So there he was, anxiously standing at the hospital entrance for ten minutes, only to find it was just a superficial cut that any street clinic could handle.

His expression was casual, and he seemed relaxed, but his eyes were boldly fixated on her.

Their eyes met, and he showed no sign of looking away—in fact, he became more brazen, staring directly into her eyes unblinkingly.

Lu Jingyan felt somewhat helpless under his gaze; she tightened her grip on the steering wheel and slowly returned her gaze to the road ahead, yet her peripheral vision couldn’t help but drift his way now and then.

He was still watching her.
