Chapter 627: Chapter 400: Tier-6 Poisonous Fog_4

The Void Light Black Water Serpent said, "This is the ancient treasure, the Five-toothed Battleship. Do not assume that I cannot recognize its value. If you want to take it, you must pay a sufficient price."

Owen Bertram said, "Your Excellency, please feel free to name your price."

"I want ten Tier-6 Spirit Pills," replied the Serpent.

Owen chuckled, "That’s quite a lion’s share, Your Excellency. If you insist on that, there’s no need to continue this discussion. I can give at most five Tier-5 Spirit Pills."

"Do you think you can deceive me?!" The Void Light Black Water Serpent became furious, causing all its illusions to tremble, and the entire area appeared more elusive.

This was the Serpent demonstrating its power. A Tier-6 Monster Beast had a certain chance of possessing a "domain" like human cultivators. This was the "Domain" that Colby Dominic had demonstrated to Owen before.

The most extensive domain of a Tier-6 Monster Beast could be even larger than any human domain and span over a hundred miles. However, since most Tier-6 Monster Beasts are less intelligent than humans, they often fail to comprehend the power of domains. Thus, human cultivators usually have the upper hand at this stage, contrary to the lower tiers.

The Void Light Black Water Serpent’s stance was clear: it was powerful enough to demand ten Tier-6 Spirit Pills from Owen.

Still, Owen shook his head, "I cannot afford that price. It seems you are unaware of how precious Tier-6 Spirit Pills are. The most I can offer is twenty Tier-5 Spirit Pills."

The Serpent roared in anger, accusing Owen of insincerity, and lowered its price to five Tier-6 Spirit Pills. After some negotiation, they eventually settled on thirty Tier-5 Spirit Pills as the final price.

Owen handed over the Spirit Pills, and the Serpent carefully inspected them one by one. It then blatantly said to Owen, "I have to count the money in front of you to avoid any disputes in the future."

Owen made a go-ahead gesture and then waited quietly. When the Serpent finally confirmed that the Spirit Pills were genuine, it reabsorbed the illusions and moved its body from the lake to a small river without being noticed.

It dragged its massive body out of its domain and told Owen, "Hurry up."

Owen nodded and stepped forward. He took out the Fiddle and gently plucked its strings. He searched for the remains of the Five-toothed Battleship hidden in the area based on the feedback from the waves.

Unexpectedly, Owen sensed something unique in a small lake. Feeling puzzled, he floated to the edge of the lake and pointed his finger at a spot. From the mud at the bottom of the lake, a sealed earthenware jar emerged.

Surprisingly, the jar could block the waves emanated from the Fiddle. Owen’s curiosity was piqued - what could be stored inside the jar?

However, the moment the jar left the water’s surface, it exploded, and a dense fog spread out rapidly. It seemed alive as it filled the entire void and enveloped the domain of the Void Light Black Water Serpent!

Owen cursed inwardly. This domain coincided with the range of the Serpent’s "territory"!

"You treacherous beast! How dare you ambush me!" Owen shouted angrily. He found himself engulfed by the gray fog, while the smug laughter of the Serpent echoed, "Brilliant."

"What an opportunity handed right to me."

"Once I devour you, I can advance to Tier-7!"

Owen was surrounded by the hazy fog, feeling lost and disoriented. He plucked the Fiddle, but the waves it produced received no response. It seemed they had been swallowed by the fog as soon as they entered.

Owen soared into the air, but no matter how high he flew, the fog enclosed the area. He instantly realized the situation – this was the power of the Void Light Black Water Serpent’s domain.

The Serpent’s voice rang out again, "Hehehe, why don’t you release your Ghost Army?"

Owen was already carefully examining the properties of the fog. With the Serpent’s question, he confirmed, "This fog is deadly poisonous to the Ghost Soldiers!"

"Hahaha!" said the Serpent, "Why don’t you give it a try?"

Owen naturally wanted to check. He gently stroked the Ghost Soldier Tiger Talisman, and several Ghost Soldiers appeared beside him. But the instant they touched the fog, they started to sway dizzily and were rapidly assimilated by the fog. As they disappeared, Owen’s control and sensing abilities over the soldiers vanished as well!

The Void Light Black Water Serpent felt triumphant, "I spent a hundred years refining this treasure with the essence of my life, the Nine Nether Underworld Spring, and Nether Spring Flower. It specializes in countering soul and divine skills. When combined with my domain, it is unstoppable. Since you have not cultivated a domain, do not waste your efforts. In it, you can only get lost. Even if you could resist the poison for a short while, you would eventually succumb and become my food!"

Owen tried to recall the Beans Soldiers constructing the Water Palace but found them entangled with numerous demon beasts!

"Sea-devouring Catfish is your accomplice too?" Owen questioned.

"All the Tier-6 demon beasts in Lock Beach are my allies," replied the Void Light Black Water Serpent. "It was unwise of you to come here and show off! Did you believe your strong Ghost Army and a few Tier-6 Great Ghosts could suppress the entire Lock Beach? Do not forget that there is no invincible technique in this world - the five elements can reinforce and restrain one another!"
