My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 107 Bandit Driver

Chapter 107: Chapter 107 Bandit Driver

Tang Ming ignored the grateful looks from the mother and daughter, walked over to Brother Huo and asked, "Since Ma Gangqiang isn’t your backer, where’s the one you found? I must tell you I’m quite busy, and if you don’t find your boss soon, I’m really going to demolish your house and then let you taste what it’s like to be buried alive under the rubble."

"Ah!"

Brother Huo was startled, knowing that Tang Ming was ruthless, and even the second young master Ma Gangqiang was afraid of him, but now he had to find a way to defuse the situation with Tang Ming threatening him.

Feeling frustrated, Brother Huo took out his phone and called Ma Gangjian again, now relying on him to see if he could handle Tang Ming.

"Gangjian, it’s Brother Huo. I don’t know what happened to your brother just now, he inexplicably paid someone ten million, looking like he’s really scared of the other party."

Brother Huo walked to the side and whispered.

As soon as Ma Gangjian heard this, he sensed something was off and quickly asked, "Who’s that troublemaker? What’s his name?"

Brother Huo hurriedly replied, "Seems to be called Tang Ming, dressed like a student."

Ma Gangjian’s hand trembled with fear, and the phone dropped to the ground. It took a great effort to pick it up before he instructed Brother Huo, "You get out of there first, don’t mess with that Tang Ming, and as for the demolition, let’s put it on hold for now. We’ll talk about it after I’m discharged from the hospital."

Accidentally, he had blurted out that he was in the hospital, Ma Gangjian regretted it deeply.

Brother Huo was also confused and quickly asked, "Gangjian, what do you mean by ’discharged’?"

"Oh, it’s nothing, I misspoke. I’m watching a movie, leaving the cinema."

Ma Gangjian offered an explanation, then hung up the phone.

Brother Huo, holding the phone, began to slowly recall that Tang Ming had first asked Ma Gangqiang, and he seemed to have mentioned something about his brother being in the hospital. It looked like it might be Tang Ming’s doing; otherwise, why would Ma Gangqiang be so scared upon arrival?

All of a sudden, Brother Huo understood; Tang Ming was so fierce, he must have been the one to beat Gangjian. Thinking that neither of the Ma brothers was a match for Tang Ming, Brother Huo’s back started to sweat with cold fear, realizing he really should get out of there.

"The boss said he’ll be here soon, I’ll go ahead and meet him."

Brother Huo lied, then quietly signaled to Scar Face and a few others and quickly boarded the undamaged minibus and sped away.

Tang Ming was stunned for a moment, then realized what had happened and cursed, "Damn it, they ran away. Fatty, see if that Ma Gangqiang kid is still around. This must have something to do with the Ma Family."

Fatty, upon hearing this, started looking for Ma Gangqiang, but in just a moment, the guy had vanished into thin air. There was no need to ask; it was clear he had taken off first.

"Ming, Ma Gangqiang is gone too, looks like he’s run away."

Fatty said.

"Forget it, they’re definitely going to develop this shantytown. You can run for a while, but you can’t hide forever."

Tang Ming thought and said.

Just then, a taxi pulled up from outside, with a nurse in tow. The car stopped at the edge of the ruins, and the driver got out, cursing and clearly annoyed, "Who’s the relative of this person? Hurry up and take them, and pay my fare while you’re at it."

The nurse, carrying the IV drip, got out of the car first and said discontentedly, "Driver, could you show a little public spirit? It’s not like he isn’t paying the fare. Is it such a big deal to drive slower because he’s hooked up to an IV? You’ve been grumbling the whole way. What’s wrong with you!"

"Nurse, if you weren’t pretty, I would have dumped this guy off the car a long time ago. I don’t take nearly-dead patients; what if he dies in my car? That’s bad luck, you know?"

With his hands on the car roof, the driver said menacingly, "Damn it, do you know this is prime time to make money? I take him, can’t drive fast, and in the time I’m wasting, I could be making two trips’ worth of money!"

When Xia Wei’er and her mother saw the person inside the car, they were shocked to realize it was Xia Wenjun, who had just been rushed to the hospital. They hurried over nonetheless.

They were puzzled. Wasn’t Xia Wenjun hospitalized?

Why was he back in a taxi? What on earth happened?

The fat man was also getting annoyed at this point. He pulled Tang Ming aside and said angrily, looking at the arrogant, amoral driver, "Bro Tang, this guy is disgusting, I want to take care of him."

Tang Ming glanced sideways at the driver and said, "If you want to sort him out, go ahead. People like him need a lesson. Teach him that the purpose of a taxi is to serve and facilitate the public before making money."

Inspired by Tang Ming, the fat man slowly approached the taxi. In the meantime, the driver, with a cigarette in his mouth, yelled at Xia Wei’er and her mother, "Hurry up, if he dies in my car, I’ll never let it go."

The onlookers at this moment were infuriated when they heard these words. What kind of driver was this? He wasn’t behaving like a human being.

The fat man sidled up to the driver and taunted, "Driver, you’ve got such a big attitude, why are you driving a cab? You should just drive for the president."

"Fuck off, none of your business. Get lost, fatso, or I’ll smack you," the driver snarled as he tossed away his cigarette butt and began to threaten the fat man, who obviously had a smaller frame. The larger man’s presence scared him, causing him to step back.

Emboldened, the driver laughed boisterously: "Look at you, what a wimp."

Tang Ming shook his head. The fat man really needed to toughen up. He decided to take matters into his own hands; without further ado, he delivered a flying kick that knocked the driver to the ground, then mocked with a laugh, "Right, look at you, what a wimp!"

The driver felt as if his back had been struck by a hammer, his body ached intensely, and he struggled to breathe, unable to get up. Seizing the chance, the fat man joined in, kicking the driver in a fit of vengeance, and then said, "Just drive properly, don’t bully the common folk like we’re nobody. Remember, without passengers, you might as well be left out in the cold."

Xia Wei’er, her mother, and the young nurse managed to get Xia Wenjun out of the car. Watching the scene, everyone felt a collective sense of relief.

A moment later, Tang Ming dragged the driver back into the driver’s seat and said, "If you don’t scram now, I’ll give you another one."

"No, I’ll go, I’ll go right away."

This driver, obviously a thug turned cabbie, often bullied people to extort high fares. When he met a tough customer, he was no different from a whelp and hastily drove away as if fleeing the battlefield.

After getting rid of the taxi driver, Wei’er’s mother turned to her husband with a complaint, "How did you get discharged?"

"I’m fine. It seemed like a waste of money to stay in the hospital, so I checked myself out," Xia Wenjun said weakly.

The nearby nurse added, "Actually, the patient should have stayed for more observation. But he insisted on leaving, and the hospital couldn’t do much. Since there was nothing wrong with him, naturally, he couldn’t use the ambulance, so I flagged down a taxi to send him home."
