Chapter 92: Chapter 0092: Rules and Regulations

Tang Ming feigned sleep with his eyes closed, ignoring the guy completely. If he got annoyed, he would simply beat the guy up and send him packing.

Chen Cang suppressed his anger and asked again, "Which room are you sleeping in? Are you staying here because you’re a relative from the countryside, or are you here to protect Meng Ting?"

"Mmm."

Tang Ming responded noncommittally without opening his eyes.

"Are you related to Meng Ting?"

Chen Cang probed further.

"Mmm."

That was all Tang Ming said.

"Then you’re not allowed to fight with me at school, I’m a civilized person,"

Chen Cang said.

"Mmm."

"Is that the only thing you can say? Can’t you say something else?"

Chen Cang was getting impatient. If it weren’t for the fact that Tang Ming was too formidable, he would have knocked this guy down a long time ago.

"Damn."

"What?"

Chen Cang didn’t quite catch it and took a few steps closer to ask again.

"Fuck you!"

This time Chen Cang heard him loud and clear. His face turned red with rage, but thinking of how tough Tang Ming was, he could only turn around and leave, no longer wasting his breath on this guy.

Tang Ming lay still on the long chair, and when Chen Cang walked away, a smile curled at the corner of his mouth.

Having waited for most of the day, Chen Cang’s stomach was starting to growl with hunger, let alone Li Xiaoli, who had only had some rice porridge earlier.

"Hey, where the hell did you guys go? Did you buy the stuff?"

Chen Cang pulled out his iPhone and called Monkey. As soon as he got through, he started yelling.

At that moment, Monkey and his gang were enjoying a feast of spicy crayfish. Ecstatic with the food, Monkey grinned at the call from Chen Cang and said:

"Bro Cang, sorry, we’re stuck in traffic, we can’t make it for a while."

Sitting opposite him, Chen Jianwen gave Monkey a thumbs-up, signaling that Monkey was good at making up lies. They had previously agreed to delay their return to the Liu Family’s villa so that Chen Cang could spend more time there, thus increasing his chances of interacting with Liu Mengting. What they didn’t know was that Chen Cang was already on the verge of frustration.

Liu Mengting hadn’t been paying any attention to him, and trying to talk to her took so much effort, not to mention that Tang Ming was there, ready to send him to the hospital at any moment.

At the Liu Family’s villa, on the lawn, he felt as though time were crawling by.

"For real?"

Chen Cang, rubbing his stomach, reminded the caller:

"Then hurry up, man. I’m starving here."

"Don’t worry, the traffic will clear up soon."

Monkey said loudly, chuckling. He deliberately raised his voice so that Liu Meng could hear, hoping Chen Cang would stay by her side a little longer.

After hanging up, Chen Cang sat on a chair on the lawn, clutching his stomach in discomfort.

Li Xiaoli looked at Chen Cang with dissatisfaction and said:

"Fly, what are your brothers buying that’s taking so long? I reckon they would have been back by now even if they’d crawled there. Why is it taking forever?"

"They’re stuck in traffic. They’re still on the road right now."

Chen Cang didn’t mind Li Xiaoli calling him by his nickname; he was too hungry to care.

The group continued to wait, and after about twenty more minutes, Uncle Quan came over to ask Liu Mengting, "Miss, would you like me to prepare dinner for you?"

"No need to cook, I’ve sent someone to buy something. No trouble needed,"

Hearing this, Chen Cang felt like he was being slapped in the face. He immediately stood up to explain.

Liu Mengting just waved her hand dismissively, "There’s no need. He has sent someone to buy things; making more would be a waste."

"All right then,"

Uncle Quan nodded and retreated.

Li Xiaoli, touching her withered belly, said irritably:

"Fly, did your friend hit someone with his car? How come he’s still not back yet? You’re trying to starve me, a sick person, to death, aren’t you?"

Chen Cang’s face instantly turned red and then white. After thinking for a moment, he took out his phone to make a call. Once connected, he said fiercely, "Monkey, I don’t care what you’re doing, get back here immediately, or I’ll deal with you."

"Bro Cang, we’re almost there, just wait a bit longer."

Monkey thought Chen Cang was pretending again and laughed as he spoke.

Chen Cang was furious and cursed, "Son of a bitch, do you even know what time it is? I haven’t had a full meal since noon. Are you trying to starve me to death? If you don’t come back now, I’ll break your legs tomorrow."

"Ah, are you really hungry?"

Upon hearing this, Monkey’s head was filled with black lines.

"What do you think? What time is it? Aren’t we going to eat?"

Chen Cang said with a mix of anger and laughter.

"Don’t worry, Brother Cang. We’re almost there."

Monkey hung up the phone and immediately called for the bill and left. The three of them drove towards the Liu family’s villa at high speed.

Liu Mengting, listening to Chen Cang’s phone call, suddenly realized that they had been hungry for so long because of the mischief of that bunch of ruffian friends. But she didn’t expect that they actually made Chen Cang go hungry.

When the car arrived at the Liu family’s villa gate, Monkey and the other two brothers, carrying large and small bags of food, entered the house.

Seeing that there was food, Li Xiaoli immediately instructed them to put it on the dining table of the villa.

Although she was not happy about them entering the villa, Liu Mengting felt they obviously couldn’t eat in the yard since the food would quickly get cold, leading to Li Xiaoli’s illness possibly worsening if they ate a belly full of cold wind.

After putting down the things, Monkey stepped out of the villa and said with a smile to Chen Cang, "Bro Cang, we’ll wait for you outside. You stay inside for a while longer."

"Mm."

Chen Cang was so hungry that he couldn’t even get angry and walked straight into the dining room.

Only three chairs were placed around the huge dining table in the dining room where Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli were already seated, leaving just one chair free.

"Meng Ting, you must be starving. Hurry up and eat."

Chen Cang hurried over, intending to sit on the last chair, but unexpectedly, a figure rushed from behind him at great speed and plopped down on that very chair.

Chen Cang was stupefied, angry, and saw that it was Tang Ming who had taken the seat.

"How come you’re sitting here?"

Chen Cang said in surprise.

"Why can’t I sit here?"

Tang Ming replied as if he had heard a joke, "I always sit here when we eat at home."

"So where do I sit?"

Chen Cang asked anxiously.

"Sorry, but there are usually only the three of us who eat regularly at home, so the servants generally only set out three chairs in the dining room. You came so suddenly today that we didn’t ask them to bring out another chair. Why don’t you stand for a bit?"

Liu Mengting was also hungry, started eating snacks right away, and Li Xiaoli was not to be outdone. She was fully occupied with eating and had no time to talk.

"How can I eat while standing?"

Chen Cang was frantic.

"According to the rules of our household, you can’t eat until you sit down. You might as well just wait until we finish eating before you eat."

After Liu Meng said this, she buried her head and started eating.

All three of them were starving and only focused on wolfing down their food. Chen Cang couldn’t be bothered to stand aside and wait for them to eat. He turned around and went out to say a few words to Monkey and the others, naturally also wanting to ask if they had any other food, to cope with the hunger temporarily.

"Monkey, did you really not buy any other food?"

Chen Cang’s stomach was grumbling with hunger as he asked Monkey and the other two.

"Bro Cang, isn’t all the food on the dining table inside?

Why did you come out to ask us?"

Monkey was a bit puzzled.

"Damn it, the Liu family has rules that you can’t eat casually if you’re not seated. There are only three chairs in their dining room, and the last one was snatched by that bastard Tang Ming."

Chen Cang grumbled angrily. If it weren’t for maintaining a gentlemanly demeanor in front of Liu Mengting, he wouldn’t care about any stinking rules!
