Mrs Fox Heinous Revenge: Can You Love A Villainess like Me? -
Chapter 52: Make Her Proud
Chapter 52: Make Her Proud
"Bai HaiZe?" Canary repeated the name that AiLin had just spoke about, "I didn’t remember this name being in one of the target for your revenge. Did you just remembered this person and his sins?"
Pressing her lips, AiLin shook her head and even let out a laugh. "Come on, you know I have a great memory Canary. I didn’t forget it, this person is different. My benefactor you could say? I just want to see how he is doing now. There shouldn’t be a lot of people with the same name so if you could find that person for me, I’ll be thankful for life."
"Oh come on, too much thanking," Canary waved her hand, "I’ll find everything about him down to the color of his underpants for you by tomorrow, don’t think too much about it."
"I know," AiLin softened her lips. She was really glad to have someone like Canary as her friend. A supporter and a friend who would be there through thick and thin. "Should we go and have fun today? I have a little surprise for you, I can treat you to anything— no limit!"
Now that she has Li ZiChen luxurious and oddly nerving black credit card, AiLin was confident she could satisfy anything that Canary ask from her. Canary jumped happily on her feet but she immediately was plagued by a phone call that made her face sour.
"Work?" AiLin asked and Canary nodded her head with a pout, "You just reminded me I have a meeting about buying a new land for the casino that we planned."
"Well it can’t be helped," AiLin said tenderly, "I’ll treat you next time then! Don’t worry, we will meet each other again soon. By the way Canary, have you find anything about your own target?"
Studying her friend’s expression, she realized that Canary clamped up upon the mention of her own target. The two had left the prison thinking about the people who had ruined their lives and whose lives they wanted to ruin once they achieved the unimaginable power. There were quite a few names on Canary’s list as well, though not as much but it was more twisted as it includes her step fathers and her birth mother.
"Everything is going smoothly but I," drawled Canary as she sneered, "I want to make it more sufferable for them. I know what they hate on losing."
"I see," AiLin also shared her smile, "I wish you good luck then. Do tell me what I can help you with your own plan."
"Oh silly, the money you have given me was more than enough. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to even start my plan."
"Yes yes, you’re so lucky to have a friend like me so treasure me well alright?" AiLin sang as she walked toward the office. Pressing her finger to her lips, she then waved a kiss goodbye to Canary. Her heels clank down the stairs as she met with the brothers who greeted her like a jumping group of excited retriever dogs.
Once AiLin left, the smile and happy mien on Canary slowly faded. She reached out her hand to her phone that had rang and her expression turned dark as she narrowed her eyes at the name that had just called her. Convincing something that seemed to have been rolling in her head for days or event months, Canary spoke to herself in a mutter, "She doesn’t need to know about this. I was the one who messed up. I need to be able to clean this problem as soon as possible. It only involves me and my own past after all."
The dread filled Canary’s eyes as she fiddled her thumb on top of her phone’s screen, her face going darker and darker by each passing second.
By the time AiLin arrived at the shopping mall it was three hours after she had met Canary. On the way, she stopped by various places. She looked around at the stores that she remembered to be her favorite and bought some of their stuffs. She was filled with nostalgia when she found the things she had left before she entered the prison while also finding some places had been shut down and a force telling her to move on to the future.
She decided to grab a few things as Li ZiChen had told her. Although this card wasn’t hers, she didn’t any problem using it and she didn’t have any problem in taking it to her best advantage though with a mindful limit. The place she first visited was none other than a shop. Her eyes scanned the dresses in it and she wondered if wearing a flowery dress would be a great first impression.
"Oh my," a loud gasp snapped AiLin as she visualized herself in the lilac dress.
Turning her had, she thought the gasp was resounded to her but it turns out that there was a group of older ladies around a younger girl who seemed to be three years younger than AiLin herself.
Upon first look, the girl was exceptionally adorable. Her lips were puckered and round, her eyes were blinking like a deer, and her short bangs that settled above her eyebrows appeared rather endearing as well. The girl fiddled her hands as she pursed her lips. She looked in trouble as if she was surrounded by hyenas.
"I understand that you would have a problem choosing a dress for yourself, XuanXi. So your aunties are going to help you in it. First off, this dress you’re wearing. It’s too ugly and outdated, the color makes you look fat, and you know, dearest that you are already plump enough. If you continue to let yourself lose control like this, one day or another, you will find yourself with no offer of date or marriage. Wouldn’t that greatly embarrass your mother who also suffered similar problems? You should make her proud by changing her last flaws into some achievement."
A sharp sting of words, all full of toxic poisons poured as if it was sputtered by hate.
AiLin wondered why these women were so vicious to such a young girl when it’s apparent that she is their niece.
