Chapter 378: 377 Catching the Cheater? The Little Fox Stretches Out Its Claws (2 More)

Zac Cruz now also felt a splitting headache.

Most tips gave a specific room number, making it unlikely this matter was bogus.

Who the hell was the dumbass who couldn’t keep it in his pants?

If this blew up, with the wedding yet to be held, the whole Capital City would have a good laugh.

By the time they reached the 18th floor, the police had already entered the room in cooperation with the hotel manager. From a distance, they could hear a woman’s piercing scream.

"...What the hell are you doing? Get the hell out of here!"

"We received a tip claiming there’s prostitution happening here. Please present your IDs," the officer said, handling the matter by the book.

"What? Prostitution? Are you mistaken? Do you know who I am?" A man’s voice spoke up, "The two of us are boyfriend and girlfriend."

"ID first, please."

The couple hemmed and hawed, reluctant to produce their documents.

The police stood firm, and finally, the IDs had to be handed over.

William Hale stood at the door, signaling for Zac Cruz to come in and take a look.

Upon entering the room, Zac Cruz saw a sailor outfit on the floor, along with some other trinkets that made him feel as if his eyes were about to fail him.

Damn—

Such kinky play.

The woman had wrapped herself in a blanket, not even daring to show her face, while the man was negotiating with the police, insisting they were a couple.

"Isn’t this Young Master Jeans?" Zac recognized the man.

The man, seeing Zac, paused, then said, "Assistant Cruz, please tell the officers, I’m here with my girlfriend, They insist I’m engaging in prostitution, how could that be possible?"

The officer looked at Zac Cruz, seemingly inquiring about the truth.

Zac nodded, "He does have a girlfriend, and they’re due to get engaged before the new year."

"The other party is a lady from the Jones Family."

"Jones?"

The officer looked at the ID of the woman in his hand and passed it to Zac Cruz for a glance, "Is this her?"

Zac looked and his vision darkened!

It was a Jones!

But not his girlfriend.

Without asking further, the officer, gauging Zac’s reaction, simply said, "Get dressed quickly and come with us to the station."

"Officer, I really am not soliciting..." Young Master Jeans tried to explain regardless, but he couldn’t provide any proof of a legitimate relationship between the two.

Chat logs, photos together, anything would have sufficed.

But they had nothing.

Zac Cruz stepped out of the room, walking beside William Hale.

"What’s going on?" Tim Payne inquired, "They aren’t a couple?"

"No, they’re not, but it’s not that kind of relationship either, it’s... a bit complicated," Zac didn’t elaborate, not wanting to sully the two gentlemen’s ears.

Obviously, this relationship was shady.

William had no interest in these messy male-female affairs. As long as it didn’t blow up and affect the other guests or the wedding tomorrow, that was fine.

Now realizing the need for decency, the couple used clothes to cover their heads as they left the room.

"Claiming to be a couple, yet afraid to show your faces?" the officer said, unimpressed.

They’d seen it all before; lying to them was futile.

The couple kept silent.

However, passing by William and Tim, they were intimidated into silence by their cold and daunting presence.

They all needed to go downstairs, thus they ended up walking together.

The atmosphere was dreadfully awkward.

The girl had wrapped her head with a piece of clothing, leaving only her eyes visible, and seemed to be in shock, her body still trembling. Tim caught sight of Zac Cruz standing to the side, his face filled with righteous indignation and disdain.

Reading their faces spelled out three words:

Shameless couple!

Tim chuckled softly, not expecting William’s assistant to have such a strong sense of justice.

He glanced at his phone; it was almost 11:30.

They had intended for the police to simply take them away, as such matters involved personal privacy and the police wouldn’t normally disclose any details. However, just as they reached the ground floor, the elevator opened and there stood several people outside.

"What’s happened here?" someone outside the elevator inquired.

And then,

Young Master Jeans inside the elevator heard the familiar voice and turned pale, "Mom, Mom?"

Originally nodding while looking at his phone, Tim lifted his head at this statement.

His eyes immediately spotted a girl in a beige down jacket among a group of people outside the elevator.

Why is it her?

The girl looked at the people inside the elevator with a face full of surprise.

A man and a woman, disheveled clothing, and police watching over them—any fool could guess what had happened.

"You scoundrel, what are you doing!" The middle-aged woman’s face turned beet red with anger as she slapped her son and pointed at the woman beside him, "Who is this? You’re about to get engaged, and you’re doing something like this?"

"I want to see which vixen has seduced you."

As she spoke, she reached out to grab the woman’s clothes.

"Stop, don’t..."

"You little whore, seducing my son; now you remember to be ashamed."

"Mom, please don’t do this, there are so many people here."

"You’re still defending her? Have you lost your mind? On such an occasion, such a day, and you’re fooling around here!"

The woman was about to explode with rage.

Especially since she caught a glimpse of William Hale and Tim Payne standing off to the side.

She wished she could just roll her eyes back and faint on the spot!

It’s over,

how did this mess manage to involve Mr. Hale and Junior President Payne?

They are definitely going to be resented now.

Tomorrow is Mr. Hale’s wedding, and this hotel is where their guests are being accommodated. The Jeans family wanted to cover it up but dared not say it outright.

They couldn’t possibly expect someone like William to help them hide such filthy business.

The elevator, no matter how spacious, couldn’t accommodate three grown adults wrestling inside, and the police officer frowned before quickly dragging everyone out of the elevator.

It was at this moment...

Tim Payne clearly saw the girl standing outside the elevator extend her foot.

The girl who had been covering her head with clothes fell to the ground with a "thud," letting out an agonized cry. The girl frowned and said, "That sound, why does it seem so familiar?"

The woman who fell scrambled up but in her panic, her face was revealed.

"Sister? Why is it you!"

"Didn’t you say you were out playing with friends? What’s going on here?"

"Why are you guys together? What are you doing so late at night?"

Her face was a picture of innocence and naivety.

It seemed as if she had suddenly realized something, her expression turned extremely pained, "If you really like him, I can step aside, but how could you guys..."

Upon hearing this, William finally took a proper look at the people involved in the commotion.

No wonder Zac Cruz hadn’t finished his sentence just now.

Turns out Young Master Jeans had gotten involved with his future little aunt, what a sordid affair.

Tim Payne watched the downtrodden girl, frowning.

He chuckled inwardly:

Quite the actress!

When she tripped the other girl, she didn’t hesitate for a second.

...

A group of people crying and making a scene were taken to the police station, but Mrs. Jeans made a point to turn back and apologize to William, saying she was sorry for involving him and Junior President Payne, and that they would visit with her son to apologize another day.

"Young Master Jeans has some nerve too, to have an affair with his future little aunt. Tonight, both families will be in an uproar. It’s uncertain if their arranged marriage will continue," Zac muttered to himself.

"And it’s a pity for that Jones Family’s young miss, so pretty yet with such poor taste in men."

"It used to be said that Young Master Jeans doted on her so much, always sending her bags and jewelry."

William glanced at him, "You’re quite chatty today."

Zac gave a wry smile.

He was just reflecting and gossiping a little.

Tim watched as the two families disappeared, sneering inwardly:

Pitiful?

He had thought she was just a blind and gullible girl deceived by a scumbag, but now she seemed more like a crafty, scheming little vixen.

How coincidental that these two would be caught together and reported?

That’s rather interesting.

After the incident, William lost interest in staying. He greeted those in the private room before taking his brother and heading home early.

The midnight radio was playing soothing music.

Tomorrow, the sun will shine brightly again.
