In the office of the patrol police, Lin Xue sat on a chair, holding the case files, and began to ponder.

The assistant Xiaogang carried the briefcase and headed towards the police station’s bail office.

But a few minutes later, he walked out quickly and came into the lobby.

Lawyer Huang asked curiously, "What happened? Do we need a signature from a social celebrity for the bail?"

"No, the people inside said Tang Ming has already been released,"

Assistant Xiaogang explained.

"Released?"

Lawyer Huang looked at Liu Gaoze, puzzled.

"He was actually released; how strange,"

Liu Gaoze was even more confused.

Lawyer Huang said, "Director Liu, on the way here I had already inquired. Your bodyguard not only seriously injured two men but the case also involves firearms. "Yes, Tang Ming is employed by you, isn’t he?"

The one who came chasing was Lin Xue; she had accidentally overheard lawyers coming to bail out Tang Ming and went to the lobby to check, just in time to spot Liu Gaoze. On a whim, she stopped him.

"Yes."

Liu Gaoze asked, "May I know what the officer comrade would like to ask?"

"Director Liu, with me present, there are some questions you may choose not to answer her,"

Lawyer Huang cautioned warily.

Lin Xue said with a smile, "Don’t worry, it’s just some routine questioning. I hope you can cooperate, and I won’t ask any difficult questions."

"Director Liu, you don’t have to cooperate with her."

Lawyer Huang reminded again.

Liu Gaoze smiled kindly and said, "Anyway, there’s no harm in cooperating with the police in their investigation. It’s what we, as citizens, should do."

Liu Gaoze said methodically, "Have you checked these things, Officer?"

The three left the police station, and Liu Gaoze got into a black Mercedes parked nearby, with Liu Fei behind the wheel.

"Director Liu, why didn’t Tang Ming come out with you? Was the bail not successful?"

"No, Tang Ming was released earlier. Our trip was unnecessary."
