Chapter 807: Chapter 448: Invincible Spirituality_2

Sanderhagen’s head was buzzing, and blood flowed from his nostrils. He fell to the ground, unconscious.

The Lester people panicked and lifted him up. Suladar’s face changed: "Were we discovered?"

He stood up and flew into the air, looking cautiously towards the camp. But it was quiet over there. He could even see that the camp was surrounded by a large group of fireflies, their lights flickering, making the night look incredibly beautiful and dreamy.

It took them four hours to finally wake up Sanderhagen. He was so frustrated, wondering what had gone wrong. Were his insects eaten by fireflies?

He related the incident, and Suladar didn’t know what to say to console him. After a long silence, he finally said, "Sanderhagen, don’t try this again. Sakai, it’s your turn."

Another Red Barbarian nodded. For some reason, seeing Sanderhagen’s bad luck, he felt a little uneasy, even though he had confidence in his Divine Artifacts.

Sakai’s Divine Artifact was called "Giant’s Footprint". It was even more complicated to use than Sanderhagen’s. It required drawing a huge "footprint" in advance. As long as someone stepped on it, Sakai could use his artifact to enter that person’s Dream Realm at a specific time during the night, viewing all their memories.

Even the deep memories that the person themselves had forgotten.

This artifact and secret technique only worked on cultivators with a lower level than Sakai.

So Sakai acted in advance, rushing to where the Cornelia’s team was heading, and used his Divine Artifact to draw the largest possible "footprint".

The so-called "footprint" wasn’t really a huge mark, because who in their right mind would want to step on such a strange footprint? But it seemed that a woman did step on it? Never mind that.

In reality, the "footprint" was a range predetermined by Sakai using his artifact. As long as a person entered the area, they met the prerequisite. The range was indeed in the shape of a footprint.

To increase the success rate, Sakai went all out, marking a footprint over several hundred square meters, which was the limit of his current abilities. After drawing it, he was exhausted, sweating profusely, and weakened.

To their left was a dense forest filled with darkness, where strange vines coiled around the tree trunks like poisonous snakes hunting birds. There were Demon Plants not unlike morning glories, constantly spewing out poisonous mists.

Normal people would never choose to go through there.

To the right was a steep mountain range devoid of trees and vegetation. Every rock there was covered in a sort of moss that wriggled like flesh.

Would a normal person choose to climb such a peak? Probably not.

So, by tomorrow morning, the team at the camp would only choose to pass through the relatively flat area between the two. The greatest danger in this area was a few swamps hidden under the grass, which couldn’t even be considered a "nuisance" to cultivators.

As dawn approached, everyone had breakfast, and after Cornelia had consulted with Nicola, the group was ready to set off. But Shelia suddenly raised her pale little hand and pointed to the forest: "Let’s go this way."

Everyone exchanged glances. As they peered into the forest, the strange vines instantly retreated, and the "morning glory" plants closed their mouths at once.

But their innocent appearance only made them seem more terrifying, right?

Fiona Corrine tried to reason with Shelia: "Even if you’re not afraid of those Demon Plants in the forest, there’s no need for us to take risks. The road in the middle is easier."

Sheila seemed quite sure of herself: "The forest is easier to go through."

"Why?" asked Fiona Corrine curiously.

"The fireflies told me last night," Sheila answered the ridiculous claim.

Fiona Corrine’s eyes lit up, "You can communicate with those fireflies?"

Sheila shook her head: "I can’t. They don’t understand what I’m saying, and they won’t stop tickling me even when I ask them to. But for some reason, I think I can understand what they’re trying to tell me."

The others in the group found this unreliable and concluded that Shelia had just come up with a quirky idea and blamed it on the fireflies.

Owen Bertram looked at Shelia with interest. He knew that her true form was the Innate Jade Fetus, with unsurpassed spirituality, but he didn’t know if there was anything truly special about her.

"We’ll take the forest route," said Owen Bertram, and no one dared to oppose. Shelia declared, "I’ll lead the way, the fireflies told me how to go through the forest."

The team followed Shelia cautiously, ready to respond to any sudden danger.

Fiona Corrine, however, still held out hope that Shelia might actually know a way through the forest that could avoid the strange vines and morning glories.

When they entered the forest, Fiona Corrine gave up hope. Shelia was just walking randomly through the forest! They were surrounded by morning glory plants, and the strange vines were hanging overhead like mosquito nets!

Strangely enough, the Demon Plants remained motionless and harmless, merely pretending to be "inanimate" objects.

Sheila moved entirely by her own instincts during this journey, and what really came into play was... Owen Bertram.
