thinking of visiting her.”
Su Nian smelled something fishy, “Oh ho ho… Just her, not even dropping by to see me?”
“… Sure, you’re together right?”
Su Nian fell silent for a moment, then tentatively said, “Yanyan might be busy tomorrow, she’s going on a blind date.”
Su Yuecheng’s brow furrowed from the other end: “A blind date? Where at?”
“What, you’re planning on showing up to whisk her away?”
Su Yuecheng didn’t avoid the topic and, after a few seconds of silence, nodded, “Mm.”
He’d come back this time to fight for it, regardless of that secret. He just wanted to have her.
Without Dudu and her this past half-year, he’d had a really tough time.
Missing her every single evening…
“Really?!” Su Nian was surprised and just about to say more when Shen Hanxiu snatched the phone away, “It’s late, time to sleep!”
Su Nian hurriedly said, “Uncle Cheng! I’ll call you tomorrow! I’ll help you!”
Then the call was cut off by Shen Hanxiu.
He scolded her for being a busybody, then turned off the lights to sleep.
The next day, Su Nian and Jin Qiu met up with Ziyan and headed to the rendezvous on time.
Su Nian had been texting with Su Yuecheng but hadn’t yet told Ziyan that he was back.
After exchanging a few simple words with the blind date, she made an excuse that it just wasn’t a good fit, then left.
Su Nian said, “There’s another one, also nearby, the last one for sure!”
Jin Qiu confused: “Eh? When did another one pop up?”
Su Nian made up an excuse on the fly, “I set it up the other day.”
Ziyan thought, since it was just a quick meet-and-greet it wasn’t a hassle, and after all, Su Nian and Jin Qiu meant well.
So, she followed Su Nian.
The driver dropped them off at a tea restaurant, where dim lighting and low music created a romantic atmosphere.
Su Nian saw Su Yuecheng from afar and with a sneaky look said, “Yanyan, you go ahead, Qiuqiu and I haven’t had breakfast. We’ll order something upstairs.”
Ziyan, pointing at herself in surprise, couldn’t believe they were going to leave her to go on her own.
Su Nian patted her shoulder: “That guy knows sign language, seat number 52. Hold Dudu for me, come find us later.”
Seeing they’d just be upstairs, Ziyan nodded, figuring she’d just make everything clear and then could leave.
Jin Qiu, totally in the dark and holding Dudu, asked Su Nian on the second floor, “Nian’nian, what are you up to? What if Ziyan gets bullied?”
Su Nian then smiled mischievously and said, “My Uncle Cheng!”
“Ah? Your Uncle Cheng?” Surprised then giggling, “Oh gosh, why didn’t I think of your handsome uncle right away! Didn’t they spend a year together in the UK?”
The two women exchanged smiling glances, then chose seats along the second floor’s open corridor to watch the developments downstairs.
Ziyan followed Su Nian’s directions to seat number 52, and before she could figure out the numbering, heard a familiar voice call her name: “Yanyan.”
She turned to look and saw Su Yuecheng standing up and walking towards her.
Pleasantly surprised, Ziyan approached: “How come you’re here? When did you get back?”
Su Yuecheng just smiled, pulled out the stool opposite for her to sit, and answered, “Got here last night.”
Ziyan looked around, still assuming it was just a chance meeting with Su Yuecheng here, and was about to suggest meeting with that other person first before catching up, when she noticed the number on her seat: 52.
But why was Su Yuecheng the one sitting here?
As if he read her mind, Su Yuecheng carefully began to speak, “Nian’nian mentioned you’ve been going on blind dates recently?”
Ziyan nodded awkwardly.
“Met anyone suitable?”
She shook her head again, gesturing: Not planning on looking anymore…
“Why not?” Su Yuecheng was puzzled.
After all, what had Tang Shaosheng done to Ziyan? That had left a woman so hopeless about men.
Ziyan looked away, smiled without answering.
Su Yuecheng then bluntly asked, “What do you think of me?”
Ziyan’s puzzled gaze met his, her heart vaguely grasping something, a mix of shock and fear.
Su Yuecheng fell silent for a few seconds, then said, “Just think of me as an ordinary blind date.”
Ziyan turned away, she couldn’t do it, nor could she believe it.
