Chapter 81: Chapter 0081 Tea House

"Let’s go sit at Tea House for a bit."

Li Xiaoli looked around for a while and pointed to a shop in the distant rest area.

"Sure, let’s go there."

Liu Mengting was a girl after all and couldn’t bear too much pressure, especially after the terrifying dangers they had just experienced. Now barely able to stand, she naturally planned to rest a bit.

The three of them walked over slowly. At this time, some staff from outside came to ask if they were injured. All three said they were not and then left.

The portly manager received the news and arrived nearby. Seeing that the three were about to leave, he feared they would leave the amusement park directly and hurried over.

"Please wait a moment, the three of you."

The portly manager was so fat that after walking quickly for a few steps, he was already gasping for breath.

Tang Ming and the others heard someone calling out to them, stopped, and turned back to see a fat man in a suit approaching them.

"Who is this guy, so fat, like a pig, huh? Just by looking at him, I can tell he’s no good!"

Li Xiaoli watched the manager approach with a look of disdain.

"Xiaoli, it’s impolite to let others hear you say that."

Liu Mengting scolded.

By this time, Manager Tang was panting as he approached them. After catching his breath for a while, he said, "Did you three just come down from the Ferris wheel?"

"Yes, you are the manager of the park, right?"

Li Xiaoli immediately noticed the badge on the manager’s chest and burst out in anger, "What kind of lousy park is this? We nearly got killed! I don’t care, when I get back, I’m going to complain about you, get your park shut down, and make sure you have no business in the future."

Liu Mengting’s face also soured, as the recent event had greatly shocked her. It was hard enough to have a good time at the park without encountering such frightening incidents. If something had really happened, could she have ended up disabled?

She was lucky Tang Ming was there, or she wouldn’t have known what to do.

"Enough, there’s no point in arguing with him; he doesn’t own the park."

Tang Ming intervened to calm the two of them.

"Young man, this incident is our responsibility. If any of you are hurt, we are willing to take responsibility. Additionally, all expenses you incurred today will be on the house, courtesy of our park, as an expression of our apology," the manager said with a smile.

"That’s a pretty good attitude."

Tang Ming thought about not having to spend money and chuckled, realizing there were still quite a few restaurants in the park he hadn’t tried. If it was all free, he was going to have a good feast.

"Look at how easily you’re swayed."

Liu Mengting looked at Tang Ming with dissatisfaction and then led Li Xiaoli to Tea House to rest.

The manager watched them enter Tea House with a grin, then his expression turned grim as he turned and walked back to his office.

Inside the office, two men were sitting and waiting. As soon as the manager came in, the man with the buzz cut eagerly asked, "They haven’t left the amusement park, have they?"

"No, I’ve managed to keep them here for now. They’re resting at Tea House. This is your last chance," the manager stated flatly.

Inside the Tea House, Tang Ming and his two companions found a spot to sit down. Liu Mengting pulled out some money from her pocket and slapped it onto the table, saying, "Tang Ming, go buy something to drink. If you’re hungry, get some food too."

"Didn’t that fat guy say he was picking up the bill?"

Tang Ming asked, puzzled.

"He didn’t even come with us. Did you really think he was that generous? It was just a polite remark. Besides, we don’t need his charity."

"Go buy it," Liu Mengting instructed.

"Oh."

Tang Ming nodded and then headed straight for the bar area. The Tea House operated much like a fast food joint, only quieter and more suited for conversations. However, the prices here were on the higher end.

As Tang Ming rose to get some food, three men entered through the shop’s door, all wearing hats pulled low over their faces, making it difficult to see their features. They found a corner to sit down. One of them looked up towards the front rows of seats where Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli were sitting.

"It’s those two women. We want the one with the smaller chest. Go over and strike up a conversation, then just play it by ear like we discussed. Got it?"

The speaker was the same buzz-cut man from before, but now he was disguised, wearing a large hat and fake beard, looking entirely different from earlier.

"Got it."

A man in a white shirt removed his baseball cap and pulled out a pair of glasses from his pocket, then put them on, appearing refined and hardly the image of a criminal.

No sooner had the buzz-cut man finished speaking than he left the Tea House with his accomplice known as Xiao Wu.

About ten minutes later, the Tea House began to fill up with customers, clearly the visitors who had been frightened, seeking rest. By then, Tang Ming had also returned with his purchases to the table.

Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli each held a glass of juice, slowly sipping and continuously posting pictures and messages on their phones. They needed to share their scary aerial encounter on their social media circles.

Tang Ming didn’t care much about that, he was enjoying his dessert. And the Taiwanese sweets in the shop were indeed distinctive. He had already had several and, had he not considered that if he finished them all, there would be nothing left for Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli, he would have wiped out all the food on the table already.

"Excuse me, may I join your table?"

A polite man with glasses, holding a plate of food, asked with a smile.

Turning their heads, Tang Ming and his friends saw that every table in the Tea House was now taken.

"Sure, sit down. We’re done and about to leave anyway," Liu Mengting indifferently said as she sipped her drink and scrolled through her phone.

"Thank you very much."

The man set down his plate and began to take out his food—a meal set with rice and a cup of coffee.

He ate quietly and deliberately, seeming very peaceful.

"Hey, Tang Ming, are you done? Let’s go," Liu Mengting said after having enough rest. She was eager to leave Happy Valley, as the amusement park had left a sour impression on her. The Ferris wheel could malfunction, and instead of providing proper rescue measures, they had asked the girls to jump from a great height—unacceptable behavior in her view.

If it weren’t for Tang Ming being there, the two girls wouldn’t have known what to do. Thus, she was vehemently venting on her phone to her contacts, advising them against visiting Happy Valley.

Li Xiaoli was even more ruthless. She had started a thread on QQ Browser’s circle and QQ tribes detailing the day’s events, which caught the attention of many. The post had already received over fifty thousand views, leaving her no time to take a sip from her drink. She was busily chatting on her phone with numerous inquisitive netizens.

In any case, she had described the amusement park as Hell, cautioning all to steer clear.

Just as they were about to stand up and leave, something unexpected occurred!
