Chapter 85: Chapter 0085: Gray Wolf Organization
"Tang Ming?"
After hearing this, Su Xiaoxi suddenly paused and asked, "So how did he provoke you? Is he very skilled?"
"Yeah, that guy is indeed quite formidable. My elder brother said that Tang Ming took down a Six-star Martial Artist with just one move."
Lin Xue said with some frustration, "Such a capable person is difficult to deal with. Xiaoxi, you better keep your distance from him!"
"What? Took down a Six-star Martial Artist with just one move?"
Su Xiaoxi’s mouth fell open in shock after hearing this, thinking to herself: "It seems that Tang Ming didn’t lose out at all that day. Instead, it must have been Sun Zhuangjia who was at a disadvantage! No wonder Sun Zhuangjia has recently been inquiring about Tang Ming’s background! So that’s how it is!"
That Tang Ming is really a bastard, still expecting me to pay him more. I thought he had suffered a big loss!
After Tang Ming left the police station, he thought about it and decided to hail a cab back to the villa; otherwise, he would miss dinner!
As it turned out, he arrived just in time for dinner. He muttered a sigh of relief, mentioned briefly to Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli what happened after he was taken in, and then started devouring his food.
Liu Mengting was used to this by now. Although Lin Xue was blustering, every time Tang Ming was taken to the police station, he got out quickly, implying that Lin Xue’s position at the station was rather ordinary; she couldn’t use her position for personal grudges against Tang Ming, and the other officers still understood proper conduct.
The meal took over forty minutes. Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli played in the villa’s garden for a while before heading back to rest on the third floor.
Tang Ming was in the backyard, pondering the day’s events. Who exactly had the Liu Family provoked for people to persistently try capturing Liu Mengting? Moreover, these people were not ordinary assassins; like the two he had defeated at the Tea House, they were clearly Six-star Martial Artist level.
If he hadn’t broken through his cultivation to Seven Stars, dealing with them would actually be a bit troublesome, at least not as easy as it is now.
And then there was that killer who died on the mountain road last time, who mentioned something about
"Flying Wolf Organization"
Were these individuals today also their accomplices? With so many questions, Tang Ming, no matter how clever, couldn’t figure it out by himself and had to ask the person involved.
After all, this trouble wasn’t his doing, and he didn’t even know who the Liu Family had offended.
Liu Mengting was a high school student, still in school, and definitely didn’t understand her family’s grudges, so the only option was to ask her father, Liu Gaoze.
Having made up his mind, Tang Ming went to find the butler, Uncle Quan.
"You’re looking for Mr. Liu?"
Uncle Quan looked at Tang Ming with furrowed brows and asked.
"Yeah, I need to ask him about something,"
Tang Ming nodded.
"But Mr. Liu oversees such a large conglomerate, he may not have time to see you."
Uncle Quan said, somewhat troubled. It was so late; how could Mr. Liu have time to come over?
But Tang Ming spoke seriously, "Uncle Quan, please tell Mr. Liu that there was another incident at the amusement park today. If he doesn’t come to clarify things for me, I might not be able to ensure his daughter’s safety next time. If something happens, don’t blame me for not being diligent."
Upon hearing what Tang Ming said, Uncle Quan’s face changed color, and he hurriedly said, "I will contact Mr. Liu immediately and let him know of the situation."
"Alright, thank you, Uncle Quan."
Tang Ming nodded, then returned to his room on the second floor.
At ten o’clock in the evening, while Tang Ming was sitting in meditation in his bedroom, someone knocked on the door loudly.
"Tang Ming, Mr. Liu is here. He’s waiting for you in the study."
Uncle Quan’s voice sounded from outside the door.
Tang Ming responded and got out of bed to open the door, then went down to the large study on the first floor.
As he neared the study, Tang Ming saw the door was ajar; Uncle Quan was inside talking about something with Liu Gaoze, who was slightly furrowing his brows, clearly troubled by something. However, when Liu Gaoze caught sight of Tang Ming standing outside through the door crack, he immediately called out with a beaming smile, "Tang Ming, come in quickly, I had Ah Quan prepare some pastries for you, see if they’re to your liking."
Tang Ming pushed the door open and entered, his mood lifted instantly upon seeing the various delicious-looking sweet treats on the desk, and without any hesitation, he sat down and started eating.
"Uncle Liu, calling you over so late didn’t disrupt the group’s business, did it?"
With his mood lifted, Tang Ming became much more pleasant and even inquired about the affairs of Liu Gaoze’s company.
"There’s no disruption, and besides, it concerns Meng Ting, I had to come over," replied Liu Gaoze softly to Uncle Quan, who quickly exited the room and casually closed the door behind him.
"Tang Ming, there was another issue at the amusement park during the day? Is someone trying to harm Meng Ting?" Liu Gaoze asked bluntly, having had Tang Ming sit down across from him at the desk.
"Yes, I guess it’s still people sent by that same organization, they are very strong and even had guns," Tang Ming replied honestly while unabashedly enjoying the pastries, "They must have someone inside the amusement park helping them, that’s why they managed to set us up so smoothly, but luckily, they didn’t succeed."
"It’s good they didn’t succeed; if anything happened to Meng Ting, I wouldn’t be able to face her mother."
After listening to Tang Ming, Liu Gaoze seemed a bit scared, clearly alarmed that their adversaries had escalated to using firearms. He understood that the enemy was relentless, sending wave after wave of attackers, and wondered when it would all end.
"Uncle Liu, I want to ask what kind of enemies you’ve made to have so many assassins come after you; that’s no small feat," Tang Ming inquired as he sipped the well-brewed tea.
"No particular enemies, just the usual business rivals," Liu Gaoze said with an unnatural look on his face.
"Business rivals?"
Upon hearing this, Tang Ming was somewhat incredulous, but just then, his phone, which Liu Fei had bought for him and only a few knew the number, began to vibrate in his pocket. He checked and saw it was an unfamiliar number. After a moment’s thought, Tang Ming answered, "Hello? Who is it?"
"Tang Ming, this is Lin Canghai, I’ve found out the identities of those two fake police officers, and it’s not simple," Lin Canghai cautioned, "They are members of the international mercenary organization Gray Wolf, but these two belong to a branch of Gray Wolf called Flying Wolf, you’re familiar with Gray Wolf, aren’t you?"
"Oh, I see, thanks," Tang Ming replied.
Of course, Tang Ming was familiar with the Gray Wolf Organization; it was an organization that gave him quite a headache in the past, having killed many of its members.
"All right, I won’t say much more. Please be patient with the trouble my sister is causing you," Lin Canghai said before hanging up the phone.
Tang Ming casually pocketed his phone, then looked at Liu Gaoze and asked seriously, "Uncle Liu, have you heard of the Gray Wolf Organization? Your business rivals are quite formidable, hiring their services."
"Gray Wolf Organization?"
At the mention of that name, Liu Gaoze’s expression finally changed, and his voice was filled with surprise.
