Chapter 92: Apologizing to Yingying and Wuhen!

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Apologizing to Yingying and Wuhen!

"Of course, I am because it was I who saved the young master."

Chu Nanli answered with certainty.

At the end of her words, she turned to Bai Wuheng, "Mr. Bai is a renowned Divine Doctor in the world. With regard to the two symptoms the concubine Lin just mentioned, do you truly believe they’re just allergies? First, Concubine Lin’s observation may not be perfect. Secondly, many diseases manifest in the early stages just like allergies."

Bai Wuheng’s face turned cold, "What are you implying?"

He had never been questioned about his medical skills before. A mere vulgar woman dared to question him; wasn’t she afraid of making a fool of herself?

Chu Nanli said, "Poisoning could also manifest like this."

Lin Fuying’s heart skipped a beat.

Could it really be poisoning?

But when she looked at Bai Wuheng, he gave her a reassuring look.

Lin Fuying immediately calmed down.

Even if Chu Nanli knew some medicine, how could she compare with Brother Wuhen?

"Impossible. There are no symptoms of vomiting, what sort of poison would that be?" Bai Wuheng scoffed lightly, "Perhaps I should prescribe a medicine for the Princess Consort to cure her brain."

Chu Nanli said coolly, "You truly are a quack doctor. Just from the fact that you initially used a fetus for medicine, it’s clear that your medical skills are not fine—using a live fetus cannot cure diseases!"

Mrs Wu’s eyelid twitched, and she instinctively looked towards her stomach.

She seemed to have heard rumors that War God Residence’s Princess Consort was pregnant, but she didn’t know if it was true...

"Chu Nanli!" Ye Yunting strode forward with a dark face and fiercely gripped Chu Nanli’s arm, "Stop embarrassing me in public! Guards, the Princess Consort is mentally unstable today, take her away and confine her!"

Yanyan was shocked and quickly intervened, "Prince, this servant believes the Princess Consort. Please allow her to finish her speech."

Chu Nanli, observing the expressions of those in the courtyard, felt that the timing was almost right and directly stated, "The young master was poisoned by snake venom; he was bitten by a snake."

Lin Fuying’s eyelids twitched suddenly.

Mrs. Wu’s expression also changed.

Ye Yunting glared at Chu Nanli with brooding eyes.

"Are you still raving mad?"

Chu Nanli forcefully pushed his hand away, stepped back two steps to create some distance, and then said to him, "I hope that when the truth comes out, the Prince will realize who is truly mad."

Ye Yunting: "..."

Chu Nanli looked at Mrs. Wu, "Does the young master have a snake bite on his leg?"

Mrs. Wu looked troubled.

She had not really noticed. The boy had woken up as soon as he was brought to the residence; he only mentioned he fainted due to shortness of breath and a girl from War God Residence saved him, nothing else was known or spoken by him.

Seeing he was not seriously hurt, she asked someone to call a doctor to check again, but before the doctor arrived, she hurried over with gifts to express thanks.

However, Mrs. Wu’s expression was misunderstood by the three people, Ye Yunting.

Lin Fuying said, "Sister, why are you asking the general’s wife about a nonexistent situation?"

Bai Wuheng also spoke displeasedly, "Princess Chu, you should rein in your hysteria. The girl Yingying saved him, no matter how much you rave, the credit will not be yours."

Ye Yunting ordered sternly with a dark face, "Apologize to Yingying and Wuhen!"

This was the first time Mrs. Wu saw the imposing War God and the renowned Bai Divine Doctor uniting to press aggressively against Chu Nanli on behalf of a concubine.

Seeing Chu Nanli’s frail and slender figure, she felt a hint of pity.

"You must have misunderstood; this madam doesn’t know whether there’s a wound on the boy’s leg or not. I need to have someone go back and ask."

After her words, the courtyard fell silent except for Ye Yunting’s stern face, whilst Bai Wuheng and Lin Fuying had somewhat interesting expressions.

Just then, a commotion came from outside.

"Young master, slow down."

Mrs. Wu furrowed her brows and turned to look.

A handsome young man came running in from outside, followed by several bodyguards.

"Mother! Did you find the benefactor sister?"

Chu Nanli sharply noticed the slight unnaturalness in his leg.

He really was bold, daring to run after just being bitten by a snake.

Mrs. Wu grabbed the young man and asked, "Do you have a wound on your leg?"

The young man’s eyes darted around, "What wound? I’m just allergic, heh, allergic."

Lin Fuying felt a great relief and looked at Chu Nanli as if she were looking at a dead person.

"Sister, did you hear that? Please apologize to the general’s wife now. You insisting the young master was bitten by a snake was really impolite."
